My girl won their CD on a radio call in and gave it to me. We went to a local club to see them and Cry of Love for the cost of 2 donated toys for Toys for Tots. Blew my head clean off inside The disc is still on my favorites list and the band still is too. Awesome recording. If I could only play drums like that.
This reminds me of a time when I saw SCW in VA. I was with this female who decided to tell the bouncers that this guy put his hand on my butt. So, the bouncers decide to kick him out. The ass grabber throws his beer bottle and some innocent mans face caught it! Moral of the story? Mind your own business cause innocent ppl can get hurt!

I saw SCW with Brother Cane about 17 yrs ago @ a small club in KY. Everyone was just sitting on their asses ! OMG it took everything I had not to leap out of my chair and just jam out on the dance floor!!!!! I loved every song they made:) I miss them madley:(
Great video and a real nice editing job. I happened upon their self-titled cd today in a close out bin. Paid 50 cents for it and it rocks. I heard these guys on the radio a little bit in the S.F.Bay Area, way back when, but never knew much about 'em or had a chance to see 'em live. They should have been famous............they are smokin'.
Got to see these guys at the music farm in charleston SC back in 96 and they blew me away. The icing on the cake was getting to party with them after the show! Mike Farris is a really cool cat.
This is my first viewing of the cheetah wheelies. I have seen Mike Farris twice on Delbert McClintons cruise with the Rosland Rythym Review, doing the most kick ass gospel music I have ever heard,,look him up on you tube he is still awsome..
One of my all time favorite songs. I challange anyone to get on a highway, turn this song to eleven and see if you can drive slower than 100 mph. Wish I could have seen them live. Never seen them come around the Detroit area but probably just missed them. DAMN!
The bass player Steve has a brother named Jeb, who took a right handed strat and plays it upside down, and is one of the finest guitarist, songwriters you'd ever want to hear play. Haven't heard about Ewing in years, hope he is OK.
i miss their live shows soo much... i miss them too. such quality guys, every last one of them. the best live show ever. you could feel it in the crowd, there was this incredible atmosphere of happiness and love, i've never experienced it since.
After watching this vid...I am reminded how MUCH I miss there guys! Mike is doing good sruff now....don't get me wrong, but man oh man to see these guys live was just..........unbelievable....caught this show and also Many others. Thanks for the GREAT post!
I'm with you, I miss them a lot too. Love Mike's solo stuff but the days of all us Wheelie folks meeting up for the shows from all over was such good times!
so right StephNGreg! a good friend turned me on to theese guys! saw them in NYC and at the Stony Pony in jersey...cant sit still in my seat watchin this one..
One Day I went to the club and was charged a cover for a band was playin that night. I paid the 10$, and stood there and watched the most amazing band I had never heard of. Bought the CD BIG WHEEL that night. and forever will remain a SCW fan, I play 5 of there cd that I have in the background at my desk job every day 4 yrs straight. these guy can play, the words just roll for all walks of everyones life. Mike your missed
Back in 1999/2000 I saw these guys 6 times in 10 days. I was following ZZ Top around on their XXX tour and SCW were opening the dates I saw in the South. I bumped into Mike backstage in Jackson Mississippi and again on the sidewalk outside the arena in Little Rock Arkansas at 1:00 am. Cool guy and awsome band.
Man oh Man do we ever miss these guys. We have the luxury of living in Nashville, and saw them several times..even road tripped to shows in other states. We have met the guys all after the shows as they would come out and visit with fans. WOOOO WOOOO Does anyone have video of them doing Ride The Tide/Sympathy for the devil together..it was unbelievable..wasa closing song in Nashville (either 328 Performance Hall (RIP) or 3rd and Linsley we think..When the stones came to Nashville. We chose SCW
Great live band seen those guy's many many times, if you can't feel that you need your PULSE checked...Maybe one day it will happen again in the mean time enjoy mikes new Disc "Salvation in Lights" it's really good...
My favorite band of all times. No one rocks out like these guys. saw them first on side stage at what is now PNC then followed them to Wetlands and a few other places in NYC. Miss them badly Your video reminded me of why they are #1
Awesome song, Awesome band!!!! I was bummed as many others when i heard they were breaking up. Mike Farris Rules!!!! Wish they would have made it here to the Northwest, Noone here even heard of them, That's a Shame!!! Thanks for the Great Live Postings, i had pretty much given up on finding any on here.
THANK YOU! I LOVE this band! Had the fortune of seeing them live many times and I miss them terribly...I just saw Mike Farris this past Friday and even though he's changed his style and giving his praises to God, he's still rockin!
Is that you, brother Rob !? Tony D From Atlanta here.... you gave me my first SCW boot many years ago ! Hardly a day goes by I dont think of the roadtrips and fun at SCW shows ! Lets catch up !
