This was a fantastic experience for me. I was at the very front-center. Fought for 4 and a half hours to get to the railing, stood with two bottles of water in each pocket, and a gatorade, and never sat down.. I was so tired, I had to leave when Portishead arrived.
We got the front and saw part of Death Cab, then Kraftwerk (!), then Portishead (!), & stayed through Prince's rad 2 hour set! I could bearly stand up after that and still had to walk to the car but it was completely worth it. Glad you had fun!!!
These guys are pioneers of modern music and never have gotten the credit they deserve! Very talented and innovative. Electric Cafe is my favorite album of theirs.
Although Electric Café was not very successful. I've heard that Computer World is considered their last great album. I totally disagree with it. Electric Café is great and Tour de France Soundtracks is insanely great :D
Yes. Remember that Tour de France was really a single not associated with an album and it blew me away...... It still does. It's brilliant, plays well with Computer World. =)
Kraftwerk is a dimension unto its own.

I think he said Tour De France Soundtracks, their album from 2003.

He did. I got that. The original one is the better one IMHO.

Probably, although the version from TdFS is blindingly good though, probably the best track on the album :P
