I have a question, do you read the New Testament as much as the book of Mormon? I have some friends who are Mormons and they were amazed when talking to me cause they realized they didn't know half of what's in the Bible. I felt so bad for them! Just curious, how is someone baptized into a church? One thing is clear, the Bible always places believing in Christ for salvation and baptism together.
Galatians 3:27 - We put on Christ when we are baptized.
Just make sure you are being baptised into Jesus, the correct Jesus (Mark 13:6; 21-22)

And yes, you are correct, we do need to read the scriptures in context. Such as Romans 8, where Pauls speaks of us being becoming joint-heirs of God through and alongside Christ.

And yes, you are correct, we do need to read the scriptures in context. Such as Romans 8, where Pauls speaks of us being becoming joint-heirs of God through and alongside Christ.
