I disagree with the suggestion that the ADE651 devices did not work; at a unit cost of $250 each and selling for $40,000 each, it is obvious they worked as they were supposed to do by making the vendors rather wealthy.
It is unfortunate that they did not detect any explosives but, then, what would one really expect of a couple of empty plastic boxes and a radio aerial on a fancy holder?
