Indeed, as from the very Mouth of the Archangels, comes this call "Kuri'e Eleison, Christ'e Eleison, Kuri'e Eleison," and in the Grandest Tradition of Expectancy of the New Heaven and New Earth, an Old Belief that I personally cherish. So does the Knowledge of the Lord cover the Earth as the Sea, and Leonardo [di Vinci] Arno brought into discourse for matters of Science the Way by which water is transported, as through veins of a single Great Body upward [defying Gravity] to mountains of Earth.
I love this. This is so, so beautiful. Thank you so much for posting this masterpiece! This is brilliant, soothing, and oh so beautiful! I have never heard this sung so beautifully in my life. Beautiful, just Beautiful!
Fantastic singing quality as usual from Westminster Choir School. When in London I went to attend mass at Westminster Cathedral often. Coincidentally, this mass was sung at St. Michael's Cathedral (Toronto, Canada) by my alma mater St. Michael's Choir School this past Sunday.
Why is it that we so rarely hear the Mass sung by a choir in a Roman Catholic building (Cathedral, Church, Monastery, etc.)to this superbly high standard?
The Anglicans do it routinely ....what is it that prevents even St Peter's in Rome, from achieving anything like this standard of performance??
Massively for the irreverence caracterizing the "new mass". For an ugly mass you need ugly music, so in with guitars and drums. This music was born to be sung in the catholic mass (gregorian rite, commonly known as Tridentine Mass or S.Pius V Mass, now "extraordinary form of the Roman rite")
Without doubt Westminster Cathedral Choir is the best cathedral choir of all England!

The simple answer is : the Clergy of the Roman Catholic Church. Most of them are straigh-jacketed in the 1970's/80's.
Take heart, many young priests and the Holy Father himself are re-affirming the teaching of the Church in relation to sacred music.
