Being required to show ID only proves the success of al-Qaeda with fear established and freedoms violated. Surveillance is not freedom. Having to ask for permission is not freedom. ID requirements are not freedom. Most are not willing to be inconvenienced in challenging these requirements let alone initiate a real legal battle or protest. After researching these body scanners for a short time, frequencies etc.., I concluded that it would be entirely possible for a resourceful naughty person to fabricate and wear an under garment made from a special material which would appear to the scanner just like naked human flesh.
