It's weird because Hitler just screwed himself. He told him not to come back until Jodl is eliminated, but he was in the room to begin with. He cannot eliminate him because that would contradict with the fact that Monke can not leave the room to kill him because he already "arrived" without eliminating him, therfore he failed from the start.
