when iphone 4s came out in october samsung reduced galaxy s2 for $2 in some places and some places even free , ofc 2 year contract.

i think that is the exact same camera as in my nokia E5 qwerty! so camera is ho hum. that is why its an entry level phone. lumia 800 has better camera, for US users its lumia 900 LTE version. 900 has bigger screen too. they will also launch the lumia 910 with 12 MP camera. but that is leaked info / news on the net.

I was never the one to use a lot of apps, give me facebook, twitter and a super awesome, silky smooth, butter like performance, i am happy. Windows seem to live up to all 3! I am using Android and am not happy. Never happy with how it lags consistently. (yes i kill apps 361 times a day)

One of the things important for a review is how does the phone earpiece sounds around a noisy environment like in a car while driving, in a place full of people, etc. Old Nokia phones sounded great but this new smartphones from different manufacturers most have weak sound for listening, too much emphasis on data and sms stuff.

@vetkato1 radar is a little more expensive,not 50 bucks.and it has a 1 ghz processor,and cheaper lcd screen with poor visibility in daylight.this one has 1,4 ghz processor,and a ips lcd screen with clearblack from nokia.better signal quality and call quality also. it's a better phone overall,i like how the radar looks,but this one isn't bad either.a friend has it in black with a white backend and it's very elegant looking

in europe this phone costs 270 euros that's roughly 300 dollars.

I hate how everyone is getting on board with this contract stuff... people please! it's a freaking mobile phone! you're not supposed to treat it like a house, you should not pay every month for it, you're supposed to buy it and that's it, no contracts, you do whatever you want to it and that's it, if you can't afford you cant, I really don't see any pros on buying phones with a contract.

In America the operator deals are waaay more expensive than here in Europe, so the best way to market different carriers is to offer cheap phones on contract. And the phone costs 50$ on contract. We in Finland get something off the price when buying it on contract, so it's not stupid at all.

@HeHanLa in portugal too, but I just think that it's stupid to put a contract on a phone, sure you should be able to make a contract with the carrier if you want certain things and they should give you a discounted price on the phones, but it's stupid to market a phone with the price of the contract, it's just like marketing a laptop based on the price of the monthly fees of some loan that you can make to buy it, and when you make a review or video about it you should tell everyone both prices

@Goshirn359 True. I never see what are the unlocked prices in US when looking it from our point of view here in Europe. The carrier system is something at least I'm not familiar with - not sure if you've put more time in finding out what are the differences between different carriers. But speaking of the phone itself, it looks to be quite nice for it's price on contract. Unlocked it's about 350€, so it may not stand for itself as clearly as when on contract. Contract prices = very different.

Specs only really matter in android, honestly. Otherwise, just about all windows phones perform great. The only comparisons are the additional features in certain hardware(HTC's hub,..Nokia's map, and drive which looks as good as google navigation :-)). And whether they have a front facing camera and/or LTE. Personally, I'm waiting for a Nokia Windows phone(preferably modeled after the Lumia 800) with 32gb(or atleast 16gb), LTE, and a ffc.That will be the perfect windows phone for me.
