  • Yeah those little 4 bangers can rev fucken high the 22re engine from the toyota engines don't even redline and the rpms don't jump. I had a 92 pick up the motor had been built to 250hp fuck the engine was loud and I could push that shit to 120mph on fourth gear alone man I miss that truck fucken Hyundai had to total it damn fucken white boy fucked it up

  • @INSONIASXPOWER no ecu mate = limitless revving it depends on the cams when engine stalls and other mechanical parts. the 4a-ge series is rev happy... we are talking about at least 8000 for fun on std engine

  • This is my second acount on youtube and lecvr is old. I sell this car after 2 years ago like stock, and this setup not runing any more. But when was mine I running very good and dont have problems, so for every entusiast i can say GO GO GO CARBS

  • I dont have that car any more,but I can answer on some question. This was a first start of engine with carburetors, on stock distributor puted and lock on 36 degres. That was not apropriete afcourse bit I must heard sound of it.

    Preaty soon I was put megajolt comp with edis4 and cranck shaft sensor. That was final and i driving that car like that for one year. Rev limit was 8200.

    Tension belt was not tighten, that roumble coming from not apropriete fire ignition, that is misfire.

  • what's your rev limit? obviously with no ecu you have no limit but when does it stall?

    like 8700? 9000? maybe?

    i know of the auto tensioner but some people tend to overtighten it ''just to be sure'' you know!! and by watching the video cant exactly tell what's ''screaming''

  • @ae70gts Can't loosen the "timing belt", it has an auto tensioner. Noise your hearing is likely the alternator belt being too tight; that you can loosen.

  • what did you have to do to the ignition to switch to carbs? I am assuming you don't use a computer any more?

  • nice, are they flatslides? they must produce killer engine response, better than 1-4 intake but u probably lose torque down low for doing that no?

  • Cool engine man. Get rid of the fan and get electric fans. That a made a big difference on my Z.

  • @sanshin9 yeah they make a difference in power, but they are not quite as effecient with drawing air through the radiator. Great car!!

  • @lecvr My friend did the same 4AGE motor conversion to his AE86 but with twin 45 webbers. It caught on fire while driving it hard. We worked out the reason was the clutch fan was blowing heaps of air past the front carburetor and sucking fuel back out of it,soaking the finer filter,then it backfired and set the filter on fire and burnt through the fuel lines.Some bloke came running out of his house with a bucket of water and put the fire out.He ended changing to electric fans.Crazy shit.
