    Where it's made should be on the tag when you first bought it. (You need to know how to read a little kanji or chinese, because the label is in either forms.)

    Many yukatas are made in China now even though the company is technically Japanese. So some yukatas are higher in quality depending on how authentic the company wants it. I haven't seen the old hand dyed yukata cotton fabrics made into yukata sold for the masses in the areas close to me.
