That room, with all the bookcases, that APPEARS to have nothing in it has a secret area. You Flipendo the switch on the wall while standing on top of the rug, it takes you down a level, you find a chest (I forget what's in it exactly), and then you Flipendo another switch to get back up.

Yup when the book was published in the states it was called Sorcerer's Stone cos they thought it would sell more.
