@consenees yes, yesterday I got to test my new helmet in a "crash"... I had been jumping off some stairs in two levels and landed and ironically I crashed while on flat ground. I have done this one million times before, never anything happend.. then I hit this small stone with my front wheel, so I fell.. I hurt my right wrist and my left knee and scratched the helmet.. Didnt wear denease for this down town freeriding.. Today I wish I had :P

The fact of the matter is, even if a full face helmet offers more protection, if you get run over by a car, it's not going to make much difference. At least with a road helm, you still have complete vision. With the amount of looking around and checking road bikers do, especially in cities, a full face helm would only hinder visibility and increase the chances of an accident.
