My lil bro had 4 open heart surgeries when he was a baby... Um he had a heart attack or stroke when he was 3 but I was like 2 yrs old when that happent
The day before my sixth birthday i had to go to the hospital with a burst appendix. the last thing i remember is our priest reciting the prayer of the dead over me and being wheeled into the operation room. i woke up on my birthday, with tubes up my nose, and spent a week in the hospital. it was excruciating to poop, and i didnt eat anything that whole week, so i lost like 10 pounds, which for a 50 pound kid, is like a whole lot... i also had to reschedule my birthday party :(
I'm sorry to heard that Shane well my mom as everything wrong with her she as been in the hospital like all the time and I worry for my mom she hurt her back like 17 years ago and these people that as been with are trying to get her to work but they are stupid so yea I know what it is like :(
I had double jaw surgery. They broke both my jaws, and put a wire in it, then screwed it back together. It sucked, because for the next 8 weeks I wasn't allowed to eat hard foods. That meant no meat for 8 weeks, which was hard! And I was awake when they pulled the tube that was in my nose to my stomach, and it felt so gross. It's been like 9 months and I still can't feel my lips.
I had my tonsils removed in third grade and when i woke up and saw the EKG thing or whatever i was freaking out then my throat hurt like hell.
The in fifth grade a sort of 'friend' (she gives me rides places lol) got hers removed and she said her surgeons were 'better' and i was like "bitch are you six? I dont fucking care." but i didnt say that. I almost did. But, i need rides so i smiled and nodded.
Thank God I'm gonna be a nurse, because I am fascinated by medical stuff, and I'd be prepared if I gotta take care of someone if they had surgery as serious as yours

I had my wisdom teeth and some other teeth removed (about six) and I was really grossed out because like a couple days after, when I could finally go back to school, I started tasting something salty in my mouth... So I showed my mom, and she saw that it was kind of an orange mix of blood and pus. It was fucking disgusting and I wouldn't eat, like anything for about 5 days or so. XP
Wow Shane..I feel you man...though it's almost 3 years already (kind of late) but..I feel sorry for you when I saw those things when you stood up..I've been in the ER for Dengue fever..Yeah that shit really scared me to death cause just because of one mosquito bite could actually be fatal..Still gives the goosebumps :(
I had surgery on my jaw, the worst part was inhaling the sleepin inducin gas and I had this feeling like what if I woke up half way through the surgery and could feel everything that was happening.. 0_0. Luckily didnt happen but hated wakin up feelin sickish, drowsy and the pain after all the meds wear off was horrid.

i didnt actually have a surgery but i used to be like 85 pounds overweight. one summer i got really sick to my stomach. it got to the point where everything i ate, felt like my stomach was ripping open. i went through a lot of tests like 5 times blood tooken, ultrasounds, stomach scope. i spent an entire month in bed. lots of times in the er for pain. didnt work for almost 2 months. i ended up loosing 65 pounds in less than 3 months. all that and found out i have ibs and had H. Ive had 2 operations one for my tonsils that was planned but 3 years ago I had to have an emergency operation to have my apendix taken out. I have 3 scars on my stomace 2 are abou half an inch long the other one starts at my belly button and its about 2 and a half inches long. Sergery sucks but your glad once its done an your all healed and some scars r really coll to show off. Sorr for the really late coment

6 years ago I think I was eight and I ws climbing a tree and it broke one of my ribs and the rib poked a hole in one of my lungs I fell into a coma and I had to stay in the hospital for a year.

The reson I had to is because I was born with something called billateral club feet it's we're you feet are shaped like golf clubs. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Scoliosis,and after 6 months they told me I had to have surgery. On the day I was really nervous, I had to stay in hospital for just over a week (4 days laying down,which gave me bed sores.) and after 5 days when I was allowed to walk again, It was like learning to walk all over again. I had 2 drips in my back, and when they took them out it felt like I'd been shot! I also faint at the sight of blood. That was 4 months ago, I can't do any sports until May.

Well my brother had surgury on his left broken leg before he STARTED high school, and went to school on the first day as a fuckin' cripple. He had to walk through the senior hall, one senior yelled, "CRIPPLE COMING THROUGH!", and everyone actually went up against the walls to let him through. The doctors put two needles in his leg, and they're in his room right now. When they took the cast off, there was a skull candy sticker in it. The skin was all nasty. Lol, but gladly I haven't had any work.

6 years ago I got hit right above my eye with a golf ball ( accidentally ) It split open and you could see my brow bone, I got 25 stitches. And my eye was ok :) I was only 7. My mom said that on the way to the hospital I asked if we would be able to get the blood out of my shirt. I was a tough little girl.

I had Swimmer's Ear and Ear Infections in both ears when I was 5-8. ( Worst 3 years of my life). All this cause terrible pain in my ears and gross yellow stuff to come out of them. (not ear-wax). I had about 2 surgeries on both ears. Now there are practically walls in my ear right before my eardrum. The scariest thing about this was that I could have lost my hearing. When I was 3 (I'm 11) My family was visiting family in Puerto Rico and they two ( huge) dogs. So I went to pet the dogs and the second one I pet jumped up and bit my face. There was a LOT if blood and I had to drive to the hospital with my grandmother. When we were at the hospital they did not give me any medicine to make it numb. It hurt really bad, they had to strap they had to strap me down to the table. It is 8 years later and I remember every detail.

Right at the beginning of tenth grade, I was at tumbling practice for cheerleading. While doing a backhandspring I fell on my neck. I went to the doctor the next day and found a birth defect in which C1 and C2 of my neck never fused together. Their connection is what keeps your head from basically falling off. They said I was really lucky I wasn't paralyzed already. I ended up having to get spinal fusion. I wore a neckbrace for three months and was homeschooled. Now I'm all better :)

When i was 5 i missed most of senior kindergarten because i got flesh eating virus. since there is no cure, the only way to get rid of it is like cancer, you just have to keep taking the infected tissue away until there isn't any left. Though because i was so young i don't remember much, but i do remember staying up late being scared of the dark and hearing all the clicking and beeping of the machinery i was hooked up to. I got my wisdom teeth extracted-which is ten times worse than pulled-right before New Year's of 2010. It wasn't too bad-I got out of gym class for a few days because elevating my heart rate would make my stitches pop.
i got my tonsils out and when i woke up i couldnt breath, so they tried to put this breathing mask on me, but that made it worse. I couldnt breath and i couldnt talk, so i started pulling off the breathing mask
it was scary as fuck...i was only 10...but they rushed me out of the room and gave me some ice so i was fine :D and i probably already wrote this but get better shane...we love u!

when iwas 13 i broke my arm in the forearm area. someone tripped me as a joke in pe. anyway so both of the bones broke completly and my arm twisted arm and bent sideways. they had to put me on morphing and this sleeping stuff. so they could untwist my arm and icould see everything cuz my eyes stayed open! when i woke i had double vision for two or three hours and i threw up a lot. i got a purple cast btw. anyway it was horrible!

I had my wisdom teeth and some other teeth removed (about six) and I was really grossed out because like a couple days after, when I could finally go back to school, I started tasting something salty in my mouth... So I showed my mom, and she saw that it was kind of an orange mix of blood and pus. It was fucking disgusting and I wouldn't eat, like anything for about 5 days or so. XP

I had surgery on my jaw, the worst part was inhaling the sleepin inducin gas and I had this feeling like what if I woke up half way through the surgery and could feel everything that was happening.. 0_0. Luckily didnt happen but hated wakin up feelin sickish, drowsy and the pain after all the meds wear off was horrid.

i didnt actually have a surgery but i used to be like 85 pounds overweight. one summer i got really sick to my stomach. it got to the point where everything i ate, felt like my stomach was ripping open. i went through a lot of tests like 5 times blood tooken, ultrasounds, stomach scope. i spent an entire month in bed. lots of times in the er for pain. didnt work for almost 2 months. i ended up loosing 65 pounds in less than 3 months. all that and found out i have ibs and had H. Ive had 2 operations one for my tonsils that was planned but 3 years ago I had to have an emergency operation to have my apendix taken out. I have 3 scars on my stomace 2 are abou half an inch long the other one starts at my belly button and its about 2 and a half inches long. The reson I had to is because I was born with something called billateral club feet it's we're you feet are shaped like golf clubs. My 1st surgery was when i was 5 I had to have my appendix out in the middle of December. My last surgery was on my foot I had an extra bone and it pushed it's way to the top so they had to take it out by cutting through muscles and tendons it took about a year to recover with physical therapy for 3 times a week. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Scoliosis,and after 6 months they told me I had to have surgery. On the day I was really nervous, I had to stay in hospital for just over a week (4 days laying down,which gave me bed sores.) and after 5 days when I was allowed to walk again, It was like learning to walk all over again. I had 2 drips in my back, and when they took them out it felt like I'd been shot! I also faint at the sight of blood. That was 4 months ago, I can't do any sports until May.

Well my brother had surgury on his left broken leg before he STARTED high school, and went to school on the first day as a fuckin' cripple. He had to walk through the senior hall, one senior yelled, "CRIPPLE COMING THROUGH!", and everyone actually went up against the walls to let him through. The doctors put two needles in his leg, and they're in his room right now. When they took the cast off, there was a skull candy sticker in it. The skin was all nasty. Lol, but gladly I haven't had any work.

I'm 13 now but when i was 6, i had a spinal fusion cuz i had scoliosis. it wasn't bad they just put two rods on either side of my spine. then they told me that my hardware in my back was infected with two deadly infections. i had 9 more surgeries to clean it out. it was rly hard because i have Spinal Muscular Atrophy so i can't walk or move very well so everyone had to do everything for me i was in the hospital 4 8 months. i had those tubes in my sides. they took em out when i was awake I WAS 6

They (the doctors) said if I didn't have this done I would be stuck in a wheelchair and die before I turned 9. So need less to say I'm 24 and a dancer yes my back is bad but not horiable problem is its getting worse and it locks up alot. I had Swimmer's Ear and Ear Infections in both ears when I was 5-8. ( Worst 3 years of my life). All this cause terrible pain in my ears and gross yellow stuff to come out of them. (not ear-wax). I had about 2 surgeries on both ears. Now there are practically walls in my ear right before my eardrum. The scariest thing about this was that I could have lost my hearing. And I go swimming (which is sad to me because I love it) for about 2 of those years.

Also during that time I couldn't walk for about 2 months so I had to relearn how to walk. It was horrible. When I was 3 (I'm 11) My family was visiting family in Puerto Rico and they two ( huge) dogs. So I went to pet the dogs and the second one I pet jumped up and bit my face. There was a LOT if blood and I had to drive to the hospital with my grandmother. When we were at the hospital they did not give me any medicine to make it numb. Right at the beginning of tenth grade, I was at tumbling practice for cheerleading. While doing a backhandspring I fell on my neck. I went to the doctor the next day and found a birth defect in which C1 and C2 of my neck never fused together. Their connection is what keeps your head from basically falling off. They said I was really lucky I wasn't paralyzed already. I ended up having to get spinal fusion. I wore a neckbrace for three months and was homeschooled. Now I'm all better :)

It wasnt exactly surgery but i remember it so well, I was 3 years old and god knows wot was going through my head but i decided it would be fun to bend over and run around, it was not fun we had a radiator either side of our living room and i bashed my head on the corner of the radiator and all i remember after that was that my mum was screaming down the phone and then the ambulance came and people came in and gave me butterfly stitches, now i have a scar and when i wear glasses i look just like

august of last year, i had to have surgery to remove my appendix because i had acute appendicitis. and on june 7th of this year i had an emergency c-section because my daughter didnt have enough fluid inside the sack. she also had a hole in her left lung. it was a high risk pregnancy so me and her cudv died if there were any complications. she n i are both doing very well and she is a beautiful healthy baby girl who turns 4 months tomorrow. shane, im sending u an invite for her bday & baptismal.

I was 1 or 2 and i couldnt cry. I would scream but i had no tears. I had to go to the doctors and they had to do sugery on my tearducts. I didnt get any scars. Im 12 right now so it was a long time ago. I dont even remember it lol

When i was 5 i missed most of senior kindergarten because i got flesh eating virus. since there is no cure, the only way to get rid of it is like cancer, you just have to keep taking the infected tissue away until there isn't any left. Though because i was so young i don't remember much, but i do remember staying up late being scared of the dark and hearing all the clicking and beeping of the machinery i was hooked up to. I'm glad to know that you were able to pull through surgery too ;D

before getting surgery in the roof of my mouth because of an extra tooth i had, the nurse complimented me on my underwear.... O.o then when they gave me the sleep medicine i was all "loopy"

that really sucks shane, you're insanely brave cos if i went through that i don't think i would've been strong enough :/. i'm 14 years old and i have a 4cm x 2cm x 2cm gallstone inside of me. and on monday (in 4 days) i'm gonna have to get surgery to remove my entire gallbladder :l
but hey, if you could get through all of that with the tubes and stuff, it makes me feel so much better and stronger :)

awwwh i'm not alone thanks shane for making me NOT feel like such an out cast! i have pins and screws in both my feet to keep my feet from falling apart.(thats just one of 22 examples.) i know all the hospital visits arent fun. ive had over 23 surgeries myself and i'm not even 21 yet. i feel your pain.

I got my wisdom teeth extracted-which is ten times worse than pulled-right before New Year's of 2010. It wasn't too bad-I got out of gym class for a few days because elevating my heart rate would make my stitches pop.

i got my tonsils out and when i woke up i couldnt breath, so they tried to put this breathing mask on me, but that made it worse. I couldnt breath and i couldnt talk, so i started pulling off the breathing mask
it was scary as fuck...i was only 10...but they rushed me out of the room and gave me some ice so i was fine :D and i probably already wrote this but get better shane...we love u!

I had surgery on my tonsils and they put that sleep gas on me and it smelled like shit. I woke up like 4 hours later and I cant explain it. its like a deep sleep pretty much and I woke up hungry as fuck, so they gave me ice cream because I could only eat cold stuff and i couldnt eat anything other than like... sherbet. I woke up with this thing in my wrist and i couldnt walk for shit :P it was weird. i was doped up on some medicine so i was like...talking to myself. lol

I had re constructional bone sugary on my right ankle. But, because I can't have dairy my bone can't grow back properly so I have plastic in my foot :D

when iwas 13 i broke my arm in the forearm area. someone tripped me as a joke in pe. anyway so both of the bones broke completly and my arm twisted arm and bent sideways. they had to put me on morphing and this sleeping stuff. so they could untwist my arm and icould see everything cuz my eyes stayed open! when i woke i had double vision for two or three hours and i threw up a lot. i got a purple cast btw. anyway it was horrible!

Shane I know how you feel.. Had to get 10 stitches but I was their for a 8 week lookup.. I had a false alarm of cancer.. The shit they did to me was just fucked up... I feel your pain and I hope in some way you feel mine ;) .. Now that it's all done with, how are you feeling? See ya Shane!
