Oh wow does this bring back memories! I have not listened to this band in nearly 20 years. I saw them countless times here in Baton Rouge, LA, and every show was just as crazy and fun as depicted in this video. Thanks so much for posting.
Tragically, Mike has since fallen in with a rather rough crowd and holds company with the likes of Skerik, Stanton, Marco, Brad... was even spotted with A.B.

So much/little to say here. The chorus wrestled with my brain for like a year. It wasn't to be helped: it's a monster hook! But then you listen to the lyrics and the structure, and then you understand why nobody cares. I feel bad for the girl who displayed herself, almost without fail, to all those brainless masses all that time. She is a beautiful woman. A couple of years later, Mike Dillon was scrounging the bottom of the barrel for players, and they only sounded good when Mike sat at a kit.
this is not one of my favorite of their songs, so many other brilliant ones! it was meant to be silly. Kim & Mike equally displayed themselves & enjoyed it! & are you crazy? Mike later had GoGo, JJ, Sid & Zac Baird in the band...Mike still plays with GoGo & JJ in the GoGo Jungle, & is now playing with Les Claypool & Ani Difranco, among others. Zac plays with Korn.
@hennakim I'm glad to find out that Mike is still making music. I was always so impressed with his playing. I guess my comment was aimed at the Billy Goat lineup. Thanks for the update!
Many shows at one of the 10 Best Bars in the country. Ocean Mist, Matunick, Rhode Island. One night at the close of the show Mike lead the whole bar out the door and onto the beach with a percussion jam. The whole band and half the train of followers went for an impromptu swim. Always great shows with lots of intoxicants and sweat. You could drink all night and go home sober and exhausted.
I went to many BG shows in Houston. I was only 16 then but I do remember the lead singer asking an audience member if he could titty fcuk her and she allowed. I stood there thinking, did I just see that? Bought the album, loved it. Wish I still had it. Oh, to be young again...
Does anyone know where i could get Bush Roaming Mammals? Been looking for years and have had no luck. Had it on tape back in the day but I wore it out.
check amazon .. like 40 some odd copies used starting at 1 cent,... have you really been looking for years?? ... I just found it in 2 seconds... not trying to be smart ... just sayin'...
i played in a band in carbondale, il. called "POOR KING" we opened up for the "sexy goat" a few times. always a party. great band, even with the lights out! inside (hangar 9) joke! pieces, dan
I played in a band that opened for Billy Goat in 1993. It was the most bizarre show I've ever seen. By the time it was over with 2 guys in the band were butt naked and the girl had her shirt ripped off by the singer (she seemed a little peeved at this development, but who knows). In addition, 4 or 5 guys in the audiences were dancing around naked. Unfortunately the spectacle overshadowed the music, so I don't remember if I liked it or not.
LOVED this band back in the day. The singer used to pour chocolate syrup all over himself after yelling "ANYONE WANT A SUNDAY?" and then dive in the crowd. What a helluva a time we had at their shows!
ADDENDUM: I guess I was actually number three because Matt Chaimberlin filled in for a while, and then they had some bald-headed dude whose name I can't remember. It's a shame the band got pegged with this tune because it had MUCH better songs than this. It was fun to play like the first 10 times, and then it was like "I now know how Slash feels everytime he has to fire up the opening riff to 'Sweet Child'". Ugh...
I let this dude check the cd out way back yrs ago and i never got the return. Found out he was on heroin and got a bump on his forhead we later referred to as the THIRD EYE. Anywayz, Im so glad to see this around! Thought I lost it forever.
Great to see this video online. This was one of the best shows that I have seen live. It was crazy, crowd surfing, slam dancing, battle scars for the next week. I saw them in the early 90s at the bottleneck in Lawrence, KS.
This video is a good representation of what it was like to attend one of their live shows; insane amounts of food products strewn on and off stage. Lots of sweaty grunge folk having a good time.
i loved the tour van, spray paint galore w/"hippie freaks" painted on the side,
those were the days

They used to play Columbus, OH (Staches) all the time. I know the lead singer had some nice bands Hairy Apes BMX and the Malachi Brothers.

I was the unfortunate bastard to come up bshind Earl Harvin and take over the drum chair. But you know what?
I kicked that band's history so hard, I was the only one who got a great review in the Dallas 'Whatever the Fuck' newspaper.
