our polar ice caps are melting, theres no doubt...but so are mars'! i dont see hairspray bottles and cars on mars. why is mars' ice caps melting at a faster rate than ours?

Well, we're doing a pretty good job at "slowing plant life" already.
It's called deforrestation.
Combine that with an increased ammount of nitrogen- and carbon-based gasses in the atmosphere and disaster can not be denied.
