You can let your camera directly feed into your computer, just like with a webcam. I don't know which editing software you're using at the moment, but I have Sony Vegas and it works perfectly. Ah, Bryony. Personally I don't care either way. But you might want to think about telling your subscribers what you're doing in California. Instead of using cheap, vulgar, manipulation like the "law of secrets" to bump up the views on your videos. You know it's a very crude trick to get people to watch your vids in the hope they will find out what you're up to. Of course by making fewer videos you're using the "law

You can let your camera directly feed into your computer, just like with a webcam. I don't know which editing software you're using at the moment, but I have Sony Vegas and it works perfectly. Put your camera in normal record mode (like you're filming) and start capturing on your computer. Sorry, thought it might help since you're dreading the whole vlogging thing at the moment.
