  • omg i feel the same way about mac counters vs. stores... i like the set up of the mac store but the people that work there are soooo rude and i dont know what they think they are, i have only had one good experience there, i usually just go to the store to look around and swatch products, then i walk over to the counter in bay or w.e and buy it from there. I know its going to the same company but i refuse to buy anything from that store again!

  • @MsKellyko A lot of people front for jobs, but if you're working in customer service you should at least be pleasant. lol Yeah it was really bugging me. I film in front of a mirror so I can make sure everything makes it in the camera frame and I didn't realize how off it looked until I got in front of the mirror. Sorry if me fidgeting with it bothered you!

  • The same thing happens to me with my legs! They are always lighter than the rest of me... sooo frustrating. Maybe if all you get from Clinique is the toner, you could get it online and avoid the craziness altogether! I swear they are constantly PMSing in there and can be so fake! Boycott!! JK (maybe) :P

  • That is an option, but I hate online shopping. I'm not going to inconvenience myself because they're so nasty.

  • OH and the Sephora near my place the MUA's there are HORRIBLE! Every single time I go into a Sephora every MUA looks me up and down. Their always hovering over me like i'm going to steal something. AND when I'm looking for someone to help me they walk right pass me and ask another person who actually looks like their going ot buy something if they need help.

  • @dropdeadchewy Hmm I don't really go to Sephora too much since it's a little out of the way for me, but that sucks!

  • How HORRIBLE! You should've gotten their names and write a complaint to Clinique or the mall about bad customer service is. I totally would've done that. Thankfully the MAC store I go to has really good customer service, not so much the counter their a bit too pushy. My mom really likes Clinique and the lady that helped her was really nice. Although some can be a bit TOO pushy.

  • @dropdeadchewy The sad thing is, I think the older lady that gave me the bad customer service was the counter manager, which really sucks. I'm glad the people who were helping your mom were nice though.

  • CLINIQUE and mac both have horrible service there is no one to monitor them its all about sales quota's , sears and bay needs to work on this majorly !

  • @sweetzrani I definitely agree there should be some kind of supervisor around to monitor them. I know some of the girls jump from the Clinique and Estee Lauder counters which just gives bad service all around.

  • I know what you mean! if there's bad customer service I won't ever buy from the company ever again, lol, We are the Customers, we have permission to be picky, if I don't like something I know how to return it and Not waste my money:)

  • @QueenLoreal I don't know about not buying from the company, but I wouldn't buy from that store. Like I said I have an amazing experience at the MAC counter, but not the store. I don't know what would happen if I would have to swear off MAC lol

  • i agree cust. serv. can make or break a customer....i'd never go to clinique after knowing all this.....there's nothing wrong in letting them know what your budget is.....no one wants to go over board.

    i've had bad experience at MAC store too....the girls are really mean there too.....the times i go with my makeup on, they are willing to attend, else they don't care to ask what i need...thats the reason I usually buy online and sometimes end up getting wrong shades since the swatches r horrible

  • @chibu74 There were 3 MA's at a a Department store counter.(NOT freestanding store) The 20 year old was the only one who would wait on anyone in jeans.

    When I was ready to buy the other 2 wanted to wait on me. I said I'll wait (for the 20 year old) to get done with the other customer. She waited one me first.

    20 year old got 3 customers in 1/2 hour. Other 2 MA's ZERO.

  • @PeachesVA I'm glad that I'm not the only one who's had such bad customer service experiences! Honestly, I would have waited for the 20 year old too. I hate snotty people.

  • @chibu74 When I have to go to the places where they don't have good service I just asked to be left alone, look at what I want and that's it. You shouldn't let that deter you from going to the store!

  • I totally understand when you talk about good customer service vs bad customer service. Good customer service does build customer loyality to a company...But you'll be suprise to know that both MAC and Clinique are owned by Estee Lauder.

  • @fsk1123 Oh I'm aware they're both owned by Estee Lauder, but Clinique and MAC are two different labels almost, so in most cases they're viewed as separate. The employees deliver the customer service, and since I've had such different experience with both labels, I wouldn't judge Estee Lauder overall based on my experiences with these two.

  • I know exactly what u are talking about. Sometimes they say u can return it to make a comission...... Ugr.... You should totally go online and write a review for her. Not to be mean but they have no right to make you feel bad :( I used to keep products that did not work 4 me bc o that but not anymore!

  • @alejandraytilio Yeah, I know of a few people that do that. But like I said in the video, if you tell me that I can return it and I don't like it, you better believe I will cause ruckus until I get my money back.

  • what i do at the store and they are really rude to them once they check he out or i return the idem i am really rude to them. then if they have the sheets that you can say how there service was i rate them low

  • @Beth999901 I don't know about being rude back, that would kind of feel like sinking to their level you know? I mean I know at the time it's hard, but it usually feels good to 'kill them with kindness' kinda thing. If they're nasty the next time I pick up toner, I'll definitely look into writing them a review.

  • the people at my mac counter are pretty mean! haha and since i'm younger they kind of skip over me and never pay attention to me! great video though! thanks for letting us know!

  • @MakeupJunki3 yeah i usually just stand up at the counter until someone comes to help me! haha! i haven't had much experience with clinique costumer service, but from your video they sound pretty horrible. no person deserves to be laughed at! thanks for responding by the way! it means alot :)

  • @madi11121 Aww, I know it can be hard to get their attention sometimes, but don't be shy! They should be happy to help you -- you're paying their wages! And no worries for answering, I try to answer all my comments but sometimes I get busy and don't get a chance to, or Youtube doesn't let me know in my box that I've received a new comment so I don't know until much later. Sorry if I haven't before!

  • @Sammieelovesu I generally find lush customer service to be one of two things - either really good or really pushy. I hate it when they get pushy and try to get me to buy products I'm not interested in at all. Usually I just tell them I'd like some time alone to look around and they back off. But otherwise, everyone's very friendly.
