Forget the vulgar Barrets, with their ridiculously vented muzzle breaks, their boxy casing, and their excessive portrayal in popular culture. This is a real anti-materiel rifle, a soldier's gun for punching holes in important things, from very far away, not some sort of haphazard large-bore sniper-rifle that's more often sold to the nouveau riche. Yes I am trying to play up the pretentious and arrogant Frenchmen stereotypes, because it's one of my diluted heritages, eng, ire, germ, belg...
I'm just guessing that the inventors of this particular rifle are fans of the Thracian goddess Hecate. Fitting name for such a deadly weapon. I've always stuck mostly with assault rifles in the past, but I'd love to fire one of these someday.
there is a concoction of russian, swedish, latvian, finnish, dutch, german, british and australian people. in this vid theres mostly russian language :P
THE MAN DO STRUCK ON THE BOLT MECHANISM IN AN UPWARD DIRECTION TO PUT MUCH MORE IMPACT ON IT SO TO AVOID "WRESTLING" IT UP. ITS LIKE CHANGING TIRE, U STRUCK ON THE RACHET TO GIVE MORE IMPACT SO TO LOOSEN UP THE LUG NUTS EASIER. In essence this is the same thing. I still think the individual should go to managua like frank zappa states ,,he or she could go unnoticed in such a place...
im good at provoking,,but hey lets be friends i'll bury my hatchet, and say this rifle kicks ASS, ok ?!
have you ever tried striking upwards on a ratchet sitting on a lug nut that's rusted shut, in lying position behind the tire.. it's not that easy.
you have at most about about 6 inches from the ground to the bolt. trust me the bolt was sticking like robert downey Jr. to a whiskey bottle on a sunday afternoon.
well, ok then angst and anger, yeah thats true, i do admit it. BUT HEY, i am the owner of firearms myself and know it can be hard to operate, but U HAVE TO AGREE THAT THIS MAN HELPING, DO NOT USE FORCE WHEN OPERATING AS U SUGGEST, ITS ALL ABOUT TECHNIQUE . if the shooter man or woman do not understand what this helper is doing, they should CHANGE PLACE. but i do unstand it might be an youngster or woman lying there just for the fun of it, thats ustandable.
sorry to say it but wtf, DOES HE/HER REALLY NEED HELP WITH THE BOLT AFTER EACH ROUND BEING FIRED, UNBELIVEABLE STUPIDITY, thats the easiest OF operationS that even children should manage, U STUPID IDIOT!
the explanation to the bolt operation is that they hadn't cleaned the rifle properly so the bolt operation was super hard.. i tried it myself and it was near impossible to budge from lying position. i kid you not. so trust me when i say that if you had shot it you would have had problems with that rifle too.
like i said, it's not stupidity if the user knows hows to do it. it was just simpler to let the instructor help with the bolting :)
i've shot other .50 BMG's and the bolt on this one was unbelievable.. like i said in previous post, they had probably not cleaned it properly so you have a lot of dirt, grime and gunpowder residue buildup.. cleaning your rifle is A and O, but apparently not in the baltics :P
PGM Hecate II is more effective than the Barret m95 and M107 and M82, but its a bolt action sniper...but i am french and i love it^^ So the PGM ultima (7.62mm) is more effective than the M40 and M24, and these guns are describe as the best Precision Rifle for the moment....Vive la France, Vive PGM et Vive le Famas, le vin et la baguette^^ see you neighbours of the Earth
The PGM Hecate II needs lots of up keep so do most 50. rifles because when they shoot dirt and other bits of shit get stuck in side cause a big gun has big gaps that can get jammed with dust.
try pulling the handle yourself on a PGM :P .. somehow the receive sucks on all PGM rifles unless you take care of them very properly (not me shooting this one btw) but i tried pulling the receiver myself, and it was dead stuck i tell you :) never had this problem with the AW.50 or the Barrett.

@GMG455 They take all their gun ideas from real ones, excluding energy weapons and some melee weapons.

@CssXcronic It's a lot better to be interested in a weapon from fallout then from call of duty.

pgm hecate is cool, btw why does swedish sound a bit like russian O.o
maybe the kick from this rifle is very soft because its a bolt action and its parts are tighter than in a semi-auto 50 BMG

totally unnecessary btw.
