And as much as I don't like to admit it Mariah Carey gave a very decent and subtle performance. Everyone was good. Lenny K did a good turn as well. Really good casting.

Very true. Maybe because it's not as easy to play Comedy as people think, timing etc...but yes Mo'Nique was excellent, really disappeared into and became the role. I was so pleasantly surprised. And as much as I don't like to admit it Mariah Carey gave a very decent and subtle performance. Everyone was good. Lenny K did a good turn as well. Really good casting.

Mo'Nique definitely deserved the Golden Globe award! Her portrayal of an abusive mother was played with character, style and sincerity. She is funny and serious. She can multiple roles without blinking an eye. THAT is a true actress. Way to go girl! I hope u get the Oscar as well.
