Im not sure, but since it works both in the NES and SNES version it will probably work on the GBA version as well.

wht didnt the chain chomp try to attack you when it broke loose and will this happen in the NES version

I dunno.
Chain chomp will go straigt until he hits a wall or something that makes him turn. And yes this works in the NES version as well.
I never knew that till now i had this game on the NES but now im into the emulators i will have to try that thanks for posting
