I see someone posted another video how to beat Magni, but with a ritualist. Of course its way easier with a ritualist, which is why I posted how to do it with an assassin. I know a lot of sins and warriors struggle with Magni. I picked the skills with the lowest energy on purpose so all you need is an energy boosting focus and weapon.

it works better with Signet of Spirits, Vamp, Blood song, Pain, Agony, painful bond, Boon of creation.

Of course. But the point was to provide a build that any class could run with great ease to bypass this quest. Even a warrior or assassin can run this build and beat it.

That's not the point. The only way it works is when you place them exactly as shown in the video, which is why I made the video in the first place. You have to place them on the doorstep before the door closes. Also the timing of painful bond is important, especially against Magni himself.

i liked the music. it really fit the scene. i am a primary rit, its my fav class. i suck at pvp, but i am ok at pve, i cant farm or anything, but i beat the tourny. it took a while to get my build, but i dont have WDLST yet, so i used mighty was voruzen (+30 engy, +armor) pain, bloodsong, vamiprism, dissonence, painful bond, leech signet (for stopping bear form or purge signet) and one last skill, i dont remeber. maybe shadowsong. and i won easy...

Brutal weapon + staff/wand also works well, especially since you usually meet the req. Does more damage than a non-req melee.

Confirmed to still work JUST like this, as of June 28th 2008 with a Dervish primary.

I was fortunate enough to have a Totem Axe as well AND the offhand focus 'Shelboh's Gaze' (req 8 Blood Magic) which also gives +30 health, a slight advantage over your Plague Focus (which admittedly, looks way cooler...)

Another weapon skill I would highly recommend in replacement of Brutal Weapon would be Nightmare Weapon. You wind up stealing 42 health with each hit, so it heals you just in case.

Too bad your are screwed if you get the spirit spammer against you, as he will just sit his ass at his end of the ring out of your spirits' range.

You can easily beat him as well by using Summon Spirits to instantly move your spirits into range of him. Also, if you are just patient you'll eventually manage to lure him forward.

I heard a few players used the same build, but without the elite. The rewards of the Tournament are certainly worth it: 2 heroes, the Bison Crown, the Bison Cup, Zehtuka's Horn and Zo's Journal (requirement for the Mini Black Moa).

you're not right reaper, in this vid the build hit mhenlo, and the player killed him with that build, argo casts mystic reg 2 late for defending him against the spirits.

If this build hits razah or argo, or even mhenlo its screwed because theres no enchantment removal

Mhenlo died faster than anyone, which is why you see my sin yawning right after beating him. Argo is equally easy. Razah is the only problem, but with Summon Spirits that is easily solved. Personally I have yet to see Razah spawn, but I'm told others have been less fortunate.

Folks, the whole point of this video was to help people who are clueless about beating Magni, and give them an easy way to complete it. It's not about skills, challenge or playing an assassin. It's the easy and cowardly way, and I wanted to share it with less experienced players.

I think using the spirit build for any character is getting lame. Such an easy and cheap way to win. I beat Bison with my ranger with no spirits with some fun, and I am happy I don't need to rely on spirits.

Hehe it is kind of funny but I did touch ranger XD. My elite was Grenth's Balance. Actually to kill Magni you ONLY need Grenth's balance. Later after a few more times killing Magni I found that if you run around, get hit once, Grenth, run again, you can defeat Magni without hitting once.

Thanks for sharing. I was using a similar build with little success, the Earthbind really helps as does Painful Bond. I switched Brutal Wpn for Vital Wpn for some extra health just in case too. Laying out the spirits in a line like you did is really important, all in one spot gets them killed faster :)

Try and avoid conflict with Bison altogether. You can see in the video that he almost went for me, but I managed to evade him and get him focussed on the spirits again. If he kills a few spirits, you can cast them again while they are keeping him busy. It is important that you keep atleast Shadowsong or Wanderlust up. Both prevent him from killing too many other spirits.

When fighting him make sure to spread out the spirits. If he destroyes any, recast them, and avoid a direct confrontation. Just run away, and if you keep him focussed on the spirits it shouldn't be any problem. In the video I nearly screwed up fighting Magni, so I dodge him and swing back to the spirits.

Don't forget to boost your energy pool with a focus item. In the video I use a +12+15 soul reaping focus. I picked all the cheapest damage spirits for this build, so even an assassin should not run out of energy this way.

Have fun ^^. You'll have that crown in no time. The only problem is Razah, but he rarely spawns. Razah is one of the few who does not rush forward, and spams spirits too. Any other opponent is toast with this build.

No, but it would work. As you can see in the video I easily boosted my assassin energy pool. Any warrior or paragon could do the same. ( assassins have about an equally low energy pool as warriors do )
