This arangement is too low for her voice. She's use to singing at least 2 octives higher. She should not have changed the melody. I have heard better from her. I use to be a 1st soprano, not anymore. I'm more of a second alto. I could never hit the notes that she could sing.

Yikes. she is singing a certain style with the wrong part of her voice. After the first 60 seconds it gets monotonous and tiring. She needs to develop a chest voice before she can sing the way she's trying to here. OR she should change the song to suit her voice...

Give Charlotte a break. It is very difficult to transition from classical to pop. But it can be done and I do believe she can eventually do it.

it does not mean that her voice really sucks...she is still great but her voice doesn't fit in the pop way...she's more on the classics...there is a very big river between classical and pop...yeah...but she still has a nice voice...although she was not able to hit some notes properly..

I agree!!! That was weak. That's what singing pop does to a classical voice though. That last note was one of the worst I've ever heard her sing. I wonder why she decided to sing pop?

With her voice, she can sing any style really well. Nothing wrong with a little variety. But I hope she still does classical. Can you imagine Lady Gaga or Beyonce trying to sing opera? They can't do it--their voices are limited. Charlotte has a rare gift. We want to hear her classical talent also--very much.

@deltamusic With her voice, she can t sing classical and opera. She s a good singer of Piano-bar.
This voice is limited for singing the great Opera arias (not like Maria callas Montserat Caballe etc....) but people have in general nothing to compared. When she sing operas or classical tunes or great standarts, it s just piano-bar, not too bad.. I prefere really Lady Gaga and Beyonce because they have strong personality not just pretty voice of Barbie.

@deltamusic Well, maybe singers like Kesha or Britney Spears would have been better examples, cause both Beyonce and Lady Gaga have pretty good voices, but I agree with you though. Charlotte has a very rare talent!

@deltamusic Lady Gaga was actually classically trained in opera. Surprisingly a lot of artists have been, like John Legen and Alicia Keys. :]

I thought this was good; it's no different than when musicians change around their song when they play them live. Plus, the accompanying part doesn' always have to sound the same, it's p[rob supposed to create a broader range of sound.

Listen to Eva Cassidy's version. I personally think it is the best. She really has a beautiful voice. I agree with michaelflorida48 that changes aren't always good. I hate this version although Charlotte could do a great job hitting the high notes.

Because the song is too well known and all people know well every note. So she tried to sing differently so we can't expect where she's going to go. Most people like unpredictable thing so she offers it. so do many singers. is this answered ur question?
