  • Beautiful video, thanks

  • is awesome but... will it blend? :)

  • @scagish aw i was gonna say that >_<

  • Comment removed

  • @AgentCROCODILE Lol ikr? ;)

  • i can get one of the first kindsthey made of this for 30 bucks should i do it ? (not toch screen)

  • BUT! can it make coffee?

  • @Mardal No, but it has a coffee holder on the side.

  • i have a cf-29, there isnt much of a difference... the most visible difference is the pens in the handle. theyre all great laptops though.

  • can you use it underwater lol

  • la ce iti foloseste portabilul

  • what is for ? is someone going to irag to fight the taliban ? when you are at home this is SLOOOOOWLY machine and spend a fortune for nothing mean waste the money . Or you can just wait that in one day someone will step on it or put it into the washing machine and THATS IS - you are happy because you have strong machine while another people have extra quick , light and good configuration laptops .

  • @gwerb

I have one (a CF-30, not cf-31), and it works great. It's only downside is it's weight, the performance is, well, military grade, I have no problem playing WoW on high graphics and other games a decent laptop should be able to play. No, this is not a slow tough computer, but more a indestructible semi-powerhouse.

  • hello guys? i have a problem with my cf-30 i forget my pasword and i dont know what to do ,some body can help me? please

  • What password? The boot pass or the Windows pass? There are different solutions.

  • The weakest part of the whole thing is the lid of the LCD.

If you hop up and down in the middle it WILL crack.

A new touchscreen costs over $1K from the dealer.

But I really do like this machine.

It's the Hummer of laptops for sure even though it could use some better re-enforcements.

Just don't expect to actually abuse it too much!

Magnesium is strong but will crack when it flexes or takes a strike.

I wonder if making it plastic with more rubber edging and corners would make more sense.

  • @bucktheusa magnesium is 20x stronger than plastic... plastic will crack open even with little abuse...

  • Don't fall for the hype.

    Magnesium is weak and brittle.

Slightly thicker plastic will outperform it any day.

Injection molded plastic cases are tough.

If they made the internals small like pocket computers it could weigh a few pounds and be even more resistant to drops.

The only thing tough about a toughbook is parting with $3K to own one!

  • doesn't water get in through speakers?

  • No, everything is waterproof.

  • 0:58... erm sorry for the dumb question, but what is that? that metal box thingy at 0.58?

  • It's the hard disk.

  • oh thanks a lot. So it's actually able to be removed so easily?

  • Yes, the whole system is very versatile, although waterproof.

  • salut.auzi cam cat ai dat pe el ;de cand l-am vazut in ziar am i gotta have that:D

  • you look scared to jump on it dont be the computor going to survive

  • woh wtf....YOU CAN DROP LAPTOPS NOW COOL

  • i have the toughbook cf-19 and the thing that sucks is that it doesnt have the finger touchscreen

  • I got the CF-28 for 120$ in this cheap laptop store and good condition cuz its tough XD

  • nice

    :)

  • No. Can you?

  • LOL nice response

  • what about a gunshot, can it survive ?

  • There was a toughbook which absorbed a bullet (it saved a soldier's life) but I'm unsure if it still worked.

  • Cand ii murdar poti sal speli cu furtunu....

  • Sau să faci pişu pe el.

  • ...and the Price ???

  • Google is your friend.

  • ^_^

    Tank You.. :)

  • $3500USD

  • O.o

  • how muchdid you buy this for?

  • I don't have it. Please read the comments.

  • what a music?

  • Yeah, what a music, man!

  • How about setting fire on it??

  • what a brilliant idea! Please, do that and post the video!

  • wsnds?!

  • judllwer!

  • cylh vklhyfijcxnhvk <hfjyxf

  • fain. eu am un Cf 52...semirugged. Isi face treaba , ce sa zic, hardcore nu altceva

  • drop a brick on it

  • it will still survive.

  • please do that and post the video!

  • I've seen normal laptops survive being run over by a car. xD

  • I know. You now use them as sheets of paper, don't you?

  • I wasn't being sarcastic.

  • Sorry, just a joke.

  • What is the software called he's using at 1:10?? I've never seen anything like that

  • That's an online digital TV software called Joost.

  • i bet that weighs a ton. XD

  • Yes, it is heavy, like a toolbox.

  • hey! now i can piss on my roommate's pricey laptop and not risk a lawsuit!

  • If you think that's a mature gesture, sure!

  • fain... e al tau?

  • Nu, l-am avut în probe cîteva zile.

  • this laptop is truly ideal for a military...nice laptop by the way.

  • was that a built in webcam?

  • No, there is no webcam in this model.

  • i have a cf-18

  • Did you buy it yourself? What do you use it for?

  • Now thats how things should be built these days!

  • do they have those with Vista Ultimate installed?

  • Maybe, but why don't you install it yourself?

  • well if it had it already i would be sure it can run it perfectly fine

  • You're right, but how can you be sure that Vista won't let you down in the battlefield?

  • well if it had the ability to play Crysis then i would have no problem.i could bring it school.

  • Well, if it's only for Crysis, I think Toughbook is very expensive (around 5.000 USD).

  • its tough! i could hit one of my classmates with it. or i could just get myself geforce 9800

  • The second option seems fair. You can use a free rock to hit a classmate.

  • using a laptop is way more cool! and the rock would be an instant kill. too risky

  • I know! Offer the classmate a Toughbook with Vista on it. If the weight will not kill him or her, using Vista surely will do.

  • You forgot to immerse it in water

  • No, I didn't, watch the clip closely.

  • Yeah, you did.

Immersion is completely covering something in a fluid. You simply poured some water on the keyboard and screen.

Having said that, I own the same computer. It's not designed to be *immersed* in fluids. Panasonic also doesn't make this claim.

  • Of course, why would you do that? But you shouldn't go back in the house quickly if it starts raining.

  • where are its speakers?and how many are there?

  • Two stereo speakers under the handle.

  • ok thanks

  • Lookin at mine, I only see a single speaker. Are you *sure* that you have two?

  • One place for two small speakers, yes.

  • I see a lot of videos show pouring water only on the keyboard and LCD surfaces.. how about at the back where there's is holes for releasing heat? And would it survive if it is soaked into a bucket of water? lol

  • There are no holes in the back, as you can see in the video. There is no fan, the ventilation is done through the case made of a special alloy. That's why there is no noise.

  • I see, thanks man.. I'm quite interested in this tough thing.

  • do you think this would survive a kick in the LCD screen?

  • no man i think not. Evn if tht LCD is made of plexyglass it will either SELF DESTTRUCT or rip th hinges (definately not possible tho)

  • Of course it would resist, that't the point of the rough notebooks. I did that and tests available online show that it can resist car crashes.

  • Holy shit! Car crashes?!

  • Yeah, but not trucks, just city cars.

  • Yup, and that's not the toughest of them!

  • What's the toughest of them?

  • Indeed a very tough laptop
