  • I just got EQ for the 1st time(13 years late)... i canceled my WoW subscription! i love how raw the game feels and the spells feel amazing when you cast them, teamwork is a must! The way you have to talk to NPCs to get quests just sends you into the game world! I feel like im really there. I like how you can only use a few spells at a time it makes you really think before you run into battle. the population may be low but there is always someone around to party up with. 9/10!

  • I don't know why you guys all miss the old days, all you have to do is play again, the more people playing again the more it feels like the old days.

Playing Classic EQ again, screw EQ II

  • Look up EZ Surver Files on google! its everquest free private surver and its good so try it its fun if u tried it and liked it subcribe plz

  • Just startet with EQ again xD

  • this video almost made me cry

that was the best memories of gaming age.

  • @kpz74628 Yeah, me too... Almost no day goes by without me thinking about this game, and all the people I knew.. and miss, some dead some just moved on.. it is really weird how attached you can get to people you never met in real life, and that tells me something about computer games and that is, They are NOT antisocial as many people claim. /Glorindar Stargazer - Jinaman - Chimani, Checkotay, Macao.. some of my chars. So to former friends, feel free to contact me via Youtube. /wave

  • keep coming back to this vid. Not really for the eq now, but for the music. Haunting

  • Miss the old days with this game.. ahh Citadel of anguish, ^-^ Loved this game.

  • it was the best game i have ever played wow and all the other crap is just time killers Zullon sek FTW :-)

  • ZOMG COOKIE!!! <--- Raggulbok here, spent a little time in NDR myself before I retired from EQ =) Me Hightin and Mijas have been on WoW and then Rift since, nothing holds a flame to EQ at all, finally we all just called it quits with MMO's altogether =P

  • virgin memories

  • ORC HIGHWAY TRAINS!!! :D

  • Yup. NDR, TB, and a ton more. All had some good folks. Actually have to admit. I'm playin again on Fippy DarkPaw TLP server. level 24 Human druid again. hahaha. There are actually a few TB folks on there! =D

  • NDR was a good guild I enjoyed my time in the guild

  • Whoa.. Reading the comments and I see names I haven't seen in FOREVER.. I truely miss this game. Actually, it's not so much the game as it was all of the awesome people I "hung out with" in it. Like times sitting and BS'ing on the docks in BB or in PoK.

BTW I was on Torv as well "Brashon". Was in DA and a few other guilds. Last time I logged in I think my toon was in Seeds of Legends. LOL.

  • Felt a little nostalgic, this video fit the bill. Thanks :)

  • Sexy b was the best cleric on the server )

    Starcow approves ~

  • Project 1999! It's the 2nd coming! lol.

  • POK isnt memories.. how about selling in EC tunnel - and GM's announcing your level 50 across the server - now thats some memories!

  • @cdnerds I didn't know you could take screen shots in the game until a raid in plane of fear XD

And for a long time, I couldn't really see much of the game anyways cause most of the screen was taken up by a big spell book when I med ...I used to think it was annoying, but now I kinda miss it. Cause we would just sit around and chat till the blue bar is filled up again. I'm not a big fan of vent .

  • @TorvCookie

man i used to love fear raids ... these days eq is just been fubar'd totally with making it being marginally gapped between raiders and non raiders its not even funny no more.... heh and if your not that much of a fan of vent ... use skype ... more easy and can support more people than vent can ...

  • My lowbie still has a KEI from before they made the level requirement. Woot

  • @SoCaLStylZ88 hehehe if u logged on, some kids are probably gonna point at your buff bar and look around in ?_? face

  • Cookiekiller Lovescookies?

Pretty good, but I knew one Treesmasha Toothpickmaker

  • @parkesc21 haha I was Cookiekiller Isondiet for a while too. Your friend's name sounds like a druid ...

  • thanks for the vid

  • @jlt08fab glad you like it =)

  • Oh wow they don't make em like they used to... =) good vid.

  • @brbZoning ty, glad you like it =)

  • I will alaways remmber EQ and miss it . It was by far the best online game that Ive play'ed . This video bring's back memories of the fun I had on my Bard and shaman.Good video

    Bertoxx sever. Feronszon .Nickles

  • @mayhamsquirrel glad my clip brought you flash backs of good memories =D

  • for the old schoolers... ORC HIGHWAY!!!! SAND GIANTS!!!!... EQ was the best, a place of open and friendly people looking out for one another... it's scary how WoW has killed that in the here and now, but fond memories of EQ remain none the less :)

    Bramblefoot Puppypaws :)

  • @MacrossNut hehe I think the demographic of the player base now a days is alot different from when EQ first came out. You can't expect a rebellious / anti social kid from early teens to behave the same as someone that's much more mature.

ps your name makes me wonder what race your toon was

  • i just started playing on zek again last week

  • @kungfoolery have fun !

  • Everyone come play classic EQ again, check out project 1999

You can download the client at thepiratebay . org/torrent/3894156/EverQuest_Titanium

  • played on torv. Buddie of mine Isotop Freespirit

  • @GastroGreen that last name sound familiar ,hehe

  • The feeling rolls on. Nice Tune and memories!

  • @Zolzimar glad you enjoyed the clip =)

  • wow i used to miss days of school to play this game, now how could i play the game in present day?

  • @mikey420100 I don't think it would be the same experience . But if you want to try, I think Sony is still running the servers and you can probably download the game through their website . good luck !

  • you should check out project1999, a classic free evrquest server with a high population. Currently at kunark expansion will go up to velious.

  • This is by far the best video on Youtube

  • @MrTendax you are too kind ^_^ glad you enjoyed the clip !

  • I miss hanging out in the PoP zones

  • If you Enjoyed Everquest the way use to be then google Project1999

    It is an amazing server!

  • Google a server called project1999 if you enjoyed Everquest the way it was back in the day!

  • nice

  • Haha Torv! I remember Xandre. I blade when Headbonker was leading Blades of Wrath. Camping Stormfeather for 33 1/2 hrs, soloing Traknon were some of my favorite times. Things like your first time as a guild taking down Emp in Ssra (after months of farming bane weapons) and down AoW were great heart pounding fun!

Kei when the spell first came out was the best thing ever!

  • @Nert43 o yes I remember KEI all too well ! Love those MGBs hehe speaking of Blades of Wrath, I see a " Blades of Wrath" guild on my rift server too =D

  • Cookie I'm very sad panda right now. Surprised you have no screenshots of Tolopan or Shukke :(. I'm so mad that I had to stop playing right after MMM a week before crystallos. I miss CT alot that was an awesome guild anyways cheers!

    Train to zone in,

    Tolopan of (Crimson Tempest)

  • @labien hehe I think I had the most fun in the pre-raidding times. You guys were great but raiding was taking up way too much of my time ( haven't really touched pve raiding stuff after eq ever since ! )

  • I miss this game so much :|, i played it again recently, and wanted to commit suicide at how they destroyed it. now mmos are all about soloing and pvp and griefing everyone, wow sucks :|

  • @yinjara I know how you feel, I tried the same thing. It was almost like having a nightmare, only it was real. every zone was empty, gfay, ec, pok had 50 players on a "good" night.. I grouped with an npc henchmen and stayed in two zones, leveling my char up to 47 all by lonely self. oh, and when I finally died at lv 47, i asked general chat "what level do we start losing our equipment." and got a big "LOL" in return.. the risk of losing your corpse is gone. i had to quit after that.

  • @yinjara @yinjara well when players seek instant gratification, the studios are going to deliver just that. Not many people are willing to sit down and read through all the lore behind a quest and try to figure out a puzzle themselves anymore. internet has all the answers ! XD hehe

  • @yinjara @yinjara well when players seek instant gratification, the studios are going to deliver just that. Not many people are willing to sit down and read through all the lore behind a quest and try to figure out a puzzle themselves anymore. internet has all the answers ! XD

  • Beautiful speech :') lol torvcookie i know exactly what u mean i started playing when i was 8 and im 18 now i was a horrible lil shit tbh but playing the game its so wierd but it actually calmed me down and changed me int something better.. i still play it to this day Nameless server.all my old friends baruddar - froggyeye -bardmuzic- spiritwing i look for them even now even tho i KNOW they dont play never met them. bonded with them so much have and always will have a special place in my heart

  • @uranthony I started playing when I was 8 also and just graduated high school :) I also have old friends on the Tribunal server who I know left but I still look for them. I hope you get to catch one of your old friends on, keep spamming that /who!

  • @uranthony glad you are having fun and made good friends =)

  • Remember going to BestBuy & buying this game, opening it, and finding a big fabric map of the land? I miss this game so much.

  • @000FoxSnake000 hehe I just might still have it somewhere...

  • Awsome video. Just got back into eq on progression. Its just like old days.

  • @smtpoke33 thank you, glad you enjoyed the clip =) and have fun !

  • @TorvCookie

hello thanks for this video this remenber lot of good things i think i had meet you in game from karana server ? was an ( beautifull) erudit mage named yasuo

  • Man I haven't heard the name Everquest in forever!! I remember playing when I was like 5 or 6 with my brothers they would make me farm platinum for them :( but all in all I played till I was like 12-13 I loved this game wish some of these games these days could amount to about 10% of this game. I tried Project 1999 liked it abit till I died lost my corpse that always makes me sad haha but I will keep giving project 1999 a go in the future!

  • @Drizzleyaheard ....I don't know how I feel about your brothers making u farm plat for them....but then again I'd probably never understand guys' brotherly love anyways, hehe. Glad you had fun in the game tho =)

  • The day I left EQ " Sniff sniff" I went to every place that held a special memory for me in the game, I traveled all over and came to my final resting place for all time....Sleepers Tomb. I FD'd my Monk at the feet of The Master of the Guard and logged.

  • @lgwelsh1 I did the same thing as you.... after running around & taking screenshots, camped my toon out on the island where she got her epic... It almost felt like breaking up with someone ><

  • @lgwelsh1 I'd be lying if I said your goodbye gesture to EQ didn't make me tear up a little. I did something similar when I left. Every time we raided Plane of Fear, I as called out by Cazic-Thule. Every...time...sometimes multiple times during the raid. Two days before my game time ran out, I ran to the entrance of Plane of Fear. Just outside the entrance, I sat and ALT+F4'd. Then spent the next hour reviewing screenshots of getting the pally epic, other's epics, etc. Was very sad.

  • People have gotten worse. Theres no way there will ever be a game like this ever again. And to that, i say BULLSHIT! Be nicer peoplez :D

  • @Marasg89 There are still alot of nice people around in mmos, it just takes time and... pure luck to filter them out from the others. It used to be a mutral understanding if u joined a dungeon you are staying till it's done, and if u were leaving you'd find a replacement. Now, I'm happy if ppl just gave advanced notice when they had to log/leave rather than just slash q. sniff

  • Quite a feeling being in Sleepers Tomb, fighting&seeing comrades through ice after all the time w/them in so many fights, battling to the bottom of that frigid place.I was there when they killed the Sleeper-feigned death down to last wraith-trick is to get up when they cast dmg shield, but aggro killed me&I coudn't make it to see the killing of Kerafyrm, came close.Woulda been there if I didn't have to PK by then;I should have left my corpse in Dragon Necropolis,a fitting end for that monk of mine.

  • :' ( I miss the old days in everquest so much. i was only around the age of 7 and played till i was 13 but even so everquest greatly impacted my life. Ive tried so many other mmos but nothing was as great as EverQuest was.I wish i was older when it first came out because i would of been able to cherish it more. just now started playing project 1999 and brings back such great memories. LONG LIVE EVERQUEST !

  • The fact that it didn't exist shows that people were wholehearted at the time about it, it really was a magical time. Like TorvCookie said, some don't have memories like these, but we keep them. I don't know why I think that is such a great thing, perhaps people were more down to earth about it, in touch with a new kind of dimension..but it was a magical time, especially on Rallos Zek. Could almost make a hall of statues for the PK's on that server, some of them.

  • @yayeababy I was on Rallos Zek as well... I miss it alot, and always find myself comparing other games to it. I played a Dark Elf name Hexica, a woodelf Natharia, and an erudite Delethin. Remember sitting meditating and hearing footsteps run by you... stop.. and back up.. then the message "Hexica is looking at your equipmen" ... you knew it was time to fight or die

  • @Leonin247 Haha yea well I wouldn't give people a chance, I was a pretty ruthless PK who just PK'ed anyone, even w/out looking at their gear-it was an "Infamy kill count" kind of thing for me, & then tear em apart in RPing shouts if they opposed lol-there's definitely a fine line between smack talk & any villainous RP. I remember Hexica very vaguely, somewhere in Nektulos. Probably best for now I go nowhere near MMO's; hard to find anything that compares to the same magic. Maybe TERA, who knows.

  • I loved EQ, great many good time. But..one beautiful thing is that the word "Troll" never existed when this game first came out. There was an uncomparable group of people that were apart of its release-people didn't look down upon Roleplayers, no matter the server back then, they were respected - it takes some creativity to work at that. The ppl were just really awesome back then, I can't put my finger on it why;compared to the massive population that play now, but I guess times change ppl dont.

  • @yayeababy I do agree with you, player base of mmos are definitely different .I guess ppl were mroe open minded bak then, you could play EQ the way YOU want to , and not worrying about being labled a " hardcore raider without a life" or a " perv that role plays for cyber" etc etc.

  • Your video brought back a rush of memories for me. I was on Torv as well and I remember seeing you around from time to time. I played from 2000 - 2007 before the game became unbearable for me. I have a lot of memories and remember all the good times and bad. Thank you for this posting.

    Waeluien - Wood Elf Ranger

  • @afrcol hi ya, glad you enjoyed the clip =) you probably saw me during my famous late night mgb parties, haha

  • cool video....I'm considering making a comeback just to check it out a bit, maybe check out the progression servers.

I rocked Fennin Ro and Rallos Zek from 99-'02. Since then, I haven't been able to play any MMO more than about 6 months.

  • @TSMPimpDaddyPain hehe I think Warhammer was the only game I played for over a year since quitting eq , maybe I'm just growing out of it .

  • @TorvCookie yeah it's certainly possible, it's hard to casually play an MMO, life gets busy and your hobbies can change.

Warhammer, WoW, Age of Conan, Vanguard, Aion....played them all but not long because either my friends quit playing, weren't enough people playing the game, too buggy/unfinished game content, too many PvP restrictions, etc.

  • @TSMPimpDaddyPain hehe I think if you are out there looking for " The Next So&So" game, you will never find it.

I'm giving every new game a shot for now. ( trying rift atm just because the characters look cuter than warhammer.hehe)

  • @TorvCookie Yeah, certainly not holding my breath on it anymore....if it comes, it comes. Giving Rift a shot now too, on Snarebrush.

I think they need to consolidate some servers though, no reason to have 60 servers with low/medium population when you could have 30 or 40 at high to full.

  • @TorvCookie Yeah true, no reason to get your hopes up if "the next ......" is never going to come. We're trying Rift now too, what server are you on?

  • @TSMPimpDaddyPain check your PM =)

  • Im right there with you Torvcookie. I even left Norrath for a while but found my way back recently and its worked out better than I could have imagined.

  • @luthiencor whoa...good for you >< I haven't touched it since 08 hehehe

  • video is nice, song is stupid. I would MUCH rather hear some EQ game music instead.

  • I've just blown the dust off my Necro, I can't stay away. Not when there are gn0mes to punt and dancing girls in the Blind Fish for my please...Neriak awaits :)

  • I had some pretty unique experiences.

I remember this french bard i grouped with who tried to tank lvl 40 mobs and i got a laugh out of it as he died tanking.

    Nice guy though,.

Thats one thing:The game works best when you don't take the game too seriously.

I knew people who were too obsessive and took the game too seriously or were just plain mean and it ruined the game for me.

  • @piromaniac9999 haha I know what you mean. Now to think about it I had more fun in the " family guilds" , jumpping off of different rocks trying to see which one would kill my toon etc. After joinning raidding guild, it gradually escalated into an obligation, sometimes it felt like I was working a 2nd job .... that's why I haven't joined a raidding guild since then in any other games .

  • I feel the same way a lot of people do. The experience I had with everquest was definintely unique. I've tried countless mmo's since EQ and just can't find one that feels the same. I enjoyed the difficulty of the game, enjoyed the generosity experienced players extended to new players. EQ has changed, and there aren't games out there that I've found that compare to the old EQ, so I leave EQ as a memory, where it belongs =)

    Anaximenes / Miridian / Elbereth / Penpahg

    -Fennin Ro

    (Retired)

  • @afryecapecod In a way I think the penalties ( death penalties, coins /bags weigh you down etc etc ) made EQ an adventure where u actually have to take responsibilities of what you do ; some of the other mmos I have played are fun games too, but they are just games and don't make me feel as if I was " living a different life in a different world ".

  • cookie my toon was bluegills a cleric and i retired and became the toon named blueballa ... my husband was zenlikeme . and i dont know how to reply any other way but here so drop m a line !

  • @bluegills30 /drop you a line =)

  • i may play final fantasy 11 now,but ill never forget everquests in its prime.never played a game like it.

  • @MrXboxfiend me too, haven't played another game as much as I did with EQ. Maybe we are just growing out of it.

  • I remember playing EverQuest a very long time ago but I never got into it. I remember just being taken aback because at the time it was very difficult and confusing. I really felt hopeless playing it. One thing that I remember from EverQuest stuck with me for all this time though. I was walking around in Qeynos, down on my luck and having a hard time. And then out of no where a tiny gnome comes up to me and gives me a bag and some platinum coins and said "Good luck". It really stuck with me.

  • @Sunderland4745 haha I had similar experience, some froggi in commonlands gave me a bag of gear when I was lost and running away from red con mobs. I kept those gear till quitting, There were definitely alot of nice people in that game, I think the player base back then was a little different from now adays.

  • OMG cookie where have u been ! u need to contact me asap ... i jsut recently came back to everquest i missed it so much

  • @bluegills30 hi hi, I don't recall your youtube name , hehe who were you in game pls

  • That brings back memories of Torvonnilous. What a great server back in the day!

  • @masnip yes, alot of helpful and polite players on the server,

  • Still love your tribute Cookie, still brings back so many memories for me, played from 1998 to 2005 on Sayren server, retired my darkelf enchantress at 72nd lvl when I finally quite. Ran her back to Nectulos and camped out for the final time. Still the best damn game ever made IMO.

  • @Phaffner1 /pat pat. must be an emotional momment when u camped out for the last time.

  • wow, i never played this game, but I've had the same experiences with WoW. Your description made me sad and happy at the same time :(. :D

  • @JonTronShow hehe

  • Such a wonderful part of my life, Im always kicking myself in the ass for not saving pictures/videos of such good times!

  • @lmos26 it's bette rto live the momment than worrying about taking screenshots anyways. I had the time to take those screenshots cause while my clr was casting her 10 secs cast time complete heal in the rot chain, I have nothing to do but to look around. haha

  • This video brought back so many memories. I played for about 4 years on cazic thule a 48 Shadow Knight named Valmothat never hit the cap in all the time playing. I didn't have much desire to. I only made one really good friend in all my time playing till she had to stop playing. Although I never leveled my SK much I did make many chars and level them to 25 getting on during the same time each day and leveling with people I had met on previous days till they outleveled such good fun

  • @wallywally04 ya most people just grind xp till they hit the max lvl and forget to enjoy the journey getting there. glad u had fun tho

  • Google for project1999 if you wanna play true classic EQ again, up to velious! Kunark will be released soon, and the server is VERY populated!

  • Attention all current and former EQ players. SoE is opening a brand new time locked progression server on Feb 15th. If you love EQ like the rest of us, come join us! Server opens with only Kunark enabled. Come one, come all!

  • You can relive everquest for free now, project1999 set up a server set in classic mode, pre kunark. hundreds online. take a look. project1999 in a search engine

  • I remember those days playing. I'm female so I played a female dark elf wizard. For the life of me can't remember what server anymore. I thought it started with a Z. I sue to have a guild though. Good times way back then!

  • @TheMysticsoul77 glad u had fun !

  • Just thought i would say great video. Im Maximous From the prexus server. u just handed me some old memories...

    Thank you///

  • @Fatta76 thank you =) games comes and go, but sometimes I still have " eq dreams" 3 years after quitting, haha

  • This game is so much better than Wow. Blizzard have gotten away with murder.

  • @danielkirk1 u mean... it WAS much better then WoW...

  • @danielkirk1 The game has more enjoyable moments:yes but the people are far better in wow.

I was on the european server cause i live in spain in wow and there were far less trolls and asshats than in the antonius bayle server in everquest.

Seriously, far too many asshats on that server.

Of course,i heard that certain servers in wow contain really bad public, but i wasn't there so i can't say

Everquest still holds some very memorable emotions for me that stay with me forever though.

  • @piromaniac9999 usually the servers with most high end guilds are a little less friendly than others; Role playing servers have the most accomendating and genuine player base imo. But it seems like alot of ppl see the term " role playing" and think of cybering... but can't I just be a skinny pewy girl pretending to be a 7 feet tall muscular dude in shinny armor anymore?

  • @TorvCookie It sony's fault this happened, same as why jagex sucks:

The difference:Everquest is far too concentrated on loot and not enough on groups.

If most of the loot was shit like in the old days and killing a dragon was some sort of fun event that everyone can enjoy and not take seriously, then the game becomes a lot more fun.

But if your ultimate goal is to get loot, its not going to be as fun,and far too many people took it too seriously.

Part of the materialistism came from pop and up.

  • @TorvCookie Another thing that happened that ruined everquest:platsellers.

I hate plat sellers because it raises the prices of everything.

Eq in the end became a greed fest:They should have renamed everquest greedquest.

Another fault, was that some of the instances were hard to get people for and you had loot you needed or wanted, like:spells or gear.

In the end,i could never get a group for hard mode in dodh, because nobody wanted it.

  • EQ will always be king. I played from 99-05. I played a Monk from 00 on and was a puller for my guild. AA's really ruind the game. Impossible to go back now. Can't compete with 200 aa's to someone who has 3k. I play Wow now its not perfect and lacks the real sense of danger that EQ use to have back in the day (but no longer does), I mean you could actually lose your corpse and gear in pof or hate. But wow is at least semi-balanced and you can solo, which for me these days with a family is best.

  • @slamminsammy35 eq was called " time sink" for a good reason haha I think it's those painful corpse runs etc that made me appreciate and enjoy the experience in game more than I did after the game was watered down.

  • very nice video. I too played everquest for like 4 year. 01-05. Sadly moved on and now playing WoW. but this video brings back so many memories.

  • @undeadrazor thank you =) I haven't found a game as alluring to me as eq once was. I tried wow too, but just couldn't get into it. then there were guild war, warhammer , aion snf now rift. but the experience just doesn't feel the same anymore. I guess first mmo is like first love, the experience only happen once , haha

  • sad that you no longer log on to the world of Norrath but if you plan to return be sure to go to Xegony server and look me up I will welcome you back with open arms hon and will get you set up with gear and cash and help you progress in the New House of Thule and help you with AA skills and hit level 90.

Torvollonis Level 86 Warrior Xegony Server Blades of Dawn Guild

  • @LordZacknafien hehe thank you for the offer, that's very kind of you. /cheer

  • @TorvCookie Hey hun how have you been , good i hope . alot has changed in EQ and if you do come back i be thier on the Xegony server, maybe we can group up with some of my sisters in Shield of Loyalty.LOL one wacky guild more like a family then just a guild. Me and my RL hubby are the Guild leaders. Will hope to see you if you do come back , look me up sis, Mejestic HUGS

  • @Mejestic415 your name sound familier hehe. Thank you for the offer, if I did play eq again will shoot you a tell ^_^

  • Name of the song?

    Thank you.

  • @Marl82be " Tears" is the name of the song used in the video, it's a revised version of some olf Italian folk song =) ( so I was told )

  • @Marl82be song is called "tears", sang by "Chi Yu" or " Chi Yi". it's a revised version of an old Italian folk song ( so I was told )

  • Remember kids Everquest has been around longer than 11 years. Beta was fun no spammers, no lamers. and Hell levels! You see I stayed 42 for 10 years (on and off play and no desire to level.) Then I come back in 2010 and there is no need for ports anymore once you learn where all the books are. I used to wolf form Oasis all day in 2K. I sit at the docks and shout from time to time Wolf Form at the docks. 100+ wolves in the zone laying waste it was epic. New players asked if there was an event on.

  • Hey man i know exactly how u feel. Even tough i never played EQ i played GW and it had the same impact on me. Even now after 2 years or so i feel sad when i remember the good oll times...quitted GW because of school. Funny thing that feeling of nostalgy.

  • Wow this brings back SO many memories...I played only played EQ for about a year...From Nov. 2003, to Dec 2004, but this game affected me more than any of the others I played (WoW, EQ2, WAR, Aion to name a few). I played on the Vazaelle, and the RP server (Firiona Vie I think). Such good times...Thanks so much for this video and the other one. BTW you are a very talented artist :)

  • @axle00 hehehe thank you, glad you liked my video and artworks =)

  • Wow the memories of my old days on Eq just came rushing back....good times on the tunare /eci server..../cry..

  • @papajos83 /pat pat don't cry for what's gone , but smile for the fact you have those fond memories while many others don't and probably never will.

  • @TorvCookie Cookie, I remember you from Everquest, after Torvon merged with Fennin Ro. I was Jnais, vah shir Shaman/Larenea, Barbarian Bersekrer from TMO/Blades of Wrath/Darkstar Alliance. I recently quit (2 years ago, but it feels like just yesterday) and honestly this brought tears to my eyes. I played EQ from the release of Shadows of Luclin to the release of the Seeds of Destruction. Thank you for this, it brought back memories that i will not soon forget.

  • @ryby2012 hi ya, your name does sound familier =) glad you enjoy the clip !

  • @TorvCookie It's totally true, I just played it long time ago with a RL friend and till now all those memories, good and bad, still touch me deep inside. Met so many nice people that taught me about true friendship.

  • song?

  • Great vid and beautiful song choice. Thanks for the memories. I played on the Raithe server, so I don't believe we ever crossed paths, but both of us seem to have had the fortune of playing on a couple of the most lively servers for the game.

  • Great video... made me feel sad because I miss the old days when i played EQ. Really great memories. : )

  • NDR was a good guild I enjoyed my time there I think it was like 2003-04 before I went back to BoW, I stumbled onto this video lol glad it exists was a good trip down memory lane.

  • Your characters name looks really familiar, I was on Karana then split to Terris Thule. If your who i think you might be remember a War named Bakaris or a Cleric named Deneir?

  • @Rastel888 eh don't think I'm the person you were looking for sir ><

  • I have such great memories of this game, Back when it took 60 people to raid naggy and the corpse would disappear in like 2mins heh, I remember almost losing every item i had in PoF when a pick up raid fell apart, This game gave meaning to the word "Grief" Wouldnt trade for anything though. Great game, It paved the way IMO for First person MMOs.

  • I love this game but I am afraid of buying all the expansions. I had every single AA and I was so close to getting epic 2.0:P But I quit.

  • Best game ever! I would still be playing it if it didn't take over my life and make me obsess about it. This game to me is like drugs to a recovering addict. I still think about it years later and am tempted by in constantly to install it and play it. It really does take a lot of talking down to not play again. AHHH I WANT TO PLAY

  • Awesome, I played this way back and I remember feeling it was actually like being in another world, have not felt like that ever since with another game.

  • Iim an ex EQ player and i almost cried when i watched this

  • Three years ago was the first time I saw this video. I miss EQ so much, I stuck to playing it even after DODH came out and it started to go downhill. Then finally I gave up, had RL things creep up on me and couldn't juggle it anymore. But it was fine, all of my old friends, all the great times we had, they just can't be re-encapsulated. The first two years of playing EQ were the best for me, and the many friends I knew and lost have meant a lot to me, even if it was just a game.

  • Wow, this is insane. I clicked on this video and just though it was another video until I saw the name Cookiekiller. I remember being in OOTS and NDR with you, those were great times, loved the game back then! My character name was Zeclume if that rings a bell. Very nice video, makes me want to play EQ again haha

  • @porkchop520x haha hi Zac, I remember all the oots kids =D Good times.

Once in PoHate, I was sitting down to med, and got yelled at by Sslitha or Yearnnin: " get up ! you gonna agro the mobs through the wall !" for some reason I actually got up from the chair irl too, haha

  • @TorvCookie haha, it was such a great guild. Yearnnin and Sslitha were great. I remember Azzira and her hubby Smakkinu from NDR, such great times. And I specifically remember the Coirnav raid where we couldn't down him after like 4 or 5 tries, and some of us dyed our armor pink lol

  • Watching this makes me want to reactivate just to see the world with my own eyes again. But alas, it would be as hard to do that as it was to leave.

    /bow

  • What server were you on?

  • @JDHotShot wierd...Im on my account but its showing my husband as poster....Was ment to be posted by kelseysmyangel.

  • ive played wow for 5 years, RPGs since i was a kid, i travel around the world and compete professionally in martial arts and save lives to earn money when i am not doing that. few things in my life as Everquest has. I dare not call it a game, nothing that has come out before or sense has even come close to the depth of this game. graphics matter as much as a book cover.

  • Wow those were the days....i wish i had kept screen shots also. Of all the games i've played since eq....i've always just been looking for eq. Yep once in a life time. Now i just don't play anything, i finally figured out i wasn't gonna find eq. Lost a girlfriend and a couple jobs but those were good time :)

  • Games like this only come out once in a life time......long live eq!!

  • Know how you feel..It's the same with me and Warcraft.Started out to just play a game ,wound up making good friends and having good times with them. I miss the ones who have stopped playing, and know one day I will stop too. But the memories will last on.
