  • Nice shot of the ol SD40. I gotta say, kinda creeped me out for a moment...had a flash back from the movie Run Away Train!!! Was almost ready to see Jon Voight standing on the roof!!

  • Is CN anywhere near Prince Rupert yet? I guess that is where intermodal, coal and grain usually is.

  • Awesome video! i love that paint scheme, & have a few GP9's on my layout like that. BTW, I've got a video up of an ex-CN sargent striped M-420W hauling flatcars & hoppers through town. Maine Eastern owns it now, & they kept the old paint job on it.

  • me too! Let me guess you hate GE's and are more favored in EMD's or MLW's, right?

  • NBAisman, Well,,, I wouldn't say I hate GE's, but they probably aren't as "beefy" as they should be as far as motive power goes. LOL. Alcos are cool too. MLW? Eh, they're OK I suppose, since they're in the Alco family.

  • awesome footage, god I miss those

  • that sucks that CN is retiring thier sd40s cuz i really liked seeing the minstead of the dash 9s

  • NICE SD40 OF CN

  • I think CN started using it in the 1973.

  • When to when was the zebra stripe scheme in use, and how many units are still in it? Nice video.

  • Mostly GP9's and SD50's and SD60's have that stripe scheme. They are petering out.
