come on people your both right you need torque to be able to turn the tires and you need wheel speed to clean the out a lifted truck with big tires will generaly have the same power as a stock truck because the gear them higher to compensate for the wheel speed

Djhebertchevy-If your not aware torque is what spins your tires its not all about RPMs if you gear it right anything will spin the tires fast at low rpms torque is what makes your tires break loose and spin that's why diesels make great mudders

@browninghunter17 about ur other comment, fords are pretty good mud trucks, but most chevys and gmcs, and even toyotas and nissans make great mud trucks, just look at some videos of mudding from youtuber digdirt99...hes got an old toyota with a 4 barrel carb and a 305 small block with 70oz of NOS...its a badass mudtruck...hes also got a 1950 ford panel truck by the name of betty boop lmao

Ford engines run front distributors so when you fly in the mud sometimes more often then say a rear dist. motor you can get a misfire or stall from the water.

you guys just need to put diesels in those rigs. you guys would have enough torque to turn any tires you wanted. old mechanical turbo diesels are tough as nails. and can power anything you put on them.
