  • 2003 liberty hit a pothole since then rear window keeps going down but i can hear the motor,do i need a reg ?

  • @hp11208 Sadly, yes. Or, you could just replace the regulator mount, you can find them for under $50.00 on eBay.

  • is this a 2007 .. because that what i need please reply where can i find a cheap regulator

  • @harmony454 The piece in this video is for a 2006-2007 Jeep Liberty. However, before you buy one, make sure to remove the door panel and look at the part. The reason for this is that if the part has been replaced before, chances are it has been replaced with the older style (02-05), and so has the glass. You may look out for the following: Does the plastic clip have a nipple that clips into a hole on the bottom of glass, or does the glass have a black metal clip at the bottom? Hope that helps.

  • @harmony454 I have the regulators in stock. I also carry the plastic window mount that usually breaks. You may reach me at (915) 253-4138, for a free quote.

  • @jeeplibertymaster what you think about the metal mount

  • @alitou001 I think with all the weight of the glass and friction of the weatherstrips, something's gotta give, and if it's not the window plate, what will it be?

  • @jeeplibertymaster do u sale only the window mount

  • is this a 2007 .. because that what i need please reply

  • Finally sat down and with the help of your vid, fixed up my right rear regulator! I'm one happy LADY and thanks to YouTube, I knew I could tackle this project by myself! Thanks again... It all works great and I even swapped out that cheap plastic plate for a metal one! The money I saved is going towards my vacation fund! :-*

  • @remizart Who said you ladies need a man to fix your stuff? Congratulations on the window repair!

  • will this work for the back right passenger window as well?

  • @Lsturbo801 Yes. This technique will work for all the windows in a Liberty. However, the part is not the same. I have a second video in this channel that you can refer to, which teaches you how to replace the rear window mount, but with a different technique that many find easier. Thanks for your reply, and good luck with that window.

  • great video, this was my first time I ever did something to my car and I made it...thank you so much

  • @wikingo11 Easy as uno, dos, tres. Congrats!

  • @regerror Thanks for your feedback!

  • Great video, quick question...............Will a new regulator work on a replacement window? Driver's side window was replaced after a break-in and I was told a new regulator will not work. Thanks

  • @Busted1712 If your Liberty was manufactured before 03/06, you've got nothing to worry about. But even if it was produced after 03/06 I wouldn't worry too much, since the glass company that replaced the glass didn't replace the regulator (at least I don't think so--it would have cost an arm and a leg); they only replaced the glass, so the regulator is the same. If you're not sure, remove the panel and look inside. Feel free to call me (915-253-4138) for further assistance.

  • To start this is a great video! On my jeep the plastic casing for the snake has cracked in half and when trying to put window down does not perform correctly. It separates and does not put the force onto the window to move it. Is it possible to tape the plastic together? and if I was to replace what would I need to buy and what it costs?

  • @wsuplayer Thanks for your inquiry! Seems that you have a rare, but real situation with your regulator. What you need to do is check whether the white sheath is broken at least one inch before reaching the motor housing, or, before reaching the top pulley. If so, you might be in luck. I'll give you an unprofessional, yet effective remedy. Use epoxy glue, a piece (2 inches) of 1/2" hose and two hose clamps to bond the sheath back together. I wish I had a picture to show you. Hope that helps.

  • thanks for posting this video, it helped me get a good idea on what i have to do to fix my window. this will be my first time doing any work on my jeep alone. thanks again and this video really help.

  • @52pickup52 Glad the vid helps!

  • Do you know anything about the fenders? i have a a 2004 liberty and i hit a pole :/ the whole fender on the drivers side completely came off. I just wanna make sure i buy the right parts to replace it

  • @ItsSteffUhKnee I'm sorry, I can only help with window issues. Try CERTIFIT, they carry body parts at unbelievably low prices. Hope that helps.

  • Great video helped out slot thanks

  • @THEBAKER3369 Anytime!

  • Hi,

Am so glad to see your video & I went to eBay in search of 2003 clip for both front windows ( driver & passenger) ... Do you have any available? Mine both went out this week...

  • @diducwhatisaw I do, but they're not listed on my eBay account. They are $45.00 each plus $ 5.00 for shipping. I can also combine the shipping cost for $ 7.00 if you order both. Call me at (915) 253-4138, and I'll take your order through phone.

  • Do you happen to have the plastic clip window holder for the rear passenger side window? I have a 2003 Liberty.

  • @jmbravo79 Thanks for your inquiry. I do have the item you're looking for. You may purchase it by calling (915) 253-4138. The cost is $43.99 plus $5.00 for shipping anywhere in continental U.S. The installation process for the rear window mount is in my other video.

  • Thank You for your tutorial- My sister has a '06 and every window regulator has crapped out.I think Jeep should have a recall on this. But the A/C took a dump at only 50k and cost $2000.00 to repair

  • thanks for sharing. the only thing I can add, is where the rivot was removed, you can install a small sheet metal screw (or rerivot) where the old rivot was - just to ensure a tight hold with the bend tabs. I should have my repair upload in a few days, if I have the time to do it.

  • hey wher did you bought the plastic what page? and how much does it cost?

  • @alexsiten I have them, starting at $45.00. Call (915) 253-4138.

  • HEY MAN WHERE DID YOU BOUGHT THAT PLASTIC OR HOW IS CALLED?

I WILL THANK YOU A LOT IF YOU HELP! ILL CONTINUE LOOKING HERE IN THE POST. SORRY FOR THE MAYUS, MY KEWBOARD DOESNT WORK CUZ A VIRUS

  • Another happy customer. I purchased the drivers side rear piece for sale by jeeplibertymaster. Works perfect! I hate working on vehicles and I didn't think this install was hard at all. Great video!

  • @xhardwarex : ) Glad to help!

  • thanks for the fast delivery on the part... installation went perfect without a hitch ! ! i used the method described on your other video which involved opening the bracket. thanks again*

  • @blueknott No sweat. Thanks for buying. Glad vid helps!

  • Hello JeepLibertyMaster!

This JUST happened to me. Basically, I found my rear passenger window about an inch down today. When I operated the window control, I could hear the motor grinding and spinning, but the window wouldn't move. I can lower and raise the window with my hand.

The question is, do you think something is broke, or something is lose? If something is broke, what is the user-repair cost and time? Thanks so much man!

  • @FendersRule this equation is unequivocal: an inch down + motor grinding + lower and raise with hand = broken window mount. Don't go spending 100s. You can fix it yourself for $50.00 (shipping included), and it should take you no longer than 40 minutes :-) Let me know how I can help. P.S. Check out my other video for a different technique to the same end.

  • Good video.

I sell the metal replacement parts for the Liberty at tkoautoparts dotcom

  • Great DIY video. It took me almost 15 minutes trying to figure out how to unclip the power connection attached to the motor before you posted this. Now I have to do the rear driver's side. I hope it's pretty much the same.

  • @email4rudy Hey, no problem. I'm glad the vid helps. By the way, all the window motors have the same connection; so do most Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler. Good luck!

  • Thank You exactly the infromation i needed.

  • How much does it cost to repair each window?

  • @matt22225555 log into eBay and in the search window type, 320658648016; that is the number to one of my items. It will take you to the front driver window mount for 06-07 Liberty. Then, click on my user name on the right: dw01341gbyppg, which will show you my account. Scroll down and you will see all my available items. Hope that helps, if not, call me, I'll help you over the phone.

  • This happened to my wife's '06 Jeep Liberty on the left rear; the dealership wanted

$398 to do the job. I got online & found this video that proved to be a lifesaver.

It saved us $350. The video is very easy to follow and Eddie was there to help me

when I called him on the phone. Can't say enough good things about him and

this video. We'll certainly look to him again if we encounter another problem

    with another window.

  • @matt22225555 The answer to your first question is yes; sometimes the spiral belt inside the regulator will come out so far that it will obstruct the door latch mechanism, causing it to get stuck. What you need to do is remove the panel and carefully pull the belt out from the door latch. As far as your second question, there are several people selling these parts on eBay (including me). So I would shop around and buy one from whom you think is your best bet. I hope this video will help you save

  • thanks for posting. What about the rivet you cut off? Did you just leave it, throw another rivet in it, or put a small screw and nut on it?

  • @worminator40 Hey, great observation, thanks for posting your question. The rivet increases the structural integrity of the regulator, in addition to the clamps, and replacing it with a new one is always encouraged, if you have a riveter and a 1/8 " pop rivet. However, if you don't have a riveter I wouldn't worry too much, the clamps are strong enough to hold it together. There's another approach to replacing the window mount--which causes less damage--which I plan to post soon.

  • Hey great video, where can I order this replacement window regulator?

  • @Badideaonline Auto Window Solutions. El Paso, TX. (915) 253-4138

    Also, shop on eBay

  • thanks for posting - my liberty's back window will likely need the same fixing. thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • The same procedure applies for all mid 2006 to 2007, front and rear regulators. the only difference will be in the way the window mount is attached to the glass--by metal clip (two if it's the front door)--but the rest will be the same. A way to remove the broken window mount, other than the way demonstrated on the video, is by bending the bottom of the channel column, rather than taking the regulator apart. Hope it helps.

  • @jeeplibertymaster, thank You! You had save my money! But on my Liberty-2006 no any metal clips, mount is the same as on your video.

  • @victorsterli Don't worry, I carry both styles--with clips (for 2002-05), and like the one on the video (06, 07). You may contact me at (915) 253-4138, or email at autowindowsolutions@hotmaildotcom

  • @jeeplibertymaster, Hi, I have a quiestion: What part number for that plastic unit, you had replacing on video?

    Thank you!

  • @victorsterli Please email me at autowindowsolutions@hotmailcom, or call me at the number above so I can know exactly what you need. I carry all four sides for 02-05 Liberty, and all four for 06,07 Liberty.
