  • both are totalitarian.

  • why are they concerned about "glorification of nazi (inadiable) aids" ? are they scared of the sentiment to become truth??!!

  • USA goverment created and executed 9/11 so they can take over OIL reserves of Iran raq and CAspain SEA

The rest is propaganda , made to confuse people.

  • The Soviet Union when it collapsed has fucked up all the former Soviet Republics (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania were never Soviet Republics). Look at Turkemenistan, Uzbekistan then you have the Republic of Moldova which is the poorest country in Europe. Russia is on the decline and collapsing. What Russia was proud of has no disappeared for good. So I say fuck the Soviet Union.

  • Phony Cold War. The plan all along has been to create a Soviet-style world federation under world government. They mapped it in 1941 before Pearl Harbor. The USA has been Sovietized for decades, through its Education system: see Charlotte Iserbyt and "North American Soviet Union" and "The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America". Also look for "Once Upon A Time in the West" a blogspot on the plan known to PUTIN to revert to the old Soviet system in our FUTURE.

  • shalvaify: Fuck you Asshole you prick motherfucker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • stop fashism...stop russia-putin kriminal

  • This is fun. 'Cause Lisbon Treaty so loved by Barroso and co., AGAINST a very large majority of Europeans Citizen from both political views, let EU be a Soviet EU.

  • On behalf of all European TAXPAYERS,...I hope that European Union employees had a wonderful Christmas (at our expense), as you do each year.

We also hope that the 45 MILLION Euros travel expenses paid to you technocrats ( by the un-elected Council of Europe)...was enough ! Don´t bother with reciepts and if you need more next year, don't hesitate NOT to ask us. !

    Happy undemocratic New Year !

VOTE in the June European elections for anyone willing to fight EU corruption.

  • Oh, friend, u should show some more modesty. You don't represent all European TAXPAYERS...

    Not me at least...

And what about all these EU countries in which people trust more the EU than their national governments and parliaments... Hmmm... Don't know...

    hugs from sunny Brussels

  • Then you are welcome to use YOUR money on projects considered of import by the un-elected commission.

There again,if your money is not enough..ask Mr Prodi ! Rumour has it,he has millions of European

taxpayers Euros tucked away that he is unwilling to disclose.

    If that fails...ask the auditors,remember them ?

P.S.Not trusting one corrupt form of government is not reason enough to trust...another form of corrupt government.

  • DO YOU WANT A EUROPEAN FEDERAL SUPERSTATE?

    IF NO THEN:

Type "The Land of Europe" into the youtube search engine.

The uploader of this - one "arbitrary242" is a libdem politician and a member of the British parliament..

Ask him to justify the UK's inclusion into the EU federal superstate.

He is determined to turn the UK into a state run by the EU.

He will get his way undemocratically!

LET THIS ARROGANT OPPRESSOR KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS!

  • someday the fight for democracy will come, i dont talk about a fight with weapons, but a fight with human words and will power!

Let us protect the democracy, let us vote no to EU !

  • So you really think that the West wants to help the East? Like Ukrain? They were better of before. Yes its mainly for economic reasons that country`s "want" to join the EU.

The "West" only wants to strengten NATO and weaken Russia.

You talk about freedom. You are the ones that are killing our freedom,What is happening in Georgia,Macedoniaand,Serbia and Greece now is also the fold of the west.

    Remember 1244?

This is the reaction. And i think it will not end there.

  • Your right, but it's useless to say things like these. they won't understand. I understand you must be serbian.

  • Stop talking about 70 years ago when ``we`` had a Dictator from Georgia that killed alot of people in CCCP times. So what?!?

Slavs have records of 4000 years common History. Not 70 years.

  • Anyway, it is a good thing that communism has been broken down in the Eastern Bloc.Of course it is too bad that the marxist-leninist regime of Kim Jong Il(Yuri Irsenovic) still exists. Communism has only resulted in oppression and torture; people stood up in 1991 and overthrew the marxist dictators. Now freedom, democracy and free market economy is the only way to go.

  • TheBritishWatcher

Dont forget that a big part of the European Union and NATO is still and always will be more pro Russian then pro EU. But they join ONLY for economic reasons.

All the slavic people have direct links with Russia.

Russia cant be the enemy because if she is, then we all (SLAVIC NATIONS) are the enemy.

And that means the European Union and NATO will fall apart.

  • There are close ties between eastern europe and russia ofcourse, some countries such as Poland which suffered for decades under communist rule because of Russia have very strong feelings against Russia, more so than some of the western states.

We will never be at war with Russia, not because of possible differences within NATO / EU but because any war between us would involve nuclear weapons and the end for us all.

Also intime future generations in those countries will feel more "western"

  • Youre wrong,

The Polish people were the strongest of all slavs from the beginning of the 1 Slavic Empire.

Atleast 80% of all slavs in the Europe today are from Poland. All the people in Ex Yugoslavija are from Poland.

And Polish people came from Russia!

Not just ties mate, we all share the Slavic way, its rich History and blood of all our Hero`s. Its a big family and fight`s will and can happen between us slavs but thats all.

  • And yet the people of Poland have elected governments that look to the west and not east. That is not just for their economic success but the future they want. History and close ties are one thing but Poland wasnt exactly happy about being occupied by communist forces for 40 years and most people there want better lives.

The European Union and the west brings that as the huge economic growth in such countries shows.

  • nonsense, economic growth was waiting to happen anyway once the state regulation of the communists disappeared

you see growth there slowing already now there is more and more EU unelected politicians making new regulations

  • Eastern europe still has great growth rates compared to other european countries and part of that is the huge investment and more businesses moving in from western europe.

If there wasnt clear benefits for joining the EU to help improve a countries economy and political position why would several countries be so desperate to actually join.. They know its a good thing and people who have just won their freedom after decades of communist rule wouldnt be prepared to surrender it. The EU isnt bad

  • Let's see. The two legislative chambers of the EU are: the Eu parliament (elected) and the Council of ministers (ministers of the member state that have compentence for the issue that is dealt. - elected.). The commissioners are appointed by elected governments of each member state. I really cannot see your point about "unelected politicians"

  • With places like China and India growing in power the only way European countries can make an impact on the world stage is when we work together as the European Union.

  • let me guess from the US .... i cant remember that i have asked you or did i??...

you guys please clean up your own mess in front of your countrys door before bashing on Europes buisness or what ever you are up for ... Ciao

  • hitler would love EU - he didnt live to see but he did gave name to his empire " united states of europe" i'm not jocking, read history!

  • Hitler wanted a united Europe ruled by him, somehow i dont think him being dead was part of his grand plan. We also happen to have 10000s of Jews living peacefully in Europe so so much for his final solution

European countries after WW2 were weak , our empires were gone and the people were sick of fighting. European countries put aside 1000s of years of war and decided to live in peace. Europe is strong again when we speak with once voice, the EU is richer than the USA, giving us more influence

  • o go to hell british wich-er!

  • Do you still believe in hell? im so sorry Stasia.

  • Mussolini was a charming skilled diplomat and pure evil. Did u no George Washington kept slaves?

  • lol that was winston churchil who named united states of europe xD better u read history first kiddy

  • Yes he said Britain should never be part of it.

  • I know but well it came different ,.... even if i am in favour of Eu , i am sure your country leaves soon if things continue this way ...lets see how it ends... see you

  • Dont forget he said Britain shouldnt be part of it whilst we still had an Empire and ruled large parts of the world. Times have changed, so we rightfully joined the union and should remain part of it.

  • We still have the Commonwealth I am sure we could reform it and make it stronger. I just don't think the EU suits Britain that's why there's allot of hostility towards it.

  • The commonwealth is great for promoting democracy in places like africa and improving human rights but it has very little political power. Our ties with Australia and Canada are vital as is our relationship with India a future world super power, but thats about it.

Look at south africa, the richest african nation and yet its leadership is defending mugabe.. we dont have the same political values anymore.

The EU is far more powerful economically and militarily than all of the commonwealth.

  • Im a strong supporter of the commonwealth and i want to see it strenghtend, but its not in the same league as the European Union. We have EU trade talks with Russia, China, USA etc something thats not possible with the commonwealth because Commonwealth nations have HUGE economic differences and problems.

We europeans face the same sort of problems, have a shared history and indeed are only way to remain important on the world stage is speaking together as the EUROPEAN UNION.

  • traitor

  • excuse me Mark77Mr.. Why do you say traitor?

  • those who support the EU are traitors to their own parliamentary democracies

  • I do not support abolishing parliamentary democracy and that is not planned or being done. We may agree certain laws at a european level but everything is implemented by our own government and parliament NOT brussels.

If theres something we strongly object to then we can usually get an opt out or get something changed. We are a major EU country and major contributor to the budget so its not in their interests to push us.

I support the EU because its a good thing for Britain.

  • sure it is implemented by your own government/parliament. But they can NOT stop Brussels directives or regulations. No the directives/regulations are drawn up by unelected commission and council (both operate outside parliamentary control procedures). Your parliament is powerless to stop those laws. Your parliament cannot change them. Your government has no choice but to implement them. How about that for democracy. The only elected politicians we have cannot change the laws anymore.

  • If the Brussels directive is so bad ofcourse they can stop it. they can refuse to implement the law, yes we will face a fine but they will never push us to such a position.

Great Britain is the second biggest net contributor to the EU budget, we have the second biggest economy in Europe Brussels is not going to force us down a path where we have no choice but force to leave the union.

The COUNCIL is made up of goverment ministers. its the part that protects our interest the most

  • Government ministers go to the Council so they can join up with the Commission and pass laws. The Council enables government ministers to pass laws without needing parliamentary approval. They can bypass their national parliaments altogether via the Council. So effectively, government ministers have executive AND legislative powers (we call that: enabling act). National parliaments have: nothing, except the 'right' to implement EU law unchanged.

  • ministers go to the council so they can represent Britain and its interests. The Council in my opinion is the most important part of the EU and should be strenghtened. Just because the British method of our government going to the council and deciding what it likes with out as knowing doesnt mean all systems are like that

Denmark has a good system where the minister is required to go before parliament members and say what they are going to support at the council meetings, which is open

  • Just because something is agreeed at Council doesnt mean its implemented right away, the government and parliament must still pass legislation. Theres little difference to going to the council to agree something and going to our own cabinet meetings and having agreement on an issue.. BOTH are not open systems. Again the EU shouldnt be attacked for faults in our own lack of democracy and failure to be open.

National partliaments still have the power, our government hold majorities so pass things

  • our governments do not have the RIGHT to stop the fascist EU legislation, therefore the EU is a goddamn dictatorship, stop it with those pro-fascist-EU lies

  • We do have the power to not implement something if we are so strongly against it we are unwilling to cave in. for example lets say the EU ordered us to disband the monarchy something which is totally unacceptable.. we would refuse and threaten to withdraw unless they change the policy or give us an opt out.

There is always a safeguard, the fact EU legislation has to go through our OWN parliament, no matter whats agreeed in the European Union itself. We have the power not to rubber stamp it.

  • Europeans elect MEPs who sit in the European Parliament. Europeans elect national governments who sit on the Council. These two groups decide who heads the European Commission for a fixed period.

If we elected the President of the European Commission it would give him a democratic mandate and hed have more power. It would be the fastest step towards a United States of Europe which most of us do not want. The fact the commission has no democratic mandate prevents it from becoming too powerful.

  • The European parliament has no powers. The national politicians have no mandate to create an extra layer of government on top, and then ceding their authority to it. We elect national politicians to make our laws, not so they can give their powers away. And the commission isn't decided by the EU parliament, but by the EU council (which has no mandate to do so).

  • The European Parliament doesnt have alot of power, which i dont have too much of a problem with. Again in my opinion the COUNCIL is the best way for our own interests to be protected by ministers of our government elected by our people.

The Council does have a mandate, just as government ministers have the mandate to introduce laws and carry out duties that have nothing to do with the EU.

We elect national governments, we expect them to make treaties sand legislation.. thats what they do :)

  • By the way, Britain would be better off if it had control over its own fishing waters. And Britain is lucky it still has an independent fiscal policy, my countrys politicians betrayed us and sold us out to the euro which depressed income. We too would be better off without the EU.

  • Lol well i agree with u on the euro part. Im pro european but im strongly against this country joining the euro and yes our major parties here have no intention of joining it.

As for the fishing policy and indeed the Common agricultural policy im not happy with either of them and they should be reformed but these two things do not justify withdrawl from the union in my view, the benefits outway these negative things.

  • What benefits would that be? Massive regulations which are a disproportional burden on small and medium sized businesses?

And as for reform: the EU is incapable of reform./

  • Reform of the British house of lords has taken over 100 years and its still not completed. The European union in its current form has only been around for about 15 years, in that time it has doubled in size. It takes time to get agreement of 27 countries on the way forward

There are alot of regulations, but our own government ads to that regulation and red tape usually making things worse. If we want access to the EU single market we must put up with that red tape. Theres plenty of benefits

  • like what, getting screwed over and losing a relative 5% of our wages because of the conversion to the Euro? At the time I was so angry I could have shot those bastard traitor politicians if I'd had a gun.

And the EU isn't a single market because France and co never play by the rules. The EU is a customs union which causes death and misery amongst African farmers by denying them the change to access our markets and destroying markets in Africa by dumping.

    African deaths = EU's fault

  • Countries chose to join the Euro, not all did some got opt outs and im glad Britain did. i cant defend the Euro because i too think its a bad idea considering how different our economies and countries are.

Yes France and germany sometimes dont follow all the rules, but that just goes to show countries can break certain rules and get away with it without the EU blowing them up or soemthing.

Im against the CAP which is a waste of money but we must also look after our home grown food suppliers.

  • Over 1 million british citizens take advantage of the EU freedom of movement living and owning property in Spain and France alone.

British business profits from having access to the EU single market. A country like NORWAY which is not an EU member pays money to the union for access to it and must comply with alot of the EU legislation despite having no say on it.

The recent events in Gerogia-Russia show why a strong single EU voice is important on the world stage. EU helped get a ceasefire

  • as if people couldn't live abroad if the EU didn't exist. And we don't have any say now we're in the EU either, the unelected Brussels tyrants make the decisions and national politicians cannot stop those laws. And UK'd be better off with its own fisheries industry rather than letting French and Spanish steal the fish.

And that goddamned lie about the EU helping to get a ceasefire: pure Goebbels.

  • People could live abroad yes but theyd need paper work and to go through lots of red tape. As an EU citizen i have the right to live and work anywhere in the European Union and Norway etc. I dont have that basic right if i wanted to live in the USA, id have to apply and plenty get denied

when it comes to fishing we must share resources, im more concerned about Fishing Quotas wasting fish than other EU countries fishing in our waters

AS for Georgia, french president got ceasfire as EU president

  • and you better shut up! go to library, read old "Times" articles about hitler and churchil:2 basters as you are! churchil described musolini as a "lady man, charming, skilled diplomat, etc!go to library and read sucker!

  • Felix Dzerzhinsky - KGB founder was born on 9/11/1877 and Nikita Krushchev died on 9/11/1971. Gee, do you think Russia planned 9/11? I do...

  • No it was you fucking americans that planned the attack to have a lie to attack innconit Iraq you dumb ass american dog.

  • Drop dead you Russian Nazi drunk

  • The EU is the totalitarian corrupt regime, which should not have any say on the world stage.

The "EU Project" must be completely destroyed - either from within - or by an outside power who supports democracy.

Maybe the threat of nuclear annilation of europe if it does not return to individual and democratic sovereign nation control and pay recompense for its evil to the member states is the way forward.

All EU directives must be torn up, in the name of common sense and national freedom.

  • where's Barroso speaking here?

  • brown and blair might be going to jail soon for betraying britain

  • Listen idiot, the European Continent, including Britain depends on Russia for energy supplies... Can you imagine what a mess it would be if single European Countries started to deal with Russia alone? This would only allow the Russians to take advantage of the disagreement between european countries. The romans said DIVIDE ET IMPERA: Divide and Rule.

  • no.its called choice not get what your given sonny.referendum demanded.meddling brussels out

  • If euroscepticism succeds my only consolation will be to see european countries getting completely fucked up in 2060 with Russia, India, China, the US and soon Brazil setting global standards and tiny european countries, including the UK (that at that time won't more more important than Denmark on proportion) simply having to comply with the rules these superpowers have set. Is this what you call freedom? Then you so much deserve it.

  • more propaganda told by them eh?

  • If Europe doesn't act as a whole with Russia, China and India we would be all fucked because these supergiants would start exercising influence on individual european countries and try to put us against each other. What Eurosceptics do not realize is that in 2050 UK, Germany and France alone won't be more important than Sweden or Norway. And at that time, if we don't stay together we're going to lose our independence for real. Because we'll be totally controlled by other non-european countries.

  • no reason to abolish parliamentary democracy and give power to unelected fascist EU-crats

  • What's the fucking problem with you people? What's the problem in having a group of sovereign countries which share the same geo-political interests and have strong cultural ties protecting each other against external threats?? I can understand people who say "I don't like how the EU works, let's change it" but I just do not understand those who say "We can face the world alone, fuck the others". That's simply irresponsible madness.

  • you might be happy with just a loaf of bread as entertainment but in the uk its not like that.different customs

  • Your perceived threats have been at the throats of soverign nations and indeed circulating within their blood stream from the birth of soverienty, and I guarantee that the EUs biggest critics are staring down those same "external threats" only now cohesive, under a common flag.

  • EU and totalitarianism are opposites.

Before you comment you should read the European Treaty.

  • EU = fascism

  • e.u. is mix of nazi Germany and nowadays NWO totalitarian super state.

  • Apart from the majority conspiracy theory's crap, UE is very far from what the Nazi Germany was, is a very democratic structure, who attempt to unite the Europe with a more fair communitarian policy, for the benefit of all the country's included in the institution.

  • Ajarlo, sadly intelligent people like you are the minority... the great majority just likes believing propaganda bullshits other people like them told them... that's how Nazi Germany went to power... by scaring the hell out people without any reason to do so. That's the same thing eurosceptics do.

  • What?! This kind of over simplification is exactly how the minds of the people are destroyed. Imagine, a ripple in civilization of the magnitude that was the third reich, dismissed by tools such as yourself as pointless. But I digress, you are indeed the majority.

  • Actualy EU itself is the totalitarian structure !

  • "condemning totalitarianism" what a joke. EU, after carrying out crusades the world over responsible for hundreds of millions of human deaths ("self-justifying" macabre population control schemes), these EU/US actors try to maintain what is left of their grotesque image by focusing on the sins of countries outside their club.

  • the EU has not started any crusade. The US has and diplomatically forced some weak European states to join, that wanted to please the US after the 911 shock... European countries like Austria did not take part in any military action...

  • @AustrianAtheist How did you come to that conclusion? Did you only recently begin paying attention to world affairs? It is not fair to come onto a serious discussion like this one simply because you want a break from death metal rock concerts.

  • What crusades are you talking of? If you mean Afghanistan/Iraq as I assume, I must explain you, that the EU was not involved. Nato was nearly breaking up because of Iraq; some EU-members strongly opposed both actions. That is the facts, if you live in a fantasy world, it is not my fault

  • @AustrianAtheist You mean to distinguish between the European Union as a unified force versus individual countries making up the EU acting in various capacities for the crusade even acting at once? If they fuel the crusade in any way (bombings, weapons deliveries, imposition of oil-for-food sanctions, etc.), they are waging the violence and carrying out the crusade. Please don't respond by saying that these involvements are separate from the ideological motives of EU leadership.

  • They are seperated, how can you be such an superficial analyser? There is no common European foreign policy. Every idiot notices that. Compare UK to Sweden...compare the SPE-party to the EVP-party.....

  • @AustrianAtheist Also, the entire atrocity of the World Bank and IMF, pharma companies raining sickness on the whole world through lying "scientific" studies and patent "rights", destabilizing economies with banking schemes. And countries like Austria lend plenty of logistical support for it all. Leadership of EU and US military/diplomatic corps should be on the knees pleading for mercy.
