  • that's some big power you would eat chevy camaro and almost any thing that comes in you way great job on you car.

  • VERY well done sir!

I didn't see which EMS you went with- what do you use currently, and what do you like about vs other systems?

  • @TheJohn1320 Thank you .. I am still running the stock Ford v1 ECU made for the 99-02 .. the v1.5 2003 ECC is a bit better but so far no need to upgrade from stock, with the correct re-programming everything works spot on..

  • @700hpV6 I'm pleasantly shocked at how well a stock ecu behaves on this setup. So no other systems involved? No piggies, no FMU, fancy controllers?

I'm so used to dealing with having chips burned for my oldschool Shelby Daytona. They only had 64kb of memory unless our guys socketed the board computer for easy swapping and a bigger 128kb chip.

My only regret is that all our Dodge cars were FWD. Launches suck on most of our setups..

  • @TheJohn1320 thats correct .. nothing at all ..all stock just the stock ECU reprogram using SCT nothing more .. I am running custom 76lb/min injectors, custom twin GT40 pumps with 03 Cobra fuel tank etc.. the stock ECU and stock return-less fuel setup was very easy to tune .. not one issue at all .. Upgraded fuel lines and custom mod. stock fuel rails .. even stock OEM spark system.

  • @700hpV6 I need to be careful, I'm starting to really want one to build up! If the ECU is that friendly, most of the tune work is academic instead of a headache..

  • skyline Killer!

  • Since you've turbo'd 2 stangs now, what do you think a similar setup would cost on a 2012 v6? What's the advantages over the Procharger?

  • One question, how much did all of that cost?

  • @thebacanaut1 1/3 the cost of doing the same to my 98 TT Cobra, netting the same results, My car is show/go, you can do a power only setup “go” for under $5k (built motor + power adder)

  • @700hpV6 how is it that cheap? I was looking up parts for my s197 and a built motor cost 5k alone.

  • @ogpauly the 1994 - 2004 3.8L's are push-rod OHV motor.. parts / motor etc all cost less then 2005+ OHC motor .. plus where you buy and who you know will affect final cost.

  • @700hpV6 how much would a good twin turbo fully built yada yada '09 v6 mustang cost, roughly?

  • @ogpauly Sorry, I don't know much about the 05-09's v6 other than parts cost more, you will need to find a source that will offer you good price .. I know TMA will start making Twin and single turbo kits for the 3.7L 2011+ don't know why he skips over the 05-09's ..but they are other shops making good kits for them just cost more..

  • Best v6 ive ever seen!

  • is it automatic

  • @gampon63 yes it is, built 4R70w Auto is better with turbo setup, turbo remain 100% spool during shift, plus faster spool, turbo and auto is one of the best combo ..also I am getting a roll bar put in this season so I can run at the tracks again .. hoping for 10.3's with 100% street tune 15-16psi and 10.0 high 9's at 20psi race tune .. next HPMustangs rental is in Oct. this year, I'll have everything ready by then hopefully :) stay tune..

  • How much does just the F150 crank upgrade increase hp by?

  • @L00kovathere well you would not just do a F150 crank upgrade as you'll need rods and piston to match, best to do a motor swap, the 4.2L F150 v6 has the same motor and heads as the 99+ v6 mustangs, with the diff. being better internal OEM parts. 4.2L crank, matching rods and piston etc.. plus diff lower and upper intakes, that’s about it the cost

of a stock OEM v6 4.2L F150 motor used with low mileage are going from $500-700, tuned 28-29hp 50+tq.

even more with F.I. (boosted power adder)

  • dang i was looking at this mustangs cause i might get a blue one with white strips so that nice a can get a good car on gas and make it a beast

  • dang i was looking at this mustangs cause i might get a blue one with white strips so that nice a can get a good car on gas and make it a beast

  • I'm not even a ford fan and I think this is a sexy beast. Very nice car.

  • wow, mad props to you and making a 700 horse power v6 mustang, i gotta ask how much money did you spend on this thing

  • @V6stangxX Thank you .. Well cost is relative, its cost me haft as much as a equally built v8 TT setup .. You can build the same

today for around $7k (built motor + TT), being the first with this setup cost more however.

  • J's car is awesome, and I love it more everytime I see it.

@ Bluetilerules120 - Roush made V6 packages as early as 1995 all they way up to the S197 cars. Saleen even kicked out 6 or 7 "SALEEN SPORT" packages that were V6 cars. Now those are rare.

  • Can you tell me how you built up your engine to a 4.3, and where you got it? I really also don't know what "built up" really means? Thanks for the help.

  • Very impressive! I put twins on my 01 Roush GT. Blew it up doin a built 4.6 4v. Lookin for 750rwhp on street tune.

  • impressive

  • wait is this the old 4 liter 6 i didnt think that thing could handle boost reliably

  • very very nice!

  • how do u suggest modding my 2000 v6 convertible mustang STOCK atm :)

  • im not hating but roush never made a v6 mustang

  • @bluetilerules120

    Yes he did.

  • @JTsStang he did on a newer model but not this bodystyle.

  • @bluetilerules120 yes they did they made plenty from 99-09

  • @bluetilerules120 Roush makes both v6 and v8 for YEARS .. only Saleen made v8 ..

  • @bluetilerules120 hes right roush did make a v6 i jsut looked it up i tought i was Trippin when i saw the video too

  • dude please tell me how to get my auto v6 like yours LOL

  • i have a 04 mustang v6! im a big supporter of v6 mustangs. cuz we like to stand out. v6 power are my heros!! you guys are awesome.

  • How can i get 300 hp out of my v6 mustang automatic 98

  • i wish i had the money to get the twin turbo once you start the 05-09's. too bad i don't have any money, but if you're looking to give away a sponsorship... haha

  • That's fucking AMAZING, but I could never spend that kind of money on any car.

  • @The01MustangV6 Once you start. You can't stop :) Trust me

  • @The01MustangV6 you don't spend all that money all at once .. my car has been now 5 years in the making .. and the bulk of spending was over 3 years time..

so it only feels like 2-3k per-year .. for me this is my hobby .. others has a ton more expensive hobbies .. as a man you need a hobby!! don't matter what it is .. but something you enjoy for yourself!!

  • sickest v6 ever

  • @FenderShredder9 Thank you.. so much more to come .. I'm not done yet :)

  • very nice

  • how much would something like that cost me to do to my 2002 v6? maybe not that extreame but maybe about 400hp. i would love to do it!!!

  • @agcerrillo Well seing as TMA or Andy doesnt make kits anymore which is what J has you would have to get a used kit..Which would be about 3K or so..You could have someone build you a kit which would be well 4K or so..OR get a ProCharger and hit 400..Your choice.

  • @agcerrillo IMO its best to just push the stock 3.8L you have for only that power range .. anyone (1999+ that is ) looking for 300-400hp should just push their stock motor .. a 99-04 3.8L can support 370-390whp safely with a turbo setup.. for an SC

setup 310-330 is best.. your cost should only be "power-adder (turbo or SC), fuel system (pump and injectors), and a very good tune with a Mafia MAF extender .. SCT turns are best.

  • @agcerrillo supercharger = $5,000

  • Ok now go kill some vettes please make sure they're z06 vettes.

  • @biggboy73 been doing that for a few years now :)

  • @700hpV6 my man keep up the good work. I'll love to see what you could do with a 2011 v6.

  • @biggboy73 Will have one soon, Andy my main welder will be back in CA

he will be building a custom TT setup for the 2011 .. going to push the stock

EcoBoost motor and find its limit and will have SSM do a custom motor build up,

should be good to 800 .. but we'll see, project will take a few years tho..

hope to keep cost within the $10k range .. for both built motor and TT power adder ..

  • @700hpV6 watch out with those 3.5 ecoboosts, they arent made for modifying, upgrade the fuel system before anything else

  • @ADD8oi Is it a 3.5L or 3.7 ?

  • @TX97SR20DET theyre 3.5L twin turbo engines lol, 365hp

  • @ADD8oi - I'm guessing the new Taurus engine? I thought for a second you were talking about the new Mustangs 3.7L. I never assumed you were wrong. just checking for my own knowledge ;)

  • @ADD8oi My computer is jacking up and it wont let me see the previous comments.

  • @ADD8oi if you know what you are don't anything can be modified to support whatever you want .. the best shops to work with are shops that builds only 4 and 6 cyl. racing motors ..

  • @700hpV6 hope you do get that 2011 mustang. the 3.7L ain't a EcoBoost motor, since EcoBoost motors are fully forge turbocharged engines. That 3.7L should be able to withstand 6 to 10psi in stock form, the engine has forged connecting rods and forged crank. it has potential, especially with its nearly all-forged internals.

  • @andrestnt what makes an "EcoBoost motors" is not the internal but the block and tech .. the 3.5 and 3.7 is the "basically" the same just different piston and rods .. all major parts are still the same .. the 3.7L is also stronger than the old 4.0 .. and you can push 14-15psi easy .. so I would expect base on the 3.7 DFI setup you can push it even more .. the very old push 3.8L rod. did not have anything forged in it and it hold 12-14psi .. with a very good tune they will last ..

  • @700hpV6 still the EcoBoost means Turbos and strong internals. 14psi max for the 3.7L sound about right. 3.7L should be great for the enthusiast, Ford Gave us a great starting engine. The 3.5L EB is going to be more awesome, when it receives the TI-VCT upgrade in the SHO model, just like in the F150.

  • @andrestnt very true .. for what I plan .. I'll need to upgrade the internals and heads anyways .. hoping to put the first 2011 (3.7L) in the 700+rwhp club .. Andy over at TMA will be building me a TT kit for the 3.7L .. also going to drop the compression so I can hit 700whp on pump gas as my current setup .. still all this in 24 months time .. just hope I get this Vert. in the 9's before playing with the 2011 ..

  • @700hpV6

9's holy shit..lol The 5.0L just hit 8's its the V6 turn. 10 to 1 compression should do it, on stock form 6psi should net you 450hp. i'm more of Road-race type of guy, balance between Hp and handling does it for me. There should really be more people making parts for this engine.

  • It's cool to see people going about different ways to make power. Not everyone needs to have a supercharged v8... Nice!

  • @xero890 so very true .. and more car manufacture will be putting out more and more turbo v6's .. crazy power with better EPA (MPG) over the big 8 .. the Ford Essex 6 motor and the new Ecoboost 6 motors are very strong blocks, very good to build up .. easy 700+whp with the right combo of low cost forged parts ..

  • @xero890 agreed!

  • @xero890 True! I myself have the new edge GT but would take a car like this over mine anyday!

  • Men that's awsome I have 2 gts and was wanting to get a six to surpass them let me tell u my 04 has a Kennybell and only pushing 509bhp

  • @Spkslayer666 I hear ya man, I had a TT 98 Cobra, back in 90's I have to say I did not even think much of v6 as the motor back then in the 90s had head gasket issues with minor power .. but when the 99+ 3.8l split-port came out, Ford fix just about everything, so in 2000 I pick up my first v6 to work on, years later I am making 698whp close to what I made on my fully build TT Cobra but my v6 build cost me 1/3 less and still a family car, win win all-around

  • Cool! Leave the body kit on. Makes it more of a sleeper!!!

  • have you ever thought about doing the windstar upgrade? I'm sure thats power just waiting for ya.

  • @mustangfan00 I did a windstar setup, however the windstar upper will not last long under repeated high boost .. well the 01+ windstar upper anyways and the pre-01 windstar upper is no better than a well cut-and-weld ported 99+ 3.8l upper .. however the 01+ windstar lower is much better than the mustang with a custom upper on a 01+ windstar lower will free up more power and gain a ton more flow .. so that I will do one day

  • @700hpV6 Ok well what about a custom upper intake?

  • @mustangfan00 Super Six Motorsports makes Intakes that are well awesome..

  • Man, theres no HP like free HP.. Screw superchargers, Turbos rule. Awesome ride man.

  • Thank you .. can't wait for this season to start .. got to see what she will do now on the track .. stop by HPMUSTANGS . COM will post track rental date..

  • MEAN MEAN car my friend. im not a fan of the roush and saleen bodykits though.

  • @blunts4dayzzz Thanks its a 2000 v6 Roush with a saleen rear .. I did not like the side exhaust don't flow well for turbo rides so I had to convert it ..

  • Thanks guys.. FYI this season I plan on hitting 750rwhp SAE .. new vidz of my 698rwhp pull will be up soon ..

  • btw thats one sick ass stang..i hav more modest goals for my sixxer lol just a simple supercharger will suffice =]

  • how did u get rid of the grill n stil keep the pony? i want to get the mach 1 kit but 100 bucks is jst too pricey.. :/

  • Thats how it came .. its a 2000 Roush v6 Vert..

  • Holy SHIT, I've never seen a V6 Mustang put out those kind of numbers. Grats, brother!

  • Thank you, and even better numbers to come this season .. stay tune..

  • I'm subscribing as we speak =D

  • That's pretty badass, most guys with V6 Mustangs are posers but that thing is killer.

  • damn dude that is a work of art

  • I just wet my pants

  • :) Thanks guys

  • jesus that thing is sick

  • Amazing car.

  • Thank You..

  • quick question, how much did you spend on the car to make it that badass....an estimate....

  • 1/3 the cost of what I put in my old 98 Cobra, just under $10k for the built motor and 1,100hp capable Twin Turbo power-adder ..

  • wtf thats crazy power for a v6

  • Thanks, next season I plan to put down a over 700 to the wheels .. so far 698whp STD ..

  • Bravo!!! awesome car have fun with it

  • I think you can kick a planes ass sounds even better then a plane taking off because your sitting on it.

  • Thanks lol

  • nice bumper and car

  • awsome car and even better numbers! I dont know about you though but I'd find a different place to get your car dyno'd your car shouldnt move that much to the sides when strapped down properly

  • Thanks .. yeah they did not use the 4 way strap .. most cars they only the the 2 in rear .. and no side to side strap .. they have been dynoing like that for a good 20+ years now without any issues .. so far anyways..

  • Wouldn't it suck if your car was the first time it fucked up?

It would be a damn shame, too, as it's a very unique car. V6 slamming out more power than most V8's.

All it needs now is a six-speed and it's officially the most badass mustang on the road.

  • awesome setup up man amazing car, im trying to do a similar build, what did it cost you overall to do the stroker with the twin turbo's??? Again amazing build man

  • To do the same you don't need to do what I did .. my setup was built to made very high numbers with low boost .. all you need is a built short block $3k with some basic ported heads $700 and a TT kt $5k or $4k for a single ..

  • Nice Stang. I've got an 09 4.0 thats Either looking at getting a procharger and alot of internal work or one of those new EcoBoost's stuck under the hood. I'm still looking into the second option.

  • I would go with the EcoBoost, the current 4.0 block is limit to 520-550max b4 the coolant passage cracks .. 500whp is a safe place to stop on the 4.0 OHC motors, the EcoBoost I am told is just as strong as the old 3.8L base block good to 1,000hp at the crank .. go I plan to get a 2011 3.7L EcoBoost v6 stang.. makes 280hp stock est.. but we'll see what Ford limit the stock numbers too, more important its a very strong block like the old push-rod 3.8L's .. btw Thanks

  • damn man i again say this is one awsome car, id love to know what all the GTs ang GT fan boys would say about this. a V8 killer!!

  • I play with Cobra's, GT500's and Supra's one of my buddy just built his 2v and coming after me but we'll see .. he should be making 700 to the wheels but he got a stick so we'll see ..

  • ur my fuckin hero, i was checkin out the forums, and u sir have inspired me, but im gonna go for the 1,000hp and put it in a ranger.

  • you are very welcome .. anything you need help with PM or post up on the hpmustangs forums or the v6p forums

  • one bad azz car! good job!

  • was that just a stock 4.3 v6 with a twin turbo

  • Ford don't make a stock 4.3L only a stock 4.2L .. this is a built 4.2L ported .060 over to equal a 4.3L built v6 .. forged piston, forged rods with 4.2L crank and bore over .060 good to 1,000hp at the crank ..

  • where did you get those side scoops?? and body kit

  • Well the car is a 2000 Roush .. You can get the kit from Roush, however I change the rear bumper and the side skirt, the side skirt is no longer being sold .. But I may be wrong they are laminar, and the rear bumper is Saleen s281e rear bumper ..

  • side is = kaminari

  • what kind of mileage do you get. just wondering if its still better than the v8 for mileage.

  • I get better than stock when doing normal driving.. about 29-30mpg hw, 28-mix .. however once I go WOT gas mileage gets shot to hell est. 22mpg when racing ..

  • not bad. another plus you can beet v8's and get better gas mileage at the same time.

  • my s10's got the 4.3 haha great engine, nice mustang

  • S10 .. if thats a GM its totally tow different motor ..

This is a Ford 3.8L motor with an F150 4.2L crank born over .60 ..

thats makes it a 4.3L .. but basically this is an Ford 3.8L motor

    with the F150 crank ..

  • y didnt you bore the 4.2?

  • yeah them same ppl don't know that GM GN motors and Supra motors making 1000+hp are all v6 .. some ppl just go by name, and most people don't even know how power is made in a motor, most of them thinks is the amount of cylinders that makes the power, and thats not true .. its the amount of CFM flow you can get in/out of the motor!! so power is only base on total overall FLOW not the amount of cylinders!!! all basic high school stuff..

  • i believe the supra is an I6 not a v6

  • lol very true it is .. very similar to my old GS300 I6 motor, with different heads

  • very very impressive prolly one of the fastest v6 mustangs

  • Finally someone who knows how to do something right.. much respect man :D

  • Its incredible what you did with your Mustang, definitely something I want to do with mine. How much was the total expense as far as performance parts go? I mean I gotta say you got a really nice car and everything just fits. Is just that I want mine to have more bite and then get the body kit a little later.

  • the only performance parts I got is in the TT kit.. $5k also fully built short block $3k to keep boost low ported heads and intakes .. but still using the stock intakes just ported, with a box upper I will be able to lower the boost even more and make the same power .. a single-turbo kit can make the same power with a little more boost and cost 2k less .. so if you plan to make this power and not spend too much ..$6k for both a single-turbo kit and built short block.

  • I have a Firebird V6 and I must say I am impress with what you did to your V6

  • Thank you, I got a few friends with GM v6 making very good power as well .. check out fullthrottlev6,com

  • Very good power in this set up. Good job.

  • Thanks...

  • what do you drive?

  • what do it drive? a v6 Ford Mustang Vert, stock 3.8l block with forged internals and a TMA Twin Turbo kit .. good for 9's in my heavy ass setup .. good for 8's in a coupe setup.

  • no not you,i was talking to..damn i couldnt find his comment, but it was someone that said somthing stupid

  • wow.how come you chose a v6?

  • Well I had a Twin Turbo 98 Cobra .. cost me over $35k+ to build, plus the cost of the car .. after I totally it .. going to a v6 main reason was COST and the fact I only need around 700rwhp and a v6 built to put out 700rwhp cost 60+% less than doing so on the same platform, personally I feel if you got a v8 you should be making 800+rwhp .. because 500-700rwhp a v6 can do that for a lot less ..

  • cool bro.make sure to post some vids kickin ass!!!

  • How much did this modification kit cost?

  • Its a standard TMA TT v6 kit.. $5.1k, similar kit for a v8 goes for $9+k

    with similar quality..

  • Wow, not bad. Even though I'd still rather own a V8. Props.

  • I'd rather a v10 ;)

  • Thanks guys..

  • awesome car man

  • very nice tt setup - I am impressed

  • whoa'

  • hell, that's impressive. I love my '02 GT

  • Thanks..

  • which runs mid sixes... and if he swaps the tires and turns the bottle off he can drive it to work haha... and he does...

  • wow mid 6 in the 1/4 or 1/8? if in the 1/4 that is flying! 230MPH? thats a badass ride! the v6 limits are just for street right now you can't push them pass 1,000hp at the crank without doing mods to the main caps, and that will only get you to 1,200hp, so if anyone looking to build a race car or a 8'sec street car a v8 or v10 will be the best to start with but all that cost a load of money the avg. ppl just need 550-650rwhp on the street anymore and it starts to get a bit crazy and expensive..

  • do you know if the company that makes your twin turbo's might have a set-up for the 3.8L 1990 mercury cougars?

  • if its a rear wheel drive car .. the same kit will fit any year 3.8l ford v6 push-rod car..

    go to tmaturbo,com

  • thanks i just checked it out, not to fond of the prices though LOL!!! looks like imma start saving up ha ha.

  • lol :) look at it this way .. that same single-kit for the v8 runs $8+k .. so its real cheap for the v6 lol

  • just on a guess, my 3.8L already is making close to 300rwhp with these upgrades- supercoupe performance race roller rockers, kooks longtube headers, flowmaster dumps, 190lph fuel pump, sct x-cal 93 octane tune, scp stage 3 cams, afr forged pistons. would the turbo set-up change any of these mods?

  • Well what compression ratio in your piston? If you got 8.5:1 and forged rods as well, all youll need is a better fuel system, like a 03-04 cobra tank, with twin GT40 pumps, and full wire and FPDM upgrades, to support 550rwhp, if you plan for 600+ youll need to upgrade or modify the fuel rail, also will need 8an fuel line from tank to rail, I have all this info. on my home site hpmustangs, com anything you need to know to make well over 900hp at the crank with a built ford v6 motor

  • i know theres powerful sixes... and honestly im just a fan of the deep nasty sound you get from the v8s its really just not something that you can replicate from a six u kno... its a emotional thing i typoed my last post not 5.35... 3.55... i know ive seen some pretty awesome six bangers in the new body but i havent really taken too much interest... i have a buddy with a 802rwhp 2003 cobra that ran 9.4.. lol he also has a 88 capri with a 11.4l engine from jackson racing engines..

  • lol I reply to the wrong post .. read below for replies for this one.. it may be easier if we talk on the forums or private msg..

  • (continued) Stay stick because i love running through the gears too much... (Viper spec T56 with a stage 3 ceramic clutch probabally but ill jump off that bridge when i get there... the 8.8 will be the rear i start with and ill run 3.73 or 5.35 ratios. Im going to do the suspension on all four corners with a five grand budget in mind for suspension and finally i will be upgrading my cobra brakes for the brembos on the Z06 option list (3600 from GM suprising i know)

  • I hear ya, but if you are into sound then you are just about limited to a SC or N/A setup, with the twin turbo on my 98 Cobra the car sounded just like my 6 .. turbo takes away to the nice deep note from the exhaust .. and I love turbo more than any other power-adder guess thats way I never care much about anything that does not sound like a "JET"!! I just simply love the jet sounds the turbo makes (it is indeed an emotional thing) ,

  • my old Cobra made 751rwhp the setup was good for 9.5s but I never got her there .. still I may

get the older fox body and make an all out twin turbo fox, push-rod motors seems to

cost less right now to build overall ..

  • Its the entry level mustang... people dont think about it... im a cobra fan naturally and thats not gonna change... Im kinda worried about how long your gonna be able to run that setup street... but if your build was as cheep as you claim then its not like its even that expensive anyways... im thinking of dropping a aluminator into my engine with the PI heads, stage 2 comp cams and the new techco 3litre tssc thats a 12 grand engine and potentials 700 whp... although im gonna stay stick..

  • cool I hear ya.. well I'm a "mustang" fan been one from way back in the day .. loved both the 5.0 and 4cly turbo . never really care what motor was in it .. as long as its a mustang lol now that I have done both gives me a better understanding and respect of the two diff, setup .. but yeah its that cheap thats why I post the shops to buy the same things I am running, turbo kit, built motor + install all under $12k, anyone can do it, there is a few others doing the same over at v6power,net

  • so Im not the only one, just the only one in a Vert.. at this level, lots of people like the turbo GNs as well and they have been building badass 6 for years, I just think people underestimate the ford v6 block thats why no one never try it back in the days.. wow man it seem you got some major projects going on as well good luck with them, I know it takes lots of time and money, but hell its one expensive hobby no matter how you look at it lol good luck and sign up over at hpmustangs, com

  • i was gonna say the 3.55 gears rather than the 3.73s... ive seen ttguys with the 3.73 and they keep over reving because it rips through the upper rev range so fast... the 133mph suggests that you can get it into the 9s but itl be close... get your 60 down a bit and u might be close... pc

  • lol been there .. I had 4.10s in the with the first setup and omg, I hit the limiter on every shift, even when I left it in drive, the computer just could not shift faster enough, right now my limiter is set at 6500rpms and I pass tho the trap at 6300rpms with 25.1 OD tire, I am going to put on some MT's that is 26.7 tall OD tires that should give me a bit more MPH range, and I am going to need it if I use the transbrake and run a race trim setup ..

  • ps i think i just saw another vid of ur car 11.17 is a solid pass... you should be able to get a little faster out of it what do you have for gears in the rear end...???
