can someone please tell me what experimental hip hop actually is. like I just wanna know what makes this style what it is and the difference between this and new style, i'm a dancer but my knowledge is pretty shit
@edenniaz it's exactly what it sounds like, hip hop beats in terms of tempo/structure, with experimental elements. so the sounds used to construct the tracks are more obscure, textured ect, check out shlohmo, baths, groundislava, flying lotus, samiyam..... anything through wedidit collective and brainfeeder really as a starting point
and what about the electric boogaloo performing on Daft punk?? And experimental is a discipline present in the Just Debout, one of the famous stand up hiphop dance. Well we just think different, it's not a problem,
@breakintomh ...why are you mentioning "Daft Punk"? That's electronic. xD ...okay you might be able to dance like this to HipHop too but I guess it wouldn't be a usual dance for that genre.

I love the others hiphop dance like lockin poppin house dancing and even the newschool dance. But in my opinion, this is hiphop because he use hiphop move , done in his way, this is how we make hip hop evolving. And about the music, man you didn't see salah perform with strange electro music?
