Dear youtube: DON'T drill holes in cymbals, not only does it void any possible warranty you have, it also makes cymbals sound like shit most of the time even if you do it right. Don't listen to this dumbass....expert village is a joke

My gosh, most of you guys are the stupid ones. I will agree that a lot of people on EV are awful, but this guy is not. He knows what he's talking about, but because it's on EV you guys apparently have to find something wrong with it. I can't believe some of you are saying he's stupid for having rivets! Tons of jazz drummers use rivets. They give a nice sizzle sound. And who cares if he uses all ride cymbals? Tons of jazz and rock drummers use all ride cymbals. There's nothing wrong with that.

You don't drill brass with a sharp bit, it will bit into the brass and pull the drill bit

through and the chuck will crack the cymbal.

You must Grind relieve the drill bit and put a piece of wood underneath.

I have to agree that they do not sound that good. I do not want to be mean but ya they are not the best. There are a lot of bad cymbal out there just like there are a lot of bad shoes out there. Bad shoes don't look bad when you are in a crowd and bad cymbals might get you through with a band but both when scrutinized up close can quickly reveal their lacks as well as strengths. The tips were good though.
