I hope Mitt Romney decides to run again. I dont care what religion Mitt Romney is, I am voting for the president of the United States, not a minister. Mitt Romney is a sharp man. I see others in the GOP that have great potential.
I don't know about Romney -- he just doesn't seem to have the kind of integrity which the other men I mentioned have demonstrated. I see Romney as a pro-bailout type of politician, and his rhetoric throughout his campaign didn't impress me very much. He's too moderate. He may surprise me in the future though.
He isn't pro-bailout. He is from Michigan and opposed the auto-bailout from the beginning and called for structured bankruptcy. He did agree with some type of infusion of liquidity into the market, like TARP, however he says TARP has been sorely mismanaged and he would have done it better and had more transparency. I assure you as a conservative and a Mormon, that he is grounded in his faith and his faith is conservative. He is a conservative.
I lean more towards Objectivism than religion though, so the argument from Mormonism doesn't sway me very much. I'm predominantly concerned with a principled defense of capitalism. I did support him for President though -- I found him better than any of the other candidates.
i'm from green bay and I wish Rep. Ryan was my congressman instead of Rep. Kagen. Nancy Pelosi has total control over Dr. Kagen and it's really sad. Considering Pelosi approval ratings are lower than Pres. Bush but the mainstream media rarely reports this fact.
i am glad to hear the republican side of things, but honestly this is lame... if the republicans want a chance again, they have to start innovating. I want to some originality, and forward thinking form you party!!!!
I don't know how much more innovative you can get! Republicans are trying to offer basic plans, but as long as stations like MSNBC and NBC continue to falsely report on the Republican side of the issues Republicans have to work even harder to get the message across.
i'm so sick of the republicans sitting around like sheep and not challenging the liberals on anything. even though the republicans are the minority, they still need to get their acts together and start producing some ideas, give press conferences, get out among the masses and show some backbone. this tv show is getting tired everyday.
very good video, the sad thing is though i fear its too late for our economy, its amazing that we are witnessing 20 states try to declare Sovereignty because as they have said the federal government has over stepped its right with this stimulus package, and now our children and ourselves will pay.
Smukie2525, there were Republicans that were talking about these ideas over the past eight years. I am from Milwaukee and I discovered Ron Paul about eight months ago. He changed my life, check him out.
Looking at the other comments for this video I am confused. It sounds as if there are actual differences between Republicans and Democrats. I was unaware that there were.
This economic mess was caused by both Democrats and Republicans, as well as the irresponsible debt and spending by the United States citizens. We are all to blame.
He is my representative, and while I agree with a lot of what he is saying in this video, I care more about how he votes than how he speaks. What he is saying is quite hypocritical considering he voted in favor of both the auto bailout and the bailout last fall.
Republicans are finally sounding like Republicans, but where was this talk during the last 8 years??
Ron Paul's voting record reflects his ideas-he is not just empty talk.
The regulations put forth relating to affordable housing access were instituted in the Carter administration and many Republican senators including Olympia Snowe of Maine wanted an investigation of Frank Raines in 2006 because of the perceived housing bubble at the time. Democrats blocked this request and assured president Bush that there was no problem and that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had very good guidelines and fantastic leadership. See past videos from Maxine Waters and Barney Frank.
Platitudes about economic crisis while millions go overseas to fund abortion.
Buying gifts for British diplomats at the nearby Wal-Mart, all the while sucking up to the French and proppsong nuclear disarmament as North Korea announces even to clueless Liberals that they can launch ICBMs.
Wow. Such cogency from the Left. Maybe next time you could capitalize the proper names. Between your illiterate nonsense and Prophetess's worship of government as the solution rather than the problem it has been for so long, I'm getting a kick out of you LIbEralS.
"The Republican plan will result in a debt $3.6 trillion less then the Democrats". So the Republicans are for big government and the Democrats are for bigger government. What a choice.
Obama has more intelligence in his pinky nail than all these racist hicks.

My favorite U.S. politician, along with Mark Sanford and Jim DeMint. An up and coming superhero, to be sure. :-)

What about Mitt Romney? Jim DeMint endorsed him and was reportedly his top-choice for VP, along with Judd Gregg.

The housing bubble started before 2006. It's the Bush administration to blame.
