James and I had to come back to listen to this great piece again. It's 11:20 P.M., but James just had to hear this one day to be classic before he went off to bed.
Hey Brian. Love this! Sent a comment and favd a few days ago but it showed up in my subscriptions again? Anyhow, just wanted you to know I'm tuned in and really though this was great!
A very apt title for such a great lyricist as yourself. Did you also get the acoustics sorted out in your new room because the sound is really good :)
Fantastic lyrics Brian its like something you would expect to hear from one of the greats! You have so many good lines in there man. Is it really still a work in progress? First class
hi brian!! i love this song. i have been on and off of youtube lately. but it's great to come back and see you on here. i hope you are doing well, my friend. and hope you have a happy holiday! hugs, Aileen
A very apt title for this song Brian. I've got to be honest, after reading the lyrics I almost didn't want to hear the song in case it was a let down. (Does that make sense? I hope so!)
However, the whole is as great as the parts. The folk-rockish flavour works fantastically. I can definately hear this in a fuller production.
I really liked it. I can hear it done up maybe a little more celtic with some drums and fiddles (or rock it like Tull with flutes and guitars and keyboards). A complex and mysterious tale in any event and a damn fine tune. Well done!
I really think this is something else...in a good way :) I love how you tell such a detailed story with your songs...it's rather amazing that you can weave all those words around a melody and create a song that is beautiful, yet very powerful, too.
Mesmerizing! You are a great storyteller-through-music (you must have been a travelling minstrel in a past life!) Five stars and adding to my favourites.
briliant love the melody , sentiment and words of this tune

Fascinating song, Brian. I was completely drawn in by the lyrics and the story. As always your vocals are crisp and ever so enjoyable to the ear.
These last two songs of yours really show your versatility as a songwriter.
