just did my census, put # of people down then put my # so they can call me with their confused ?s about why I wrote "REFUSED UNDER ART. 1 SECT. 2 OF CONSTITUTION", this is only a count they don't need my name or gender or other personal information. It says in mailer that info will not be used for statistical figures, why else would you ask race for???

@swu880 the census is completely constitutional....the only thing wrong with it is that it is way to invasive with all the questions. The only thing they need to know is how many people live there.  I told the census worker who came to my door that 2 people lived inside and that was all I wanted to tell him. He did not pry any further. In this economy, I don't really blame people for taking what they can get to make some money. The government would just hire someone else anyway.

You need to look up the term accountability. cuz apparently u never heard it. The concept is very very simple- keep things accountable. That which should be public is kept public. That which is private is kept private. The very moment this balance is lost, we have corruption, tyranny & abuse of power. ie- Public officials holding power entrusted to them by the public acting on private self interests is not held accountable by the public which they serve

I refused to answer... they told me the US Constitution was superceeded with "the law" I laughed and demanded to have them and their supervisor tell me the law I was breaking, and they insisted I had to answer the questions, I refused and they said back then it was a fine of 500 bucks andf I said fine, mail it to me but I'll never pay.... they were after me for months and months and months to no avail... they even called my home and cell phone, but where did they get my number ??????????????

Whom does the law require to fill out the form and who is actually within the UNITED STATES? Also when no one had been living there, ZERO must be an appropriate answer and even when you do live there, on April 1, if you were not sleeping there, I believe ZERO is also a good answer, and truthful.

If you don't comply with the census they can issue a fine up to 5000 dollars. Where is that law and why is that constitutional. In order to issue a fine wouldn't someone have to have broken a law? What law requires people to answer the questions of a census?

When the constitution was written, there was no other means of determining how many people lived in each state..shouldn't we just scrap the whole program as an enormous waste of money at this point? Amend the constitution and introduce an alternative means of determining Congressional representation, from some of the other data we would already have available..like DMV data, or state income tax data, etc.?
