Remember, not all straight people are die-hard Christians/Catholics. I don't necessarily have a religion anymore, I used to be Christian. Luckily, the people that went to my church didn't judge others. Most of them wanted to spread the word of Christ as it was correctly meant to be, with love to give to all, even the LGBT community.

It brought him a lot of difficulty at that point in history.

@FooniTV As a religious person, it really bothers me that a few lines from a book I love are used, sometimes in mistranslated form and nearly always out of context, to say that people are damned, when damnation itself is a much later concept. And don't pick and choose. Sodomy was not as serious a crime as breaking the Sabbath; are they going after people who work on Sundays next? I think most of these people skimmed the Book until they found something they could use.
