What a wonderful clip, and a wonderful man. I had no idea he spoke German until I saw this. And he is so modest - "ein bisschen Deutsch" indeed! He handles the interview perfectly - even parrying the interviewers poor attempts at humour.

He knows his numbers and countries but he is far from fluent in German. Given his limitation with the language, it was brave of him to agree to be interviewed like this, albeit having had several simple questions repeated.

Quite interesting, the first time I watched this (about a year ago) I couldn't understand a single bit what they were saying. But now when I watched this again, I actually understood almost everything. And I have studied German for only a year and a half. (Or maybe I have watched too much Kommissar Rex lately... re-runs in Finland, oh yeah)

And oh my God, Christopher speaks awesome German! (I mean, Michael Fassbender totally failed his German in Inglourious Basterds, but Christopher... bravo!)

Der Film wurde 1983 fertiggestellt und lief im Februar 1984 in Deutschland an. 1983 war Lee in Sachen "Letztes Einhorn" bei uns unterwegs und hat sich damit für seine Synchro-Sachen enpfohlen. Also: ja, ich bin sicher, und bloß zu faul, den genauen Tag nachzugucken. ;)

Ich bin ein großer Fan von Christopher Lee und gäbe alles wenn ich ihn einmal treffen, ihm die Hand drücken und ein paar Minuten mit ihm sprechen könnte! Er steht mit über 300 Filmen im Guinnesbuch und an seine Ausdruckskraft, sein Charisma reicht niemand heran! Beinahe hätte ich es Hayden Christensen übel genommen, daß er ihn in EPISODE III geköpft hat! Ich hoffe ehrlich, daß ich Christopher Lee noch einmal treffen kann!
