use a quarter of a million dollar boat to praticly back stab a bear just getting a fucking drink of water. I mean, I dont mind hunting at all. I hunt in Alaska every year cause I live here. These jokers probly dont live here. If they do, its Anchorage no doubt. At least give the animal a damn sporting chance. At least try to earn the kill, instead of using fucking boats ( and others, planes or helicopters).
They are very old style people they built there own houses out of wood, they hunt for food, the only thing they don't do is make their own milk (yukkk), they also make clothing out of bear skins. but they also have big tvs, nice trucks ect...
i class myself as a hunter myself. on much smaller game than this. i have never had the chance to shoot a caribou or dall sheep or anything like that because i live in the uk. but given the chance i dont think i would shoot a bear. and its mainly because i tend not to shoot predatory animals.( i have shot the odd pest fox). i was just wondering why it is you shoot bears in the US. is it mainly for sport? what sort of numbers are there of bears left. maybe you can sway me towards bear huntin
there are plenty of bears. actually in some areas black bears are a nuisance they lose most fear of humans and come raid your garbage cans much like a raven. this is in the citys but even still out in the remote areas there is still a healthy population of bears.
My husband and I hunt near the Sierra mountains, and we usually see lots of deer. Well the past couple years... no deer. Only lots and lots of bears. Every corner we turn! So bear tags were in order this year.
In Alaska its a law you have to salvage all edible meat from game animals.... they will cut yer balls off if you get caught bringing out antlers, horns etc with no meat.
Here in AK we call that 'beach cruising'. Certainly not 'World Class Hunting'!

I'm ok with hunting bears who start going into the city, but why would you kill a bear in the wild??
