every consol has something wrong with it. you cant have a perfect consol >=/. but the ps3 has more stuff wrong with it than other consols from what i hear. my xbox has served me well and never overheats or scratches disks. btw after microsoft found out that the red ring of death was a major problem they fixed it so nao all new xboxs on the market are rrod free.
I'm not sure... The PS2 really had no problems to me. It's graphics were great for it's release date, and it was the best game console I've ever owned.
I think the PS3 has the potential to be perfect because anything people don't like about it can be fixed by a software update. The 360 has hardware issues, and those aren't so easily fixed.

That's a dumb thing to say concidering that the 20GB and 60GB versions of the PS3 played all PS1 and PS2 games...
It might be a valid opinion now that backwards compatibility has been scrapped, but if you have a backwards compatible versions of the PS3 it's much better than the PS2.
I find the PS2 to be better than the 40GB PS3 and better than the X-Box 360, and it's sales are still higher than both... o.O

I still consider the Wii to be the worst of the three consoles... That's an opinion. I just do not like the Wii much. I see it like this:
PS4 (Won't Happen) - The PS3 can't really be improved. The only improvements will come from software or some new peripherals.
X-Box 720 (Maybe) - If an X-Box 720 comes out it will only be to fix the faulty hardware and it's graphics won't improve, and it will only really improve to a point where the only thing that makes it better is software.
Then there's the Wii... The Wii is the only machine that could be significantly improved by new hardware.
The PS3 is [for lack of a better word] a perfect machine. It doesn't need new hardware unless something crazy like virtual reality happens.
The X-Box 360 is equel in my mind for gaming, but needs to have hardware fixed so it can be on the "only improved by software" level that the PS3 is on..

I saw you talk about Blu-Ray like it was crap compared to regular DVD, and I started to correct you, and from there you thought I said it was perfect. Then you continued to bring up things such as sales and the trophy system. Then I was proving those wrong and it escalated from there.
I most certainly do not think it is "perfect," and I do have some personal frustrations with it, but that's why I said "potential."
In my price comparison I list the costs needed to make both consoles as close to equel to eachother. If you read further in that comparison you will see that the X-Box 360 is still more expensive.

Well... The PS3 has 50GB disks and can have a HDD as big as 320GB. This is why I said [Or maybe you said?] that the "average human being" may like either console's games better, but the PS3 user may also enjoy that extra space as you said.
I didn't mention trophies at all, but if you want to bring then up then I'll gladly discuss them... Though there isn't much to discuss.
The Trophy System is similar to the achievement system except trophies actually have a purpose. By earning trophies you can increase you level and supposedly unlock special items in Home when it's released.
PlayStation Edge will also be coming out, and will let you trade you trophies for discounts at the PlayStation Store.
Xbox 360 sucks. All it does is scratch discs, randomly overheat, and randomly get the red ring of death. Ps3 actually works like it's supposed to do. I mean the games on ps3 may not be as good. I cant say ps3 has better games because Fable 2 is coming out which will be pretty kickass because ive played Fable for xbox. And it rocked. I thought it would suck. But it was a 10 outta 10. Ok, if the 360 is such a 'shitty' system, then how come most the the top selling games have been 360 exclusive or sold most on the 360? I'll give sony MGS 4, but the Xbox has the Halo's, Gears of War, the Fable's, MASS EFFECT, ect. So the PS3 won with blue-ray. Big deal. I don't own an HD tv anyway, so I don't need B-R to begin with. It's great for games, and it doesn't just give movies better pictures and sounds. Movies on Blu-Ray also have greater functionality and content.
For games it gives developers more space to use on better pictures, better sounds, better Artificial Intelligence, more levels, more enemies, or whatever else they want...
Then on movies it allows for access to online content, more "behind the scenes" things, and it makes a movie more than a movie...
i'm not saying it's useless, I'm saying the PS3 fanboys just start these arguements and exagerate the Blu-ray disks "abilities" almost as much the 360 fans exagerated how Halo 3 would do.

Only own a PS3 and not a 360 but this song is actually pretty awesome. It's catchy, clever and tactful enough that you don't have to take it too seriously. Blu Ray is not needed for gaming idc what you say about its quality because it's barely better than HD and we wont be able to use the full capacity of Blu Ray discs for years ^_^

The way I see it you can get the PS3 which is a game console with great games or you can get the X-Box 360 which is a console with great games.
You will get great games no matter which one you buy, but the PS3 gives you more features that aren't related to gaming. So if you like those extra features, and I do, then the PS3 is better for you... Or in this case me. ^.^
Not to burn the PS3 but the only game I've enjoyed on it is MGS4 (an amazing game, by the way) but More people say Xbox is better for games, but Ps3 is overall better technology. I agree, but I prefer the 360 because I'm more of a gamer than much else.
My primary use for the PS3 just happens to be gaming, and it's my opinion that the PS3 has better games out or coming. And which games are better is solely a matter of opinion. The only reason more people say the X-Box 360 has better games is because there are that many more people that have it...

See dude, what you have to understand is that i started with xbox, both the original and then got the 360, i thought it was aight, but the game selection was kinda lame (see any parallels?). Xbox live too was ok, but the cost is just fuckin rediculous, esp if you simply cant play that much. And then i got ps3 and was like "wow, this is a lot more interesting and has more stuff to 'just screw around' with and its games at damn decent."
So basically my point is: dont make judgement like "ps3 flat out sucks" just because it rivals the systems you like and dont make rash accusations unless you actually play on both systems extensively (like owning them like i). I'm not sure... The PS2 really had no problems to me. It's graphics were great for it's release date, and it was the best game console I've ever owned.
I think the PS3 has the potential to be perfect because anything people don't like about it can be fixed by a software update. The 360 has hardware issues, and those aren't so easily fixed.
I don't know... Things seem to be getting much better. Trophies seem better than Home and more games will support them over time. Then there's Home...

That's a dumb thing to say concidering that the 20GB and 60GB versions of the PS3 played all PS1 and PS2 games...
It might be a valid opinion now that backwards compatibility has been scrapped, but if you have a backwards compatible versions of the PS3 it's much better than the PS2.
I find the PS2 to be better than the 40GB PS3 and better than the X-Box 360, and it's sales are still higher than both... o.O

I still consider the Wii to be the worst of the three consoles... That's an opinion. I just do not like the Wii much. I see it like this:
PS4 (Won't Happen) - The PS3 can't really be improved. The only improvements will come from software or some new peripherals.
X-Box 720 (Maybe) - If an X-Box 720 comes out it will only be to fix the faulty hardware and it's graphics won't improve, and it will only really improve to a point where the only thing that makes it better is software.

Then there's the Wii... The Wii is the only machine that could be significantly improved by new hardware.
The PS3 is [for lack of a better word] a perfect machine. It doesn't need new hardware unless something crazy like virtual reality happens.
The X-Box 360 is equel in my mind for gaming, but needs to have hardware fixed so it can be on the "only improved by software" level that the PS3 is on..
The Wii... I'm not a casual gamer, but I see it going insane on casual gaming.

Are you even reading my comments. From the beginning of this fight, I've been supporting the "none of the consoles are perfect" side. You then said that the Ps3 is and decided "hey, while I'm making the PS3 look good, might as well waste my time flaming it's main rival to see how many enemies I can make.

I saw you talk about Blu-Ray like it was crap compared to regular DVD, and I started to correct you, and from there you thought I said it was perfect. Then you continued to bring up things such as sales and the trophy system. Then I was proving those wrong and it escalated from there.
I most certainly do not think it is "perfect," and I do have some personal frustrations with it, but that's why I said "potential."

In my price comparison I list the costs needed to make both consoles as close to equel to eachother. If you read further in that comparison you will see that the X-Box 360 is still more expensive.

I didn't mention trophies at all, but if you want to bring then up then I'll gladly discuss them... Though there isn't much to discuss.
The Trophy System is similar to the achievement system except trophies actually have a purpose. By earning trophies you can increase you level and supposedly unlock special items in Home when it's released.
PlayStation Edge will also be coming out, and will let you trade you trophies for discounts at the PlayStation Store.

Xbox 360 sucks. All it does is scratch discs, randomly overheat, and randomly get the red ring of death. Ps3 actually works like it's supposed to do. I mean the games on ps3 may not be as good. I cant say ps3 has better games because Fable 2 is coming out which will be pretty kickass because ive played Fable for xbox. And it rocked. I thought it would suck. But it was a 10 outta 10. Fable 2 will be pretty amazing. But I dont want to play it on a shitty system. If xbox were good then i may get 1

Ok, if the 360 is such a 'shitty' system, then how come most the the top selling games have been 360 exclusive or sold most on the 360? I'll give sony MGS 4, but the Xbox has the Halo's, Gears of War, the Fable's, MASS EFFECT, ect. So the PS3 won with blue-ray. Big deal. I don't own an HD tv anyway, so I don't need B-R to begin with. And I think we are all still waiting for PlayStation Home. the 360 already has another version of Live on the way. I'm not bias, but it lookes like the Xbox won.

You can't really say Blu-Ray is useless...
It's great for games, and it doesn't just give movies better pictures and sounds. Movies on Blu-Ray also have greater functionality and content.
For games it gives developers more space to use on better pictures, better sounds, better Artificial Intelligence, more levels, more enemies, or whatever else they want...
Then on movies it allows for access to online content, more "behind the scenes" things, and it makes a movie more than a movie...

Well... If PS3 fanboys are saying that Blu-Ray gives game developers six times as much space to work with as DVD then they really aren't exagerating. Blu-Ray is quite a big deal...
In gaming Blu-Ray is a huge advantage, and in marketing Blu-Ray is a huge advantage because it's often the deciding factor between the two consoles.
I woul agree that they are wrong if they only say that the PS3 is better because it has Blu-Ray... There's a lot more to concider.

You're quite wrong if you say that Blu-Ray is slow... I've observed similar load times on both consoles, and similar load times on the PS2 aswell.
There is no credible source for the "Games are recopied multiple times to shorten load times." rumor. If you look it up you will only find forums. The same is true for "Blu-Ray is slow."

Metal Gear Solid 4 had a higher Press Average, and higher Reader Average than Halo 3 and one game doesn't make a console good anyway.

Only own a PS3 and not a 360 but this song is actually pretty awesome. It's catchy, clever and tactful enough that you don't have to take it too seriously. I still like my PS3 and I have a lot of fun with my friends on their 360s as well. Both are that much better than the Wii IMO, I just had to say that.

The way I see it you can get the PS3 which is a game console with great games or you can get the X-Box 360 which is a console with great games.
You will get great games no matter which one you buy, but the PS3 gives you more features that aren't related to gaming. So if you like those extra features, and I do, then the PS3 is better for you... Or in this case me. ^.^

See dude, what you have to understand is that i started with xbox, both the original and then got the 360, i thought it was aight, but the game selection was kinda lame (see any parallels?). Xbox live too was ok, but the cost is just fuckin rediculous, esp if you simply cant play that much. And then i got ps3 and was like "wow, this is a lot more interesting and has more stuff to 'just screw around' with and its games at damn decent."
