"notwithstanding lofty claims in the company's press release about creating the world's first commercial quantum computer, D-Wave Chief Executive Herb Martin emphasized that the machine is not a true quantum computer and is instead a kind of special-purpose machine that uses some quantum mechanics to solve problems."
be serious... this is a real quantum computer ?! I think these guys are to stupy to even udnerstand a quantum computer calculations at all... and the character o science is... no.. it couldn't be a real one
Amazing, I can't believe I see a QC running right now. Just so everyone knows, the reason it takes so long to solve it is because it needs to communicate between a server/db and the QC itself. I'm pretty sure that's the only bottleneck with this specific computer
Good lord, adbatstone either you're an angry competitor or an idiot, here are people showing you a QC running IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE and you dismiss it as shit. just go to their website. They plan to have 1K qubit QC in 2 years, with one main scientist saying 200QB alone is enough to overwhelm most supercomputers in the world.

@DigitalFumino Yeah, i bet it's just a super computer.

lol why does it say 'quantum computer running another app'? like the softw you see running is executed by a quantum computer -_-
REAL quantum computers don't get any further than calculating 3 * 5 = 15 (which has really been done).

We're fucked if the computer runs windows...

You mean the virtual space in our head, where we can creat phantasy worlds, creatures, and characters, and multiply them writing books, right?

What if our brain already is a quantum computer?
Depotmaster 4 years ago
And it is even more. Think about it. Or just study more quantum. You will find it :))))

HOAX
It's just been revealed as one. Just Google "Scientists Dubious of Quantum Computing Claims".

How long would the calculation have taken on, say, my Dell desktop?

About the same amount of time if not less

I agree..this is bullshit, and it will be a century before we see a decent quantum computer.

Thank you for your input.I did this video for the people that want to no about Quantum Computing. The race is on and LUXVIBES is on it!

1K qubit in two years?!!! Might as well contact Rael from Clonaid, maybe some of his alien buddies have access to the schematics for such a system.

Larger computers have applications in coporate and government espionage. You wouldn't be hearing about this if it had any chance of working.

I'm thinking more like 20 years

Too bad it takes longer to generate the database than to run it. lol

This is all very exciting, but I'm like to see the pricetag before I believe it's really commercially viable.
