Pelicans in Ocean Beach San Diego at the Pier

yesterday afternoon i saw a line of over 30 pelicans flying over the pier.

back in the winter there was a big group of them sitting on the beach which is pretty unusual. i was watching them from the pier and sure enough some stupid people went down there amongst them and they scattered and then left. dumb holes always have to mess things up.

once on the pier at one of the fish cleaning stations a guy was feeding fish scraps to a pelican standing right there on the rail.

they are really big!
