Yeah i got this phone last night (HIGHLEY RECOMENDED) all you have to do is open it like your going to text so the screen is on the top not the side and the letters light up in white. :D hope i helped!

By the way, you dont have to open the slide to dial a number. At the main menu, press the big middle silver button and you will see a number pad on the screen where you can scroll and press the numbers using your d pad. I will upload a video demo once I get mine replaced. I lost it

yeah, you must get a Micro SD card first, like at best buy. then use the adapter and put the songs that you want on the card. (the adapter comes with it) then just put the card in the little slot on the side of the phone.

ghostie blue, you can adjust that by going to your menu, settings, display, backlight and duration. I have mine on 7 seconds, and i also have power save mode turned on. it's great, and stays charged for a long time! hope that helped!!

alright question, i know that on the Slash if you turn the volume to silent it still plays certain sounds. Does the xtc do that?

well if you have the phone on silent it wouldn't play a ringtone or a text tone, but when you press the keys it will make a noise. Theres a separate setting on the phone that allows you to turn down the keys so you can't hear them. i hope that answers your question.

Yo Baddest chick. Download the opera mini 4.2 to your wild card. It's like having a full browser with ev-do speed.

Save mini opera com as a contact on your wildcard. Then click on the options to launch the browser.

no you can't record video on this phone. I don't think you can use the SD card to get free ringtones its primarily just to back up pictures from the phone and for music.

this is a great phone i like it better than the shuttle ..i only have 2 problems with it lol

the keyboard! ugh i have decent hands but it still feels a LIL bit uncomfortable,i think they coulda made it better....just my opinion..

and it sucks that when you slide open the phone you HAVE to txt only in landscape mode..the numbers have it set up like if you could use T9 but you cant :( ugh lol

lol there are 3 different theme colors, black, core (red) and neutral (gray). i can't figure out how to change the font color on the main screen to save my life lol. as of right now i don't think you can, i think its just white.

i really do like this phone. It's feels quality made and isnt a giant piece of plastic like the kyocera wildcard. The keys aren't plasticky and have a rubbery feel to them and the outer coating is very soft and smooth and doesnt give that cheap look. It's basically kyoceras american version of the LG Rumour which is available for canadian customers. Not a bad thing I just wish that Virgin Mobile would bring more LG phones to the US.

Thanks for the review. I have the shuttle and am thinking about switching to this one. I had a couple of questions and If you already answered them I apologize in advance. First, does this phone have a speaker feature for the MP3 player. Second, are the buttons on the front just beneath the screen really sensitive to touch? I hate this about the shuttle because they make me ignore incoming calls all the time by mistake even when I set the sensitivity to low. Lastly, where did ya buy it?

you can record voice memos and save them to your phone, however you cannot set the memo as your ringtone unfortunately
