  • garbage

  • the badass brass ruled!!!

  • This song brings back memories for me. I just moved to da burgh and was in Chef's school and when I wasn't I watched MTV 24/7!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This isn't really hair metal, it's in the same vein as Faith No More

  • "Walkin' through the ghetto..." Come on man, seriously? The closest this guy ever came to the ghetto was saying the word, "nigger".

  • @HateDisease Really ? They from Queens NY , obviously you've never been.

  • @john69jets Fresh Medows does not a ghetto make.

  • @HateDisease So you have been , im not sure he is from Fresh Meadows but even if he is it's still Queens and you dont need travel too far outside the Meadows to find a "ghetto". Now i dont know about "walking" though, tried that through Jamaica once not the best way to do it ....

  • Never met the rest of the band but Aaron, Ethan and Terry I hope you are all doing well and still Jammin' - Used to Love watching you guys perform with Ron.

  • If you don't like this, there can only be 3 reasons. 1: You do but don't want to admit it. 2: You have no taste in music and no life. 3: You're jealous that you can't make music like these guys.

  • fishbone blows these jokers away. white trash = poo

  • Great band. The first album is killer. The second one was pretty good too. Dave Alvin, such a cool vocalist. Thanks for posting.

  • This is garbage

  • @HomleandSecurity I believe you mean White 'Trash' good sir/madam.

  • i didnt hear about this band, when i found their only 2 albums in some 2nd hand music store and bought them for like 5$ each round 10 years ago.

I felt like i found a treasure - best buy ever!!

I love em so much!!! Please come back! please?

  • my girl tastes like veggie pot pie.

  • :0)

  • Is he the young miles Kennedy.?

  • Heard this song on the radio and looked it up just to say how much it sucks.

  • @pf008 You have ears enough to dig Dave must. but can't appreciate this? Dude... this lp/cd is nuts. How could you miss it? True "Glee Club" my generation style I guess.... ;)

  • Just remember the hook for this song being soooo fn good.

  • Alot of people don't realize this was a dead zone for music in the time frame. MTV was desperate to leave the 80's behind. We hadn't found Nirvana, but yet we haven't yet heard the latest Guns. White trash was an intermediary. Unfortunately they were about having fun with love, where the music scene to dominate was about being depressed and drug addled. I rocked out to this song just about as much as "My Michele."

  • This song would kick my ass after school! God bless old MTV.

  • i need this for my itunes plz help!! :-)

  • I'm finding that my remembering of things is better than they actually were.

  • love this song but April isn't a season lol

  • Take this for what it is / was, just a good fun song, period

  • Way under rated!

  • good song ga dancing though . i lookd his up cause i just found i on an old tape from 98 rock with the cruiser so i knew it was from about 90

  • finally, i found this video, i have a faint remembrance of this as a cool video and song, now i look at it 20 years later, and daaamn, it is the worst shit of that age.

  • Thank you for putting this up!!

  • One of the greatest albums of all time. It's a crime this band wasn't huge.

  • I actually dug this cassette out tonight and listened to it. It's just as good now as it was when it was practically 20 yrs ago. The problem is, they are NOT and never were a hair band, metal band, or any of those horrible classificatons. But MTV had no idea what to do with them, so they called them "metal". They were more funk/ska than metal. Listen to "the crawl", thats not metal, thats just good old funk.

  • @kidvishus they defied classifications but those who know them love them

  • omg I have been looking for this song for like two decades??? something like that yay!

  • @c3smom You must be about my age because I've totally been looking for this song for decades!

  • @siouxxC yeh i love them i have to revisit then dang they rock horns and hair and i wish they were still together cuz they'd still be good

  • go get what you deserve

  • @222Lightning don't erase your comment !!! Actually I owe you an apology...I just saw Justin Lieber on a music book at BOOKSAMILLION. I did not know who he was. I thought you were insulting the singer or drummer as being to girly and that you were a woman. My bad it was late. About being alone.....I hear your point but I like being alone. I get clarity that way.......with my art music and with the tornado of my past.

  • Two things: the pictures of the guys outside in the elements of NY in the cassette made me want to go live with my Father in Boston instead of the sucky south! The guitar part in this song is amazing after all this time.

  • @swine19

It is. The album version is a little faster and "tighter". This is more of a live version.

  • they were a bit before their time- cause right then Kurt Cobain killed all hairbands. If this Baind came out now doing the same instrumentals/ same Vox theyd hit hard!

  • Holy crap...Haven't heard this in forever!

  • At least sirius/xm satalite radio plays this song. Thats pretty cool of them to do so.

  • Nice...saw them in a local club in Queens, NY (on Bell Blvd)...they blew my friend's band away...Shame competion is so fierce in the music industry where great bands don't make it. It doens't help that promoters are pushing trash today. Brainwashing our kids with crap.

I was so proud today!!! I asked my 10 year old son, who plays the drums, if he liked Justin Bieber. He said, without any influence from me, "No". When I asked why he said "he is too girlie". I responded "very good".

  • @mgpvii I saw them live too,they did a tight show :)

  • @mgpvii so you teach your kid to do what you do ? Too judge a man by everything but the content of their character. I bet your like one of these housewives who point the finger at some guy who lives on your street and minds his own business but he drives a pick-up truck is kind of wimpy so he must be a some deviant or something. I see thru people like you and your male postering men that you attract. I'm not a baboon are you?

  • @222Lightning hahah...that is pretty funny. I see thru people like you also. You are one of these people who thinks they are some sort of intellectual but in fact are actually clueless and usually wind up living their lives alone. Peace!

  • I worked at Subway in the 90's (long hair and all). Every night after close, I would take my FREE footlong Steak and Cheese home, eat it on the couch, and this video would be on MTV. Cool memories.

  • this is NOT ska you stupid idiot....it's funky rock

  • why can't you get this on itunes?

  • Band geeks meet metal! Yeah!

  • Not a hair band you tards... early SKA

  • Not a hair band you tards.. early Ska

  • i saw them live in the early 90's.. it was them, the mighty boztones, and scatterbrains,.. it was AMAZING! this was when music was cool! and i still have my cassette !

  • Early 90's excellence!

  • OMG I love this song. It has been years since I have seen this video what a gem.

  • Oh, wow. I was starting to think I had made this entire album up because I've yet to meet anyone who remembers the band. Such a fun album. Thanks so much for posting. I managed to lose my copy and it's one I always hope to stumble on some day.

    "and before I could think

I'd spilled my own brand of ink

    onto a paper with a dotted li-ine"

Ah yes, they don't write 'em like that any more.....

    heh heh

  • @loopster100 me too loopster!...everyone I ever asked about White Trash didnt have a clue. LOVE those fukkin horns!

  • LOL! I still have their tape!

  • Note to 21st-Century "rock" bands: you CAN have a good time WHILE 'expressing yourself' musically. It's OKAY. You don't have to be downtrodden Neanderthals stuck in 'dropped D' or whiny little bitches with 'swoop' 'dos. Or is that what the labels insist on in ClearChannel Nation these days?? P.S. Great song, great memories, wish it was on iTunes.

  • ditto!!! @brianwurst1234

  • great song you got to give these guyys credit to have the balls they did to come out with something so different instead of copying everyone else

  • I own this CD because of this song. This was obviously before I tunes or Napster.

  • Unfortunately these guys were 16 years too early. "FOXY SHAZAM" (the biggest new band right now) are a band bringing this rock/horns/anthemic sound back into vogue in 2010. This proves talent is not enough. Timing is important too.

  • I wouldnt call them a hairband. No where near that.

This was a damn good album, I still listen to it once or twice a year.

I think if they would have come out in the mid 90s they would have been a bigger success.

  • my band opened for these guys. They didn't have any brass.

  • @AzzyWynn perhaps not the night you opened for them but i knew the band and they most certainly had brass.

  • What Hubbard was getting at with this statement is one of the foundational ideas in epistemology: that what you observe with your own senses is undeniable. For example if you see something red you cannot deny that you saw something red.

It may have been an illusion or hallucination, but the sensation of redness cannot be denied.

This idea is limited though to things directly observed, and does not apply to beliefs. It does not mean that believing something makes it true.

  • Lol... 0:58 grown men skipping... just observing, not making fun >.>

I wish indoorgames would post the lyrics in his info..? I cant catch them all :( Or ANYONE send them to me...

Custard Pie still beats this AND Cherry Pie with hands tied behind its back, but its definitely catchy.

  • When it 1st came out it was a cool tune. They blended metal ,grunge, cool horns,& little rapping & good hook

  • I couldn't remember if I'd really heard this song or imagined it somehow. It's a cool tune - very original. I'm glad these guys are back together, let's hope they can do it again.

  • yeah right dude, no ska band in there right minds would play with sick metal dudes like some of these guys.

  • i loved this band i wish band made more stuff it better than a lot of crap they make today.

  • So who are these chicks?

  • No way... If they walked through the ghetto with those hairdos, they never would have survived to record this song...

  • It sounds like most of the people in this thread weren't even born yet when this song was out. It's almost twenty years ago kids....and uhhh...that singer isn't so adorable anymore.

  • Bangles!!!!Glendale, colorado back in the day omg!!!!!

  • I'm gonna take a wild guess they haven't walked through many ghettos, contrary to the lyrics

  • I cannot help how much I love this. That singer is just fucking adorable on top of it.

  • awesome, they are come back!!!!!! i love this music .....is adrenalinic0!!!!!

  • Awesome song! I made our band cover this years ago...our drummer got so mad at me for making us play this over & over. He told someone that I was going to have a drumstick stuck in the back of my head the next time I made him play it :)

  • He looks like one of the Hanson brothers lol

  • I remember MTV pushing this hard in the early 90's. I don't think the album sold that well but I bought it :)

  • @zmbdog Remember the song Hat Trick? In hockey getting three goals is called a hat trick. The song talks about the hat trick as getting laid 3 times at one event. Eventually in the song he has run out of luck and is now going for the fat trick

  • My band opened for these guys years ago. I ate the fried chicken the bar provided them because their singer was a cocky dick. Also if he is 5'3" i would be shocked. I should have beat his ass.

  • good band i remember them...

  • eardrums pierced seriously thats lame

  • Hey caira1977,since Dave Alvin is your friend maybe you can find out when they're gonna make a new CD.That'd be really cool.

  • i like penis

  • this band is able to give everything you can ask to the music... mix of funky, rock & jazz! Dave Alvin the lead singer is a great author and singer!

  • I think you might have this Dave Alvin confused with the Dave Alvin from X. (As far as being an author goes. Maybe I'm wrong.)

  • oh no,no, I know Dave Alvin, he's my friend, and he's the lead singer of White Trash|

  • I guess you have the edge there. :)

  • your friends suck dicks

  • @mynameisgodihateyou

Yeah, they said you taught them. Oh yeah, and my name is Diablo, so take that dick out of your mouth so I can watch you eat shit.

  • !!!! come tuesday!!!

  • I prefer Cherry Pie plz.

  • love it

  • This makes me smile :)

  • i remember this video totally. from the summer of 1991 on MTV. i was about to into high school. sooooooooooo long ago!!

  • OMG I thought this was lost forever. THANKS!!!

  • @brianwurst1234 ...NO SHIT...I totally wore out this cd back in the day and nobody knows what the fuck I'm talking about!

  • Comment removed

  • Heard this today on sirius channel 23 and now I love it! I love the hook starting at 1:20 and the speed up at the end.

  • Comment removed

  • what a chorus!

  • Thanks for putting this up...

This is one of those songs that when I play it when i deejay, someone says "holy $@&*, I totally forgot about this song!"

    I love that feeling

  • damn straight

  • Imagine how far these guys might've made it if Cobain and Co hadn't come along.

  • I wish I could find my copy of this CD.

  • Totally remember this!!

  • heh! what a jammin' tune!

  • I love the speeded up mosh sequence at the end.... kinda reminds me of the end of Paradise City

  • I reaaly like this band. They released a second cd called Si o si que which is good too

  • I never heard of this band until I heard them on music choice: arena rock. At first I thought it was Mark Slaughter singing. This song is now a favorite of mine.

  • I lost my copy. Have the case but can't find the CD, wish I could find a replacement.

  • Damn, I love this song! This version is different than the album version. I could never find this version anywhere. Anyone know if this version was ever released besides in this video?

  • No, just in this vid...

They just released a new CD tho...

  • Ever hear the first CD from No Doubt? This is exactly the same ska style music.

  • I think they were doing the video live cuz this sounds totally different than what's on the album.

  • guys im serious, my mom was even one of mike's best friends!

  • and my friend is the cousin of the lead singer of tokio hotel lol noting special.

  • holy crap my mom was in the drummer's 2nd grade class!

  • I bought this album cassette in September 1991, when I first heard the song. I was waiting tables in Myrtle Beach SC.

  • I remeber this & liked it alot of people did at the time I guess because they

    were different

  • ebay or amazon man = )

  • This is great

Anyone know when it came out?

  • it was like late 91 possibly 92

truely funky, the rest of the album is ok, apple pie and the crawl are the highlights of the album for sure. they had a followup record but it didnt do well at all.

  • 90 or 92 ?

  • 91 for sure.

  • "Dig"

  • Rumour has it that @ 2:32 the lead axe player was in 976- Evil and went to gay porn for many years and now is back into horror movies.

  • No, you're probably thinking of Stephen Geophreys who played Evil in Fright Night. Pretty sure he isn't the guitarist in this band.

  • I never consider them a hair band myself my dad was a fan of them he seen them in concert. you can see more of there videos at vh1 artist

  • I thought about this song the other...OMG...i thought the singer was hot back when they were first out

  • oh GOOD GOD, I forgot about this band!..havent heard this since i was like 14!!..youtube kicks ass sometimes!!...

  • What in the hell happened to this great band? They put on one of the best shows I had ever seen. I just dug out their CD the other day-what a great piece of work! Thanks for the post!

  • This is a different version than the one on the CD. The CD version is much more cleaned upa bnd produced, but sounds flawless. Great jam either way. Lots of talent.

  • Throughout this whole song I never stop smiling. It's so great

  • cool classic rock funk song from 90s white trash man old times from my country peru lima they put the video on 33 channel jejeje.the crawl another one.

  • lmao. It took me a while to remember this band I know the song though. But when I did I couldn't resist looking it up and watching... --sighs memories--

  • Funny...the audio on this video is different than the album version.

  • Exelente, Busqué este video ppor mucho tiempo.
