I must say that I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT AGREE with this video... I bought an ionic foot detox system from MAXDETOX on Ebay. It's 12 volts and let me tell you... I love this thing. I have a clogged lymph system and can't touch parts of my legs without it hurting. I use the MAXDETOX foot bath and I can feel the draw / pulling sensation in my legs and then in my arms. I used it for about 2 weeks and I could touch my legs without all the pain. Link Below : )
I am one of the victims:) We pay 30AUD here in Sydney but you need to go 5 times to "be effective".. I went 3 times:) Stupid me. Should I cancel the last 2 sessions or support local market?:))
Let's see...When the American Cancer Society formed, one out of 33 people developed cancer. NOW it's one out of less than 3 get cancer...Great bang up Job American Cancer Society you pieces of lying crap. DO NOT send donations to these corporate shills just to line their own pockets.
If anyone wants the best effects from electricity then buy a Beck blood electrifier for $150. A slight stimulation from this foot bath thingie is not worth the money they charge. Blood electrification stops all virus and kills all bacteria in the blood. With larger electrodes you can also treat infected areas other than the blood. Look at my "Electromedicine History" video.
Tell you what though: Having a warm footbath 3 times a week, a hot long bath, even better, a sauna, helps your metabolism, gets rid of exess dead skin and water (bloatedness), increases your circulation. You may also lose a little weight too due to these factors. No magic, no electrolasys, just helathy. Stay away from the toxins in your diet and environment, that's how you'll stay healthy.
Electolasys is fairly harmless in a tiny area, say a hairfollicle. Electrolasys through your body: Yeiks!
the electric current (the carrot has a high content of water just like the human body) one could also use metal and is submerged in the water, connected to the electric band. The object is of lesser importance if any at all, same with the water. Of course, if you use water with lots of chemicals or heavy metals in it it may influence the corrosion, but nothing is being "drawn" from the carrot LOL! At this rate the chinese are sure to eat americans for breakfast and fast! The commentary here :-D
One of the important issues to get the right coloreffect in a pottery or china glaze, is the amount of oxygen in the environment of the kiln, which changes over time as the chemical reactions influence this. This is tackled in different ways, the chinese were doing this back in the ming dynasty LOL! Today the equippment is modern and very effective. The important thing in this specific case of the foorbath-hoax is that the object in the water is of lesser importance. As long as it conducts
@Gnarbel yes Gnarbel there is iron in the detox bath machine and that is what causes some of the orange and black color. depending on wether it oxidizes to for Iron III Oxide Fe2O3 which is orange or Iron II Oxide which is black and that is what we see in the bottom of the bucket. BUT, that again i repeat myself does not prove that it does not work. This whole thing reminds me of the salem witch trials or Communist hunts, but instead turned to scam trials. Based on conjecture and not evidence.
All this stupidity is due to lack of common education in basic natural sciences. It's an antique method of metal corrosion, as in chemistry. It might interest you to know that this is exactly how iron glazes are created in a potterykiln. You can get anything from deep chinese oxblood glaze, over orange and brown, blackspeckled or green glazes with great effects that make you pottery or china quite beatuiful, once you learn the chemistry and how to controll,ie "freeze" the chemical process .
Thank you for supporting me TheHampdenRaven. I say that because all that you have to say is personal attacks wich proves that you have no actuall disproof and nothing against what I am saying. Not to mention none of your personal attacks have anything to prove anyway. So in other words you have nothing but bias.
Besides I have scientific evidence that it does work and there is more out there. Not based on color change but on blood tests. It removed almost all the heavy metals from my body in a month (10 detoxes).
Don't Listen to Jbozz21 he is just more proof that this shit is a scam/ripoff., First off He is from Mesa, AZ and only 22 years of age. Now for some reason or another this dude decided to join you tube a month ago on January 11, 2010 oddly enough making his first post ..Yep, thats right! Here! Hes arguing that this product works saying he has blood test, but of course we just got to take his word on that, right!? After His first 3 post here, Guess what? He disappeared, not to sign back in agan
So apparently if you believe that this is a hoax based on the color change is just stupid., But apparently we are dealing with a moron. I would say it would be easy to say that MR Jbozz21 works for the company the produces the ionic detox, considering he claims he has blood test & so much, much more Btw its been known for some time now that this product is nothing but a scam, look it up for your self! But then again apparently there is one person out of everyone else saying its not a scam. right
@TheHampdenRaven just because I defend it, does not mean I work for the company. I believe in natural therapies, and helping people. This works I have used it. And I want other people to be helped from it too. I wanted to see for myself if it worked, I was skeptical at first. That is why I got the blood tests. And it worked. And I don't want your negative bias to influence them.
I am sorry but this guy is saying that just because the colors are the same that that is "proof" that it doesn't work. That is not proof. Anybody that believes that it is a hoax based on the color change is just as "stupid" as anybody that believes this thing is true because of the color change.
Thank you for your clear demonstration of this scam. It's troubling that the hucksters who are marketing these fraudulent contraptions are taking advantage of people who are truly seeking help with their symptoms.
Thank you for saving me 1500$! I had a session at LA County Fair, and was thinking about buying this gadget, because it supposed to cure whole bunch of aches and pains and prevent cancer...But I did feel better after the session, may be low-frequency electric current is just good for my body - I have read some channeled material on Atlantean medicine, and they used electricity for healing..i.I am still thinking about buying ionic foot bath - just a cheap 199$ one from some web-site...
this thing and many of the same ilk will not CURE anything!! However I also feel better after soaking my feet in a bath for a half an hour, you can get the same benefits from your own bathtub,,, don't be distracted or hoodwinked by the electricity...take a warm bath, walk barefoot in the grass, call your mom and tell her you love her, buy a bum a meal. These will do more for your health than any machine and save you aome money to boot. thanks for watching

thanks for the imput...good point about the Cl-. , though I doubt they used these in the 19th centtury. there was plenty of other snake oil formulas to scam folks out of hard earned money.
This stupid machine is actually quite unhealthy. The salt (NaCl) is dissolved into free ions (Ca+ and Cl-) when poured into the water. The cathode of the electrolysis "array" captures the negative charge (electrons) from the Cl- ions which can then escape as free chlorine gas. That would be the bubbles coming up from the bath. I would not even like to inhale the air in the same apartment as someone using this 19th-century quackster.
Search electrolysis of water, osmosis and free radicals in google and you will understand what happen with this machines, so you can decide with all the information and not only with the thoughts of other people.
first of all this is not a treatment...unless you are treating yourselves to their hard earned money. 100% of the stuff in the water is not from the person, it is from the array, it is iron sulfate. it is quie simple...quit taking other peoples money for this scam!!!
Bernardo, it was written in the Amer. Cancer Society bylines in 1962, the day a cure for cancer is found the ACS must disban. The creator of this video has done nothing more than reveal his utter ignorance. His reasoning and logic are faulty, his little experiment is grossly flawed, and his conclusions are ridiculous. You can get fresh carrots to turn the water orange just by leaving them in a glass pan for a half hour. How does that explain the fact the people get different coloration as well as odors in the water. It is true that some of the color change does come from electrolytic processes but most is from body.
If you would bother to do your own research, rather than assume you are right, you would find that your conclusion is ridiculous itself. A British doctor had an analysis done of the water before and after the "detoxification", and found that there were no toxins in either of the samples. I don't know why he used a carrot, but you would find that you get the same color even without anything in there.
Thanks to you I have changed my mind about buyng a foot bath. I had an idea it was too good to be true but seeing your video affirmed my suspicions. It is a shame that people get away with selling hoaxes and the FDA is not going after these companies. So, again, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
I was a first time user yesterday at a health food store. The lady did say ahead of time the water will change color quickly and dirty orange, because of the chlorine in the tap water. Why people don't think to use purified water. I have to admit it's a difference I do use a foot rejuvenator, but it doesn't pull ions out of your body. I really don't like the idea that you have to add salt. The body already carries a certain percentage of salt. I'm sure it will not look that dirty.
Thank you so much for your video. I have a friend that was wondering about this process and you certainly answered our questions and we have more money in our pockets! I can't believe how the people that promote this product can live with themselves!!!
My mother in law used it and one like lipoma to her back about 12x2cm were left the half with one time. She was slept very well. My father he used once, he slept and when he wakes up he stretch hes hands and doesn feel pain. And we have different colours in ion spa. What do you say about it?
One more thing.I make an array from galvanised wire (same volts, same Amp) and the water stays clean after 30 minutes. But it came up only some slime. It works the same with the array from stainless steel.
1ladolcevita1, I commend you for not only having the integrity to put pride aside and admit that you were duped into buying this machine, but for taking the time to make these videos in hopes of educating people not to make the same mistake! Everyone should watch all parts to this demonstration.
This process (electrolysis) is also used by people who sell water purification systems, using it to excite pollutants then "purify" the water to show how well it filters out bad "toxins". Junk Science!
Thanks for the video! I have tried to find research/reviews on the ionic detox and have come-up with almost nothing(except for ol' fashion sales pitch). I knew it was to good to be true. Thanks for saving my pocket book!

Important is the physiological effects on/in the patient and
their subsequent detox reactions over the next 24-48 hrs after treatment.
AND, we tell each patient that about 40% of what they see in the water is
NOT from them - it's from the impurities in the tap water, the plastics in
the bag, the salt oxidizing w/ the water, the metal/plastics in the array,
etc. But, that means that as much as 60% IS from them.

Thanks for exposing this hoax. Sorry the carrot had to die though. But it was worth it.

Thanks for the video! I have tried to find research/reviews on the ionic detox and have come-up with almost nothing(except for ol' fashion sales pitch). I knew it was to good to be true. Thanks for saving my pocket book!
