@doyouhearmeihearyou Yeah, that was a pretty cool guitar, I actually wound up selling it to finance another guitar. You wish you could keep them all, but I would run out of storage space pretty quick...lol. Glad you enjoyed it. I wound up with a natural top OM-18V, check out my video of a tune called "McGuire's Landing" and see if you think the new one is as cool as the old one.
Thanks so much for the kind words. I tend to like the OM/000 models, but the 00's are cool too. You can't go wrong with either one. The song was written by Pat Kirtley, he is one of my favorite guitar players. I wish he'd do another CD.
Hey, this is a great song. you play it so well. i am going to be a uncle soon so i was wondering if i could get the tabs off of you so i could play it for my nephew?
Hey Caleb. Thanks for the kind words. Congratulations on becoming an uncle. Now the bad news, I don't actually have a tab of this I can send you, but Pat Kirtley has it all set up to send if you email him directly. Send me a message and I can give you his email address or look him up on Myspace. Thanks for the interest.
That was great, great playing and a great sound. What is the Guitar? looks like a Martin OM? You'd be welcome at our Folk Club anytime. Thanks..........Al
Hey Al, thanks for the kind words and for stopping by to listen. The guitar is a Martin OM-18V in sunburst. Thanks for the invite, where is your folk club, I'm in Boulder, Colorado.
Lol!! we're in Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham, UK...But you're still welcome. Great guitar that, beautifully played. Look up the Candlelite folk Club on Youtube. I'm on there playing an OM 21. bfn.
this song reminds me of my great grandad who passed away june 5,2009 i love this song it suited him soooooo well he will be greatly missed and thank you 4 posting this i love both of yall thank yoooooou soooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!
Hey Ray. Sorry to hear about your loss. I hope this tune can provide a bit of comfort to you. It's very special little tune for a number of different reasons. Thanks for the kind words and the comment and you are more than welcome. I hope it helps with the healing and remembrance.
This is absolutely wonderful... I've been trying to figure this tune out for a long time now... Do you have any advice on learning this tab for a fellow pat kirtley fan???
Thanks for the kind words, and taking the time to both watch and leave a comment on this video. I have to confess, it took me about 5 months to get this song up and running. My advice would be start real slow, figure out how you are going to fret everything and then start putting it together. I found that parts A and C are easier than B. Listen to how Pat K. plays it, and listen to it a lot, that will help your phrasing.
Finally...someone on Youtube who has real talent to share and who even has a nice proper "info" box with enough words to really summarize the video for us. Thanks for being one of those who I can actually respect on Youtube.
Wow, thanks so much for the kind words. I have often wondered if anyone read the info box, so it's really gratifying to know that someone does. I think folks should have some background about the tunes and know where they came from. I hope you are enjoying the videos and I will try to get a few more up in the near future. Thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment.
this was very well done .. i love this tune ... it's a really pretty song ... would you be able to make a tab for it? or tell me where you got it? that would be much appreciated, thanks a lot! byee ... keep posting

Whoa, more great playing, awesome song, and that guitar sounds fantastic. If I weren't so set on an 00, I might rethink a little!
