Cobra's main purpose is to protect the crew from landmines and IEDs and it has proven its battle-worthiness and reliability in both Georgia and Turkey.Thousands of BMP-1&2 junk ( russian vehicles can be considered coffins on wheels LOL) were totally destroyed in Iraq war, Afghanistan and in many other conflicts.

Cobra is basically an armored car and it does not fall into the IFV category. So it's not surprising that its armor can not withstand 30mm rounds as 30mm is a big caliber. On the other hand BMP-1&2 junk sucks as any other russian equipment. It's shortcoming in every aspect compared to its NATO counterparts. Again, where is your evidence showing destroyed Cobras? You have no evidence because russian morons managed to incapacitate ONE Cobra only, the famous Cobra number 307 :)

Georgians did not loose so many vehicles in Tshkinvali, but in the whole region. Most burned vehicles in the city are either Ossetian or Russian. What are you some type of military expert . How would you know what kind of a weapon can penetrate the armor of the Cobra. I would be surprised if the front armor of this light vehicle could stop a 12.7mm ( .50 cal) round entering the cabin or knocking a component of the engine out.

This vehicle was meant to be used in the open with a fairly high rate of speed. The way the Georgians were using it in their armor columns i don't see any way how only 1 was destroyed and 1 was captured

Russian Tank Force consisted mainly of advanced and uparmored T-72 models, superior to their Georgian counterparts in terms of active and passive armor. Georgians on the other hand had the advantige of night and thermal vision systems, which had no sence, since tanks did not engage at night anyway.
