Dylan wasn't the first to sing this song. there are alot of versions of this song. I have heard most of them and I like this one alot. Personally I think it is best sang as blues.
It is a Dylan song...on the album The Freewheelin Bob Dylan. Its a cover, I like the original better, but this ain't bad. Plus I have to respect it, its Conor.
corection: *the original is not bob dylan. it is bo chatmon, lonnie chatmon and charley mccoy. tho bob's version wasnt bad it came about 30 years later. taj mahal's was the best cover in my opinion.
I found the Bob Dylan version and the Taj Mahal version... but I cant seem to find the Bo Chatmon version. Or anything about any musician named Bo Chatmon.
Any suggestions where I could get the album with that song? I'd like to hear all versions of this song...
I just remembered there's a spanish bit, I don't know where that comes from....a translation would be cool :)
That's blues though borrow odds and ends; dylan didn't write this he just made it famous...I think it's a traditional...i.e so old and endlessly tweaked no one knows who wrote it
one of my favorite pictures of conor!! <3

God I love this. There's so many versions of this song that it's insane.

The original dates back to around 1918, originally called Corine Corina, nor a Dylan song..

This is a cool version! Thanks!

This IS NOT originally done by Bob Dylan. He covered the song just like Conor. It's a traditional folk song. A good one at that.

this isn't really an exact cover, he add a lot of lines...
i love it!
he was SOOOO good at the show(:
erinnoel1 3 years ago
A lot of the added lines come from other blues songs, in fact I think all of them do.
From where did you sleep last night?, to Robert Johnson's 32-20 Blues.
Dir.... :P
