AMAZING! I listented to the entire album "Broken Social Scene". AMAZING. This was my favorite part. The ending with the horns always gets me, I love how it builds up.
Hm.... after hearing the song "n" times, i can tell tilhon is right. He sings "I saw KREMLIN turn into light", not "Cranley". Anyway, as I stated, the novelist is Ibi Kaslik, not Krasik.
The Japanese release of the self-titled does contain a booklet with the original lyrics.. in that booklet it has "I saw gazza turn into light".. could be a misprint and should be spelled Gaza, but who knows.
it KILLS me that I can't buy this on iTunes anywhere.

Did anyone else hear Modest Mouse's One Chance there at the end? He works it in well.

@tilhon actually its "I saw Cranley turn into light"
not "I saw Kremlin turn into light."
The lyric refers to Evan Cranley who is dating Ibi Krasik (a novelist/friend who is the inspiration for this song)
so.... yea... it's not really that confusing...

I love how Kevin changes the lyrics to all the songs when he sings the live version. The reference to Evan was pretty cool.
