:) I love dogs to. It's all about how you raise the dog! I life on a farm and whenever I am outside, Zara walks loose and does not run away.

Only when we go running she is on the leech (or how you spell it ?)

Other then that she is completely free :)

hey i noticed at around 1:19 the pups eyes were a little crooked. did they straighten out later on? im getting a husky pup and her eyes are just like that! lol im curious if they are going to stay like that or straighten with time?

It's because of the flashlight from the camera that the eyes look like that.

The eyes were normal then and are still normal now :P

PLEASE - do your research first!!! Huskies are a VERY high maintenance dog - they MUST be walked for 30 - 45 minutes EVERY DAY or they get destructive - they dig and chew from boredom! If daily walks and play for about 30 minutes EVERY DAY - they are the most loveable, kind and wonderful dog you will ever know!!!

Also measure from the eye to the nose - NOT between the eyes - their face fur or "mask" is very deceptive!!!! The one at 1:19 does NOT have crooked eyes - just an unbalanced mask.

GREAT - that is the first step in being a very good dog owner!!! And it gets easier - once you have established a bond with the dog. Just remember that you are the pack leader - and that Husky will give you more pleasure than any dog you've ever known!!!!

I shy away form red huskies - mainly because I had one - and one night - he chewed the spare tire on my Datsun 300ZX!!!! That was a $120 mistake - on my part - he's just being a Husky!!!!

thanks for the advice! she has been home for about a week now and im trying to form that bond with her. shes biting everything she sees but i understand that its from teething. havent taken her out yet until she gets her first shots next week. any advice on curbing the biting? ive heard using ice helps to numb their gums, and i know walking them calms them, but i cant take her out just yet.

4) Cage train her. Outside to the bathroom then put her in HER cage at night. Shell cry at first. ALWAYS take her outside first thing in the morning. NEVER break this cycle!! Dogs generally will not make their bed their bathroom but her little bladder is only so strong!! No water after last bathroom break! Once cage trained they can sleep in the house and you do not have to worry about her using your carpet for her bathroom!

i already have some toys for her but she really doesnt favor any of them. her attention span is short of course and im not sure how to go about playing with her without her biting? i love to play with her but then she starts to bite, sometimes harder than other times. do i just give her the toy when we play? sorry for bothering im just trying to get as much information as possible.

Her attention span is very short. Don't give her MANY toys - just 1 toy - if she will not pick 1 - you pick 1!!!

If she bites - (NEVER punish a dog by hitting them - NEVER!) Hold her chin so she is looking at you and FIRMLY say "NO, ZARA!" (ALWAYS SAY THE SAME THING WHEN CORRECTING HER - "NO ZARA!") nothing more - don't confuse her!! And no play for a few minutes shell know youre serious!! BE CONSISTANT!! Then - more play with the toy!! !! It'll take a few days but she'll learn!

ZARA's main problem is she wants VERY MUCH to please you - but has no idea how to do it - you have to show her. Praise her OFTEN when she is good - scold her when she is bad - but NOT OFTEN!!!

You are in a pack and ONE of you will be the pack leader - and Zara wants the job - if you are not going to take it!

Also if she has a bad day - lay off of her dont scold her more that 3 or 4 times a day - too confusing for her!! ALWAYS PRAISE HER with rubbing (they LOVE a good behind the ear scratch)

Both of mine had a doggie door to the basement - if it was too hot - they stayed in the basement!! Keeping them outside is paramount - but in the late spring when they start to shed - it WILL look like you've been plucking chickens - there are little tuffs of fur all over the place!!!!

Did you know that Zara's is a HUGE clothing chain in China/Europe???? I have seen them in Hong Kong, Moscow, Paris, Rome and in Anatalya, Turkey!!!

Well, Zara has a little doghouse of herslef (she sleeps in it and that's where she eats and drinks.

She can rest there in the shadow. (you can see here 'houe' in other vids)

1) Get her a special toy that SHE likes to chew! Play with her using the toy until she gets the idea it is HER toy for chewing!!!

2) Switch dog foods. Chewing is due to a dietary deficiency - and if you dont stop her chewing - it becomes a habit!!

3) Play Play Play - shell wear you out!!!

3.5) NEVER play by letting her on top of you - when on the floor - YOU think it is play - SHE thinks it is dominating you!! YOU are HER pack leader - NEVER let her dominate you!!

i had to put my beautiful husky named miko down on march 2nd 08,she was 15 years old and i miss her very much.i also had a male husky named rocky who lived for 17 years,1974-1991.they are the most beautiful and sweet tempered dogs on gods green earth,i love them!

int begin lijken ze een beetje op een pibull (vind ik, met die oogjes zo dicht en een knorrig gezicht) maar verder zijn ze superleuk. Ik heb alleen iets tegen mensen die een huisdier houden. Die beesten kunnen alleen naar buiten als t baasje t wil en veel mensen laten de hongen poepen op plekken waar kinderen spelen en rapen t vervolgens niet op.

Honden zelf (huskies, duitse herders en sint-bernards) zijn heel lief. (en handig als stofzuiger wanneer ze klein zijn)

Nee bij ons heeft ze genoeg loop/speel ruimte en wordt ze 4 keer per dag zkrs uitgelaten :)

Poepen doet ze waar ze wil (leef op een boerderij!) zolang het maar niet in de tuin of op het gras is XD

Well, the mother isen't mine. I just have one of here pups, Zara. Zara is now 11 weeks old and doing very good :D Love here to the death.

But the owners of Zara's mother are breaders of siberian huskies, they now have 14 of them. We now are good friends with the breaders. This may the organise a puppy day. It's a day when all the puppies of all their netst will come together for a nice and funny day with the dogs. 2 see how every one is doing :)
