Your ghost ship is faulty. You can change the scenery in the options to make the yacht look like a ghost ship.

HAH- no.

Although something similar is the Gulfstream line of aircraft, which are modified by the USCG for Search&Rescue ops. Along the same lines of a learjet.

But it's primarily Helicopters that are used for SAR.

You'll need to drop the supply pod on the yacht by pressing "Ctrl+D".

If you've having trouble getting the pod on the thing, approach it parallel, not from the side.
