  • lol benedikt is way stronger cause he doesnt need a deadlift suit unlike andy but both are strongman

  • DAGATT

  • Pause at 2:32. That is some Michael Jordan vert.

  • viking power

  • viking power

  • Gotta love bennie's theatrics

  • @wralphh Indeed

  • its funny how much stonrger he got after this he deadlifted 1100 lbs :O

  • @ieatshitsticks But he only deadlifted 1000 in the tire deadlift. It's easier than the normal one.

  • such an intense battle here. i play some crazy music and watch this

  • wow Benedikt is a freak show lol very funny to watch

  • He is imploring fortuna & fate! That is absolutely amazing and endearing! Great show, thank you for sharing!

  • straps arent allowed in powerlifting comps idiot

  • Oh wow that's funny when he jumps he looks like he is lifting off for flight. superman is real.

  • 968 w/ no straps...

  • how the fuck does he jump that high?

  • olympic weightlifting makes you jump really fucking high

  • @orlyrabbit this isn't olympic weight lifting. But his legs are insanely strong that is probably why he can jump so high.

  • Mangusson is impressive beyond measure no doubt, but Bolton is the better powerlifter for sure.

  • @DreamBig2GoBig Bolton is a better powerlifter but Magnusson is a better deadlifter and strongman.

  • @fitzyking1 Magnusson is better than Bolton.?!?! u r really ignorant... Bolton is the king of deadlift. The record of magnusson 1100 lbs deadift is not real WR (with straps)... the real WR is 1008lbs by Andy bolton with NO STRAPS, OLYMPIC BAR AND PLATES thats a REAL SHIT!!!!

  • ahh.... nah mate magnusson. Is a better deadlifter with an olympic bar....

  • @fitzyking1 he's not a better deadlifter at all...magnusson will even admit it.

  • @dm325 hes nearly 20 years younger and his lifts are basically the same but magnusson can lock out his hips and knee's.

  • @Nizmoj0

Benedikt Magnusson has deadlifted 450 kg easy with an olympic bar raw while he was training for Arnold classic. So I guess Benedikt is a better deadlifter. I have deadlifted with him and I can tell you he is so ridiculously strong.

  • Dragon Ball Z

  • Benedikt is like a mad man in this video. Awesome lifting, the guy is a machine...Respect!

  • magnusson is not human

  • holy crap what's benedikt's vertical?

  • fucken ogres hahaha damn....

  • i love how puss faggot always bitch about steriods but never with power liften when their just as bad if not worse

  • what do the greens weight? 50g?

  • these guys are my freaken heros thats real lifting

  • I nearly choked on my water when I saw Benedikt jump.

  • Benni just did this in training 320-360-400-420-450kg easy. I got it from his blog. He is going to be at Arnold Classic Strongman.

  • where can you read his blog? does he have a homepage?

  • hey guys...bolton lifted 3 heavy squats and 3 heavy benches before while benni took just bird weight token sq and bench before dl. BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG difference, benni is awesome but bolton is the better man

  • andy is the man

  • awesome lifting. the deadlift what can you say. great!

  • two of the strongest. hats off for this guys.

  • the beste tff on earth

  • crazy shit 440 KG Damn good man , damn good

  • kid. this is for str. not who looks "skinny" or "buff" the point is being strong vs a body builder who (is strong) but is going for mass, lean, ect. anyone can diet down to be skinny (they just dont care)

  • powerlifting is not about how you look. "IT'S ABOUT HOW MUCH FUCKING WEIGHT YOU CAN MOVE."

  • the point is that your strong as hell

  • He may have a belly, but that celebration leap at the end of the WR lift was about a 30 inch vertical. That's VERY fucking athletic... so he must be pretty quick too over short distances.

  • quick over short distances? He's a powerlifter, not a sprinter. The training and thus conditioning are nothing alike.

  • Over short distances (e.g. 40 yard dash) you won't need "conditioning" to perform above average, just brief power. He's already demonstrated he has that explosive power by being able to jump around 30 inches at a very heavy bodyweight.

By the way, many olympic sprinters can squat 500-600 pounds. They train for power and speed, as opposed to endurance.

  • you are confussing power and speed with strength - strength is very different to power or speed. By developing his strength he would have traded off considerable speed. Also developing legs for slow strength movements will not make huge advances in the athlete's ability to sprint.

  • That may be true for many powerlifters, but in this specific case his demonstrated 30 inch vertical leap (widely acknowledged as a key indicator of power and therefore speed) defies your generalized theories, doesn't it?

  • Well that is probably true, Benedikt does train for, and compete in, strongman comps which involves a good deal of non-strength dominate exercises. But 30 inches seems like a bit of an exaggeration.

  • I'm prepared to accept that I'm wrong, but 30 inches is my best estimate based on the following: his height is around 6'2" or 6'3", making his inseam about 32-34 inches. The bottom of his heels at full jump are about 2-4 inches below the level of where his inseam is when standing. So I arrive at an average of 30.

  • lol i like your name. i saw that on a florida license plate once.

  • You're the only person in 2 years of using this name that recognized where I got it from. :)

  • sweet!!!!!

  • i agree benni would probably have a really fast 40 yard dash haha, for his size at least...the 40 yard dash has a lot to do with acceleration and leg strength..also Benni looks like he has good coordination he would probably make a good offensive lineman for the NFL haha

  • Maybe that is what he should do, compared to someone in the NFL lifters bust their asses for penuts.

  • Just to clarify an earlier comment I made, I was saying that NFL athletes get payed a lot more than powerlifters.

I personally feel powerlifters and many other strength athletes don't get the recognition they deserve.

  • @jonathanwindham agree!

  • super!

  • These guys are awesome.

  • magnusson do only 360 kg in 2003 ipf ...

  • benedict sure is energetic and intense hahaha luv it

  • BEASTS!
